The pollen morphology of nine tree species belonging to six genera (Acnistus, Aureliana, Brunfelsia, Capsicum, Cestrum, and Solanum)of the Solanaceae family and occurring in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, was considered in the present paper. The pollen grains were grouped into six pollen types corresponding to the six genera examined. An identification key for the nine species was presented. Species of a same genus differ by morphological secondary features only, maintaining an unique pollen type.
