ABSTRACT Sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) is a group of disorders associated with breathing anomalies during sleep. Easily detectable by sound, snoring is one of the most common manifestations and the main sign of SDB. Snoring is characteristic of breathing sound during sleep, without apnea, hypoventilation, or interrupted sleep. It may reduce the percentage of sleep and increase microarousals due to breathing effort or gas exchange. A range of questionnaires have been validated and adapted to the pediatric population to screen for patients who require laboratory testing. The Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) screens for SDB and identifies primary signs such as snoring. RoncoLab is a mobile application that records and measures snoring intensity and frequency Aim To compare the RoncoLab app and the PSQ regarding how efficiently they diagnose snoring Materials and Method This was an observational, analytical study of 31 children aged 7 to 11 years who visited the pediatric dental clinic at Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Mexico (BUAP). The PSQ was applied to diagnose SDB. Guardians were then instructed on how to download and use the mobile application to record data while the child was sleeping at home. Agreement between RoncoLab and the PSQ was analyzed statistically by Cohen’s Kappa index at 95% confidence level Results The Kappa index for identification of primary snoring was 0.743 (p<0.05). App sensitivity was 0.92, and specificity 0.82 Conclusion There is good agreement between PSQ and RoncoLab for diagnosing primary snoring, with acceptable sensitivity and specificity.

RESUMEN Los trastornos respiratorios del sueño (TRS) son un grupo de padecimientos asociados con anormalidades respiratorias del sueño. Una de las manifestaciones más comunes es el ronquido; signo fácil de detectar por el ruido que emite y se considera como el signo principal. Este trastorno es característico del ruido respiratorio durante el sueño, sin apneas, hipoventilación, ni interrupciones del sueño. Este puede ocasionar disminución del porcentaje del sueño y aumentar los microdespertares, esto debido al esfuerzo respiratorio o al intercambio de gases. En la actualidad existen cuestionarios validados y adaptados para la población pediátrica útiles como herramienta clínica para el tamizaje y selección de pacientes que requieran pruebas de laboratorio. El Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) permite el cribado de TRS e identificación de signos primarios como el ronquido. RoncoLab es una aplicación móvil que registra y mide la intensidad y frecuencia del ronquido. Objetivo Comparar la eficacia del diagnóstico del ronquido por medio del RoncoLab contrastado con el PSQ Materiales y Método Estudio observacional, analítico, en el cual se incluyeron 31 niños de 7 a 11 años, que acudieron a la clínica de odontopediatría de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, México (BUAP) Se aplicó el PSQ a los 31 niños para el diagnóstico de TRS, después se le instruyó al tutor como descargar y utilizar la aplicación móvil para registrar los datos obtenidos en las horas de sueño en casa. El análisis estadístico de concordancia entre los instrumentos diagnósticos se realizó con el Índice Kappa de Cohen a un nivel de confianza del 95% Resultados El Índice de Kappa para la identificación de los ronquidos primarios fue de 0.743 (p<0.05). La sensibilidad de la aplicación fue de 0.92, mientras la especificidad fue de 0.82 Conclusión Existe buena concordancia entre el PSQ y el RoncoLab en el diagnóstico de ronquido primario, con sensibilidad y especificidad aceptable.

The use of alternative raw materials is essential for establishing a circular economy in the mineral and ironmaking sectors. Therefore, this study investigates the potential of lime sludge as fluxing material during pelletization and proposes an alternative route for the usage of waste. The pellets were manufactured with different binary basicity values (CaO/SiO2) (0.15-0.45) and bentonite (0.5-0.7 wt%) and fixed carbon (0.5-1.1 wt%) contents. The results demonstrated that lime sludge has significant potential for application in pelletization. Pellet quality was evaluated using drop number, mechanical strength, tumble index, porosity, and kinetic analyses. Pellets with the optimal composition using lime sludge withstood 3.6 drops/pellet, a tumble test of 1.57 wt.%, and a mechanical strength test of 214.83 kgf/pellet and exhibited a porosity of 31.28%. Lime sludge did not influence the reducibility of the iron-ore pellets. In the temperature range of 800-900 °C, the reaction was controlled by diffusion, with Ea between 179.89 and 233.10 kJ/mol.

Abstract Beaucarnea inermis is an endemic species from Northeast Mexico, in the states of San Luis Potosí and Tamaulipas. It is appreciated as an ornamental plant, so its populations are subject to the poaching of individuals for illegal trade. Previous studies determined that their populations have been affected due to the disturbance since the incidence of anthropogenic activities affects the viability of the species. Here we determine the current conservation status of B. inermis and identify their main risk factor by performing an extinction risk assessment based on the Annex II “Method for Evaluation of Risk of Extinction of Plants in Mexico”. We studied 10 populations of B. inermis from protected and non-protected areas in San Luis Potosí and Tamaulipas. We considered the MER criteria: A) geographical distribution characteristics, B) habitat characteristics, C) intrinsic biological vulnerability, and D) impact of human activity. Using field and analyzed data, the MER assessment gives 1.91 points that confirm B. inermis is correctly classified as an Endangered species. The natural protected areas where the species occurs represent cores for its protection; however, the surface of these areas may not be sufficient without biological corridors that connect them.

Resumen Beaucarnea inermis es una especie endémica del Noroeste de México distribuida en los estados de San Luis Potosí y Tamaulipas. Es apreciada como planta ornamental, por lo que sus poblaciones están sujetas al saqueo de individuos para su comercialización ilegal. En trabajos anteriores se determinó que sus poblaciones han sido afectadas debido al disturbio por la incidencia de actividades antrópicas que afectan su viabilidad. En la presente contribución se determina el nivel de riesgo de B. inermis con base en el Anexo Normativo II “Método de Evaluación de Riesgo de Extinción de Plantas en México”. Se estudiaron 10 poblaciones de B. inermis en San Luis Potosí y Tamaulipas, tanto en áreas naturales protegidas como en sitios no protegidos. Los criterios MER considerados fueron: A) características de la distribución geográfica, B) características del hábitat, C) vulnerabilidad biológica intrínseca y D) impacto de la actividad humana. El análisis MER arroja un valor de 1.91 que, confirma a B. inermis dentro de la categoría de Amenazada. Las áreas naturales protegidas donde se distribuye la especie funcionan como núcleos de protección, sin embargo, su superficie puede no ser suficiente sin la presencia de corredores biológicos que las conecten.

Abstract The use of synthetic chemical compounds to preserve foods or treat diseases of bacterial origin is limited because they can cause health damage. Therefore, the food and livestock industries seek natural strategies to preserve foods and preserve the health of animals intended for human consumption. In this sense, some extracts of plant from Sonora, Mexico could be an alternative due to the great diversity of plants and the fact that some of them are traditionally used to treat diseases. On the other hand, there are few studies that support the biological activity of ethanolic extracts of Gnaphalium oxyphyllum (E1) and Euphorbia maculata (E2). In this study, phytochemical content was determined by spectrophotometry, antimicrobial activity was determined by agar diffusion and antioxidant activity was evaluated by ABTS, DPPH and FRAP. The results showed that the E1 and E2 extracts had total phenols, total flavonoids, flavones and flavonols, total flavanones and dihydroflavonols, as well as total tannins, total chlorogenic acid and total polysaccharides. In addition, both extracts showed higher antimicrobial activity against Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 19115, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium ATCC 14028 when 1 mg ml-1 was used (P<0.05). In addition, they presented antioxidant activity by the methods of ABTS, DPPH and FRAP. Therefore, the antimicrobial and antioxidant potential of these plants represents a natural alternative to control some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria in the livestock industry, as well as for food preservation.

Resumen El uso de compuestos químicos sintéticos para conservar alimentos o tratar enfermedades de origen bacteriano está limitado debido a que pueden ocasionar daños en la salud. Por ello, las industrias alimentaria y pecuaria buscan estrategias naturales para conservar alimentos y mantener la salud de los animales destinados a consumo humano. En este sentido, algunos extractos de plantas provenientes de Sonora, México podrían ser una alternativa debido a la gran diversidad de plantas y que algunas de ellas se utilizan tradicionalmente para tratar enfermedades. Por otro lado, son pocos los estudios que sustentan la actividad biológica de los extractos etanólicos de Gnaphalium oxyphyllum (E1) y Euphorbia maculata (E2). En este estudio, el contenido de fitoquímicos se determinó por espectrofotometría, la actividad antimicrobiana se determinó por difusión en agar y la actividad antioxidante se evaluó por ABTS, DPPH y FRAP. Los resultados mostraron que los extractos E1 y E2 presentaron fenoles totales, flavonoides totales, flavonas y flavonoles, flavanonas y dihidroflavonoles totales, así como, taninos totales, ácido clorogénico total y polisacáridos totales. Además, ambos extractos mostraron mayor actividad antimicrobiana contra Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 19115, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 y Salmonella entérica serovar Typhimurium ATCC 14028 cuando se utilizó 1 mg ml-1 (P<0.05). Además, presentaron actividad antioxidante por los métodos de ABTS, DPPH y FRAP. Por lo anterior, el potencial antimicrobiano y antioxidante de estas plantas representa una alternativa natural para controlar algunas bacterias Gram positivas y Gram negativas en la industria pecuaria, así como para la conservación de alimentos.

RESUMEN: La pandemia mundial causada por la COVID-19 obligó a muchos países a establecer fuertes restricciones a la movilidad y el acceso a numerosos servicios. México no fue la excepción, y especialmente el servicio de alimentos experimentó cambios radicales que obligaron a las empresas a adaptar o expandir sus servicios de entrega de alimentos. No solo las organizaciones sufrieron este cambio abrupto, sino que los clientes también se vieron en la necesidad de aventurarse en esta modalidad, desconocida o apenas explorada para muchos de ellos antes de la pandemia. Frente a este escenario, las organizaciones mostraron desconocimiento con respecto al rol del cliente que permite el logro conjunto de los beneficios esperados durante el proceso de intercambio de valor. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo validar si el comportamiento de participación del cliente (CPB, en inglés) y el comportamiento de ciudadanía del cliente (CCB, en inglés) están relacionados con la generación del comportamiento de cocreación de valor con el cliente (CVCB, en inglés) en el ecosistema de servicios de entrega de alimentos en México. A través de una investigación cuantitativa, se aplicaron encuestas en línea basadas en la escala CVCB propuesta por Yi y Gong (2013). Además, se empleó el modelado de componentes jerárquicos como instrumento estadístico. Los resultados destacan que tanto el CPB como el CCB están positiva y significativamente relacionados con el CVCB, siendo el comportamiento responsable y el intercambio de información las variables mayormente relacionadas con el CPB. En cuanto al CCB, la recomendación y el apoyo a otros clientes son las variables con mayor relación. Estos hallazgos invitan a los gerentes de establecimientos de alimentos a reforzar acciones específicas para desarrollar un comportamiento de cocreación entre sus clientes, con lo cual podrán enfrentar los desafíos que establece esta modalidad de servicio.

ABSTRACT: The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 forced many countries worldwide to establish severe restrictions on mobility and access to numerous services. Mexico was no exception, and especially food service underwent radical changes that forced businesses to move into or expand food service delivery. Not only organizations suffered this abrupt change, but customers also had to venture into this modality, which was unknown or barely explored for many. Faced with this scenario, organizations showed a lack of knowledge about the customer role that positively contributes to the joint achievement of the expected benefits during the value exchange. This research aims to verify if Customer Participation Behavior (CPB) and Customer Citizenship Behavior (CCB) are related to Customer Value Co-creation Behavior (CVCB) generation in the Mexican food service delivery ecosystem. Through a quantitative research, online surveys based on the CVCB scale by Yi and Gong (2013) were applied. Besides, a hierarchical component modeling was used as a statistical instrument. The results highlight that both CPB and CCB are positively and significantly related to CVCB, being responsible behavior and information sharing the variables most related to CPB. As for CCB, recommendation and helping other customers are the variables with the highest relationship. These findings encourage food establishment managers to reinforce specific actions in order to develop co-creation behavior among their customers, and therefore meet the challenges posed to this service modality.

RESUMO: A pandemia global causada pela COVID-19 forçou muitos países em todo o mundo a estabelecer restrições severas à mobilidade e ao acesso a inúmeros serviços. O México não foi exceção, e especialmente o serviço de alimentos sofreu mudanças radicais que forçaram as empresas a fazerem parte ou expandirem a prestação de serviços de alimentação. Não só as organizações sofreram essa mudança abrupta, mas os clientes também tiveram que se aventurar nessa modalidade, que era desconhecida ou pouco explorada para muitos. Diante desse cenário, as organizações demonstraram desconhecimento sobre o papel do cliente que contribui positivamente para a conquista conjunta dos benefícios esperados durante a troca de valores. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo verificar se o Comportamento de Participação do Cliente (na sigla em inglês, CPB) e o Comportamento de Cidadania do Cliente (CCB, também da sigla em inglês) estão relacionados à geração de Comportamento de Cocriação de Valor do Cliente (CVCB, em inglês) no ecossistema mexicano de serviços de entrega de alimentos. Por meio de uma pesquisa quantitativa, foram aplicadas enquetes on-line baseadas na escala CVCB de Yi e Gong (2013). Além disso, uma modelagem de componentes hierárquicos foi utilizada como instrumento estatístico. Os resultados destacam que tanto o CPB quanto o CCB são positivos e significativamente relacionados ao CVCB, sendo o "comportamento responsável" e o "compartilhamento de informações" as variáveis mais relacionadas ao CPB. Quanto ao CCB, a "recomendação" e a "ajuda de outros clientes" são as variáveis com maior vínculo. Essas descobertas incentivam os gerentes de estabelecimentos de alimentos a reforçar ações específicas para desenvolver o comportamento de cocriação entre seus clientes e, portanto, atender aos desafios colocados nessa modalidade de atendimento.

Resumen La mastitis bovina es una enfermedad causada por bacterias patógenas que infectan la glándula mamaria del ganado lechero, lo cual genera pérdidas económicas importantes, además, debido al uso excesivo de antibióticos para tratar esta enfermedad, los microorganismos han creado resistencia a estos fármacos, por ello, se buscan nuevas alternativas para este fin. El objetivo fue evaluar el efecto antimicrobiano de extractos de plantas nativas de Sonora contra bacterias patógenas aisladas de vacas diagnosticadas con mastitis. Se obtuvieron 17 extractos etanólicos de plantas nativas de Sonora, y se evaluó su actividad antimicrobiana por el método de difusión en agar contra siete patógenos aislados de leche de vacas con mastitis utilizando una concentración de 50 mg/ml de cada extracto. El contenido de fenoles y flavonoides totales se determinó mediante espectrofotometría. Los resultados mostraron que los extractos de Ibervillea sonorae (wereke, tubérculo), Populus alba (álamo, hojas), Ambrosia ambrosioides (chicura, tallos), Krameria sonorae (cosahui, raíces) y Prosopis velutina (mezquite, hojas) fueron eficaces para eliminar a S. aureus, Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Shigella spp. y Citrobacter spp. (P<0.05). Además, los extractos con alto contenido de fenoles y flavonoides totales (wereke, álamo, chicura, cosahui y mezquite) mostraron una correlación inversa con respecto al pH (r = -0.94, r = -0.92, respectivamente) (P<0.05) y presentaron mayor actividad antimicrobiana contra los patógenos probados. Por lo anterior, los extractos de las plantas de Sonora podrían representar una alternativa para el control de patógenos Gram (+) y Gram (-) que infectan la glándula mamaria del ganado lechero.

Abstract Bovine mastitis is a disease caused by pathogenic bacteria that infect the mammary gland of dairy cattle, which generates significant economic losses, in addition, due to the excessive use of antibiotics to treat this disease, microorganisms have created resistance to these drugs, therefore, new alternatives are sought for this purpose. The objective was to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of extracts of plant native to Sonora against pathogenic bacteria isolated from cows diagnosed with mastitis. Seventeen ethanolic extracts were obtained from plants native to Sonora, and their antimicrobial activity was evaluated by the agar diffusion method against seven pathogens isolated from milk from cows with mastitis, using a concentration of 50 mg/ml of each extract. The content of total phenols and flavonoids was determined by spectrophotometry. The results showed that extracts of Ibervillea sonorae (wereke, tuber), Populus alba (poplar, leaves), Ambrosia ambrosioides (chicura, stems), Krameria sonorae (cosahui, roots) and Prosopis velutina (mesquite, leaves) were effective in eliminating S. aureus, Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Shigella spp. and Citrobacter spp. (P<0.05). In addition, extracts high in total phenols and flavonoids (wereke, poplar, chicura, cosahui and mesquite) showed an inverse correlation with respect to pH (r= -0.94, r= -0.92, respectively) (P<0.05) and had greater antimicrobial activity against the tested pathogens. Therefore, the extracts of plants from Sonoran could represent an alternative for the control of Gram (+) and Gram (-) pathogens that infect the mammary gland of dairy cattle.

Abstract Background: Acute otitis media (AOM) is one of the most prevalent acute conditions in the pediatric population worldwide. This work aimed to elaborate a Clinical Practice Guideline with clinical recommendations systematically developed to assist decision-making of specialists, patients, caregivers, and public policymakers involved in managing patients with AOM in children. Methods: This document was developed by the College of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and Head, and Neck Surgery of Mexico (COPEME) in compliance with international standards. The SIGN quality of evidence classification was used. On behalf of the COPEME, the Guideline Development Group (GDG) was integrated, including otolaryngologists, infectologists, pediatricians, general practitioners, and methodologists with experience in systematic literature reviews and the development of clinical practice guidelines. Results: A consensus was reached on 18 clinical questions, covering what was previously established by the GDG in the scope document of the guidelines. Scientific evidence answering each of these clinical questions was identified and critically evaluated. The GDG agreed on the final wording of the clinical recommendations using the modified Delphi panel technique. Specialists and patient representatives conducted an external validation. Conclusions: This Clinical Practice Guideline presents clinical recommendations for the prevention, diagnosis, and management of AOM to assist shared decision-making among physicians, patients, and caregivers and improve the quality of clinical care.

Resumen Introducción: La otitis media aguda (OMA) es uno de los padecimientos agudos más prevalentes en la población pediátrica a escala global. El objetivo de este trabajo fue elaborar una guía de práctica clínica con recomendaciones para asistir la toma de decisiones de médicos especialistas, pacientes, cuidadores de pacientes y elaboradores de políticas públicas involucrados en el manejo de la OMA en niños. Métodos: El documento ha sido desarrollado por parte del Colegio de Otorrinolaringología y Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello Pediátricas de México (COPEME) en cumplimiento con los estándares internacionales. Se empleó la clasificación de calidad de la evidencia de SIGN. En representación del COPEME, se integró el Grupo de Desarrollo de la Guía (GDG), que incluyó otorrinolaringólogos, infectólogos, pediatras, médicos generales y metodólogos con experiencia en revisiones sistemáticas de la literatura y el desarrollo de guías de práctica clínica. Resultados: Se consensuaron 18 preguntas clínicas que abarcaron lo establecido previamente por el GDG en el documento de alcances de la Guía. Se identificó la evidencia científica que responde a cada una de estas preguntas clínicas y se evaluó críticamente. El GDG acordó la redacción final de las recomendaciones clínicas mediante la técnica Delphi de panel. Se llevó a cabo una validación externa por colegas especialistas y representantes de pacientes. Conclusiones: En esta Guía de Práctica Clínica se presentan recomendaciones clínicas para la prevención, el diagnóstico y el manejo de la OMA, con el fin de asistir la toma de decisiones compartidas entre médicos, pacientes y cuidadores con la intención de contribuir a mejorar la calidad de la atención clínica.

Abstract Background: In pandemic times, social isolation is of utmost importance to minimize the spread of the SARS-Cov-2 virus. At times like these, home fitness becomes extremely necessary to avoid sedentarism and decompensation in chronic disease patients. Objectives: Evaluate the engagement of rehabilitation patients to a tele- oriented exercise program at home (TOEP). Materials and Methods: 66 of 94 patients (63.8% males; 65.5±14 years old; 5.2±2.6 months in rehabilitation) agreed to take part. Subjects were grouped in three levels of functionality to guide the exercise prescription. Weekly Training Rates (WTR) were compared using the Friedman test and corrected by Dunn's test. A multivariate logistic model was designed to determine independent predictors in program engagement. Statistical significance was determined by a p<0.05. Results: TOEP provided WTR similar to the pre-quarantine values of 2.8/week (p>0.05), and 91.8% of patients took part until the end of those 5 weeks. The presence of diabetes was a predicted factor for low engagement to TOEP with relative risk of 0.41 (CI95%: 0.25 to 0.66). Conclusion: TOEP provided satisfactory engagement in rehabilitation patients. Most of them increased WTR during quarantine. Patients with diabetes displayed lower engagement to the minimum standard frequency.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Nursing conceptions and their object of study as art and ethics accompany the thinking and actions of professionals; technical-scientific development and daily life impregnate nuances that transform them. However, it is necessary to visualize the elements of these dimensions present in professional performance and shown in research. Objective: To systematize the conceptions of art and ethics in nursing care. Methods: A systematic review was carried out, from 2015 to 2020, in view of a reflective critical analysis of the contents of documents published during five years, using a clear methodology and theoretical reference selected during the months from September to October 2020. Descriptors identified in DeCS were used, together with Boolean operators: cuidados de enfermería [nursing care] OR enfermería [nursing] AND ética en enfermería [nursing ethics] AND arte [art]. The search was carried out in the databases SciELO, Redalyc, Medigraphic and Index. The flow chart Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses was used to contribute to the formulation of the search strategy. Conclusions: The systematization and analysis of the conceptions of nursing care as art and ethics shows their development and professional independence in several contexts. During the systematization, the links between caring for the human being as art and ethics were established. In addition, the approach to ethics of care and care per se were established, based on different perspectives in which its margins are blurred in the practice of human care.

RESUMEN Introducción: Las concepciones de enfermería y su objeto de estudio como arte y ética acompañan el pensamiento y el actuar de los profesionales, el desarrollo científico técnico y la cotidianidad impregnan matices que los transforman. Sin embargo, es necesario visualizar los elementos de estas dimensiones que están presentes en el desempeño profesional y que se muestran en las investigaciones. Objetivo: Sistematizar las concepciones de arte y ética en el cuidado de enfermería. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión sistemática para un análisis crítico reflexivo de contenidos de documentos publicados durante 5 años, desde 2015 a 2020 con una clara metodología y referencial teórico seleccionado durante los meses de septiembre - octubre del 2020. Se utilizaron los descriptores identificados en DeCS y operadores booleanos: “cuidados de enfermería” OR “enfermería” AND “ética en enfermería” AND “arte”. La búsqueda fue realizada en las bases de datos SciELO, Redalyc, Medigraphic e Index. Se utilizó el diagrama de flujo Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses para contribuir a la formulación de la estrategia de búsqueda. Conclusiones: La sistematización y análisis de las concepciones del cuidado de enfermería como arte y ética muestra su desarrollo y la independencia profesional en diversos contextos. Durante la sistematización se establecieron los nexos entre el cuidado al ser humano como arte y ética. Además, el tratamiento de la ética del cuidado y los cuidados abordados desde perspectivas distintas en la que sus márgenes se desdibujan en la práctica del cuidado humano.

ABSTRACT: Chile is the second-largest producer of Atlantic salmon in the world, and the Chilean salmon production accounts for 27% of the world’s production. One important step of the productive cycle in freshwater is the smoltification process that prepares the fish for the marine life stage. This review describes the biological basis of smoltification in Atlantic salmon, with particular attention on branchial osmoregulatory adaptations. We also discuss some of the infectious diseases and problems in smoltification (two of the main causes of losses in Chilean aquaculture) that could be related from a physiological point of view.

Abstract In this document some considerations about the importance of teaching models according to the objectives in the Physical Education and Sports Initiation class are exposed. The relevance for the teacher is considered to know how to select the relevant teaching model according to the type of sports initiation and determine the objectives corresponding to the teaching-learning process within the class system of each unit, period or cycle to fulfill the purposes of each program during the school year. Similarly, it is considered necessary to make a referral to facilitate the appropriation of knowledge, skills and the physical and educational development of students.

Resumen En el presente documento se exponen algunas consideraciones sobre la importancia de los modelos de enseñanza de acuerdo a los objetivos en la clase de Educación Física e Iniciación Deportiva. Se considera la relevancia que tiene para el profesor saber seleccionar el modelo de enseñanza pertinente de acuerdo al tipo de iniciación deportiva y determinar los objetivos correspondientes al proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje dentro del sistema de clases de cada unidad, período o ciclo para cumplir los propósitos de cada programa durante el curso escolar. De igual manera, se considera necesario hacer una derivación para facilitar la apropiación de conocimientos, habilidades y el desarrollo físico y educativo de los alumnos.

RESUMEN Cartagena de Indias registra la mayor exclusión social entre las principales ciudades colombianas. Este artículo evalúa el nivel de desarrollo humano y los determinantes de la pobreza en la comuna 6, donde predomina la población afro-colombiana. Con el marco analítico de pobreza urbana, capacidades y estructura de oportunidades, y una base ad hoc para estimar un modelo probit como estrategia empírica, se elabora un perfil de pobreza diferenciado para esta extensa zona, con un enfoque espacial. Los resultados muestran que las variables laborales, étnicas -con evidencia concluyente a favor de blancos- y capital social explican las privaciones en esta comuna. JEL: D63; I00; I31; R50.

ABSTRACT Cartagena de Indias has the highest social exclusion among the main cities in Colombia. This paper evaluates human development and the determinants of poverty in the commune 6, where the Afro-Colombian population predominates. Based on the structure of the analytical framework of urban poverty, capabilities and opportunities, and an ad hoc database with probit model as an empirical strategy, we elaborate a differentiated poverty profile for this large area, applying spatial criteria. The results reveal that the labour ethnic variables -with conclusive evidence in favour of white people- and social capital explain the deprivations in this community. JEL: D63; I00; I31; R50.

Este artigo avalia o nível de desenvolvimento humano e os determinantes da pobreza na comuna 6, onde predomina a população afro-colombiana. Com o marco analítico de pobreza urbana, capacidades e estrutura de oportunidades, uma base ad hoc para estimar um modelo probit como estratégia empírica, elabora-se um perfil de pobreza diferenciado para esta extensa zona, com um enfoque espacial.
