Este trabalho teve como objetivo explorar a configuração de sentidos de um aluno portador de necessidades especiais mentais acerca do processo de inclusão escolar. Para tanto, foi participante desta pesquisa um aluno adolescente de 16 anos de idade portador de deficiência mental, matriculado na 7ª série do Ensino Fundamental da Rede Regular. Como recursos para coleta de informações o delineamento de estudo de caso mostrou-se adequado, priorizando-se os sistemas conversacionais firmados com o aluno durante sete meses. As informações obtidas foram elencadas em categorias de indicadores significativos. Pôde ser constatado que uma das maiores barreiras a ser transposta pelo aluno no processo de inclusão escolar diz respeito à organização simbólica da própria instituição escolar, que atrelada aos padrões massificadores do desenvolvimento humano, vem a se estruturar muito mais como uma prática social e compensatória do que formadora ao aluno, ao dimensionar sua diferenciação e não considerar adequadamente sua singularidade.

This article explored the configuration of a student with mental disability's feelings during the process of school inclusion. To achieve this objective, a sixteen-year-old student with mental disability who was enrolled in the seventh grade of a public elementary school participated in this research study. The delineation of the case study was deemed adequate as a resource for collecting information. The main research procedures were conversation sessions with the student undertaken during the seven months of investigation. The information collected was listed by categories of significant indicators. The study showed that one of the greatest barriers to be overcome in this process referred to the symbolic organization of the school, which, along with the generalizing patterns of human development, comes to structure itself much more as a social and compensatory practice than one that fostered the student's preparation. This organization focuses on how different the student is, instead of appreciating his uniqueness.

Este trabalho objetivou explorar as representações, compartilhadas por vinte e cinco profissionais da educação da rede regular de ensino fundamental, acerca da inclusão escolar de alunos com necessidades especiais. Para tanto, priorizaram-se os sistemas conversacionais mantidos na vivência da instituição escolar durante sete meses de desenvolvimento da pesquisa. As análises das informações constataram que os aspectos implícitos da instituição escolar acerca da inclusão escolar estão atrelados a distintas representações: possibilidade de desenvolvimento educacional, espaço de socialização e práticas compensatórias. Pôde-se concluir que, enquanto não forem compreendidos as crenças, os desejos, as frustrações e os afetos dos professores quanto a sua ação profissional, eles não poderão a assumir o papel de educar todo e qualquer aluno e, dessa forma, a instituição escolar continuará reproduzindo o círculo cruel da diferenciação e exclusão dos alunos. Somente seus sentidos singulares direcionarão posturas na construção e desenvolvimento de uma escola inclusiva aos alunos indistintamente.

This article intended to explore some representations shared among twenty-five professionals of education (elementary schools) about the school inclusion of handicapped students. To achieve this goal, it was necessary to focus on a system based on conversation. The work was done through experience inside the school institutions in seven months of research development. The analises of the obtained information established that implicit aspects of schools about the theme are interlaced with different representations: possibility of educational development, place for social meetings and rewarding practices. We can conclude that as long as teacher's beliefs, desires, frustrations and affections to their professional actions are not understood, they will remain in darkness, for they are not able to assure the position of teaching any student; thus, school will certainly be trapped on the cruel circle of selection and exclusion of the handicapped students. Only the teacher's feelings will direct an attitude towards the construction and improvement of a school that can include students without selecting some of them.

O presente trabalho debate a relação da teoria desenvolvida por Sílvia Lane com os autores soviéticos, em particular com Vygotsky e Leontiev. No trabalho se analisam os diferentes momentos do pensamento de Sílvia Lane, especificando suas contribuições para o desenvolvimento de uma psicologia social comprometida com a realidade social brasileira, assim como com a elaboração de categorias e problemas de relevância geral para a psicologia.

The present paper discusses the link between Lane's theory and soviet authors, particularly Vygotsky and Leontiev. In this paper the different moments of Lane's thinking specifying her contributions for the development of a social psycology involved with Brazilian reality as well as the elaboration of categories and problems of general relevance to psychology are analyzed.
