RESUMO Introdução As sociedades atuais e a sua constante evolução e globalização, têm demonstrado um impacto significativo na forma como se estruturam os postos de trabalho ao longo dos anos, nos quais, mais recentemente e com maior tradução mediática, se destaca a possibilidade de praticar teletrabalho, potenciada pela inovação tecnológica. Objetivos Conhecer a literatura mais recentemente publicada acerca do teletrabalho; bem como a sua relação com fatores de risco de origem psicossocial e inferir sobre a necessidade de implementação e aperfeiçoamento de políticas voltadas para promoção da saúde mental em contexto ocupacional, com enfoque na prevenção dos riscos psicossociais. Metodologia Revisão da literatura integrativa com os termos “teleworking”, “remote work”, “telework”, “telecommuting”, “psychosocial risks”, “mental health” e “occupational health”, em português e em inglês. Foram utilizadas como principais bases de dados a Pubmed, UpToDate, Clinical Key, Medscape, World Health Organization, International Labour Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, bem como a Revista Portuguesa de Saúde Ocupacional e a Direção Geral de Saúde. Selecionaram-se os 24 documentos com maior relevância na temática em estudo, publicados entre 2010 e 2023. Discussão As fontes de riscos psicossociais do teletrabalho encontram-se em constante mudança e acompanham as alterações demográficas e da organização. A prática de teletrabalho parece ser uma oferta cada vez mais comum, a sua adoção em larga escala e inesperada devido à COVID-19 e coligada ao enorme avanço dos processos de digitalização, aumentaram as situações de stress tecnológico entre os trabalhadores, com possíveis consequências adversas para a saúde mental. Esta massificação do Teletrabalho, embora com o intuito de proteger os trabalhadores relativamente a um risco biológico aumentou, em diversas situações, o isolamento social, os conflitos trabalho-família e a falta de suporte social, com consequências negativas na saúde mental da população ativa. Conclusão Com o aumento deste tipo de trabalho emerge a necessidade de avaliar os fatores de risco psicossociais que surgem em conformidade, para que estes sejam reconhecidos pelos peritos em saúde ocupacional e intervencionados, assegurando assim que o teletrabalho se torna mais saudável.

ABSTRACT Introduction Our society’s characteristics, with their constant evolution and globalization, have shown a significant impact on the way jobs have been structured over the years, with one of the most highlighted aspects being the possibility of practicing telecommuting. The prevalence of telecommuting and other forms of remote work enabled by technological innovations has increased in recent years. Objectives Exploring the most recently published literature on telecommuting; examining its relationship with psychosocial risk factors and making inferences about the need for the implementation and improvement of policies aimed at promoting mental health in occupational settings, with a focus on preventing psychosocial risks. Methodology Integrative literature review using the terms "teleworking," "remote work," "telework," "telecommuting," "psychosocial risks," "mental health," and "occupational health" in both Portuguese and English. The primary databases used for the research included Pubmed, UpToDate, Clinical Key, Medscape, World Health Organization, International Labour Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Revista Portuguesa de Saúde Ocupacional” and “Direção Geral de Saúde”. A total of 24 documents with the highest relevance to the study’s theme were selected, published between 2010 and 2023. Discussion Psychosocial risks in telecommuting are undergoing constant changes and align with demographic, nature, content and organization. These changes may increase exposure to already recognized psychosocial risks or give rise to new emergent ones. The widespread and unexpected adoption of telecommuting due to COVID-19 with the simultaneous advancement of digitization processes have made telecommuting a more common practice. However, this mass adoption has increased instances of technological stress among workers, potentially leading to adverse consequences for mental health. While the widespread implementation of telecommuting aimed to protect workers from biological risks, it has, in various situations, increased social isolation, work-family conflicts, and a lack of social support, with negative consequences for the mental health of the working population. Conclusion The increasing of telecommuting in our society is leading to assess the psychosocial risk factors that arise with it, so that they are recognized by occupational health experts and intervened upon, thus ensuring that telecommuting becomes healthier.

ABSTRACT Integrated management is considered the best strategy to mitigate the damage caused by plant-parasitic nematodes. However, there is still limited information regarding some integrated techniques. Thus, this study aimed to assess the effects of genetic management associated with chemical control of Meloidogyne javanica in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) The experiment was installed in a greenhouse according to an 8×4 factorial design with eight replicates. The first factor was soybean cultivar (HO Juruena IPRO, resistant; Foco IPRO, HO Maracaí IPRO, and CZ 58B28 IPRO, moderately resistant; HO Mamoré IPRO, moderately susceptible; and Extrema IPRO, CZ 48B32 IPRO, and HO Aporé IPRO, susceptible). The second factor consisted of an untreated control and commercial nematicides based on abamectin, thiodicarb+imidacloprid, and fluopyram. Plants were inoculated with 2000 nematode eggs, and nematode and vegetative variables were evaluated at 65 d after inoculation. There was an interaction effect on nematode variables. Furthermore, there was an additive effect of genetic management and chemical control, mainly in resistant cultivars treated with thiodicarb+imidacloprid or fluopyram with controls of up to 69.90% and 96.86%, respectively. The application of fluopyram and the use of ‘HO Juruena IPRO’, ‘Foco IPRO’, or ‘HO Maracaí IPRO’ also contributed to the control of M. javanica. Vegetative variables were studied by analyzing product effects separately, but results were inconclusive.

ABSTRACT Fog is an atmospheric phenomenon that reduces horizontal visibility to 1000 m or less. These phenomena affect different human activities, mainly those associated with air, maritime, and road transport. Rio Grande city, located in southern Brazil, has one of the main Brazilian ports, and fog occurrences at this location cause several inconveniences, such as the interruption of port activities and increases in operating costs. Thus, a better understanding of fog formation and dissipation, and the consequent improvement in its forecasts, can bring significant help to the port activities in that region. Therefore, this work seeks to evaluate the WRF model’s ability to simulate fog events in Rio Grande city. Four study cases of dense fogs were performed for this goal, as well as a sensitivity test to select the best vertical resolution configuration of the model. Meteorological data from the Rio Grande pilotage station and the Brazilian Coastal Monitoring System buoys were analyzed. Satellite images and synoptic charts were also analyzed for the study cases. The numerical simulations were performed using the WRF model with three nested domains, where 1 km was the highest horizontal resolution. The Fog Stability Index (FSI) and two estimates of horizontal visibility were evaluated. Simulations show promising results, highlighting the ability of the model to identify the fog occurrence in the area of interest and represent aspects of its dissipation process. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the FSI and the evaluated visibility estimates were sensitive to the occurrence of the events.

RESUMEN La niebla es un fenómeno atmosférico que reduce la visibilidad horizontal a 1000 m o menos. Este tipo de fenómenos afecta diferentes actividades, especialmente las asociadas con los transportes aéreo, marítimo y terrestre. La ciudad de Rio Grande, ubicada en el sur de Brasil, posee uno de los principales puertos de Brasil, y la ocurrencia de niebla en este lugar provoca inconvenientes como la interrupción de las actividades portuarias y el aumento de los costos operativos. Así, una mejor comprensión de la formación y disipación de la niebla y la mejora de sus pronósticos pueden ayudar a las actividades portuarias en esta región. Por lo tanto, este trabajo busca evaluar la capacidad del modelo WRF para simular eventos de niebla en Río Grande. Para ello se seleccionaron cuatro estudios de caso de niebla intensa, así como una prueba de sensibilidad para seleccionar la mejor configuración de resolución vertical del modelo. Los datos meteorológicos fueron analizados desde la estación de pilotaje de Río Grande y las boyas del Sistema de Monitoreo Costero Brasileño. También se analizaron imágenes satelitales y gráficos sinópticos. Las simulaciones numéricas se realizaron utilizando el modelo WRF con tres dominios anidados, donde la resolución horizontal más alta fue de 1 km. Se evaluaron el índice de estabilidad de la niebla (FSI, por su sigla en inglés) y otras dos estimaciones de visibilidad horizontal. Las simulaciones arrojaron resultados prometedores, destacando la capacidad del modelo para identificar la ocurrencia de niebla en el área de interés, además de representar aspectos de su proceso de disipación. Además, el FSI y las estimaciones de visibilidad fueran sensibles a los eventos.

Abstract Following the study “School Observatory: Monitoring and Action | Psychological Health and Well-being” (Matos et al., 2022), a questionnaire was applied to 60 voluntary Schools or School Groups, with the aim of understanding their reality, and identifying, anticipating, alerting and recommending short, medium and long term actions. In total, 83 responses were obtained from school directors or deputy directors, health education coordinators, psychologists and other members of the school ecosystem. It was found that the different actors involved converge globally. They considered the importance attributed to psychological health to be greater than the knowledge possessed, the concerns taken and the actions taken, regardless of their role in the school ecosystem. In relation to psychological health and well-being, at one extreme, psychologists are perceived as the agents who attach greater importance, who have more knowledge, who have more concerns and who develop more actions in the area. At the other extreme, students and parents or guardians are perceived as the groups that attach less importance, that have less knowledge, that have fewer concerns and that carry out fewer actions in the area. The need to promote teachers’ training focused on transformative actions is highlighted and recommended the relevance to align action between educational institutions and health services is highlighted, as well as greater coordination between Schools or School Groups (Agrupamentos), in sharing good practices.

Resumo Na sequência do estudo “Observatório Escolar: Monitorização e Ação | Saúde Psicológica e Bem-estar” (Matos et al., 2022), foi aplicado um questionário a 60 Agrupamentos de Escolas/Escolas não Agrupadas que se voluntariaram, com o objetivo de conhecer a sua realidade, e tendo como finalidade identificar, antecipar, alertar e recomendar ações necessárias a curto, médio e longo prazo. No total foram obtidas 83 respostas, por parte dos diretores ou subdiretores escolares, coordenadores de educação para a saúde, psicólogos e outros membros do ecossistema escolar. Constatou-se que os diversos atores envolvidos convergem globalmente. Consideram a importância atribuída à saúde psicológica como superior ao conhecimento, às preocupações e às ações desenvolvidas, independentemente da sua função no ecossistema escolar. Em relação à saúde psicológica e bem-estar, num extremo, os psicólogos são percebidos como os agentes que lhes atribuem maior importância, que possuem mais conhecimentos, que têm mais preocupações e que desenvolvem mais ações na área. Noutro extremo, os alunos e os encarregados de educação são percebidos como os grupos que lhes atribuem menor importância, que possuem menos conhecimentos, que têm menos preocupações e que desenvolvem menos ações na área. Salienta-se a necessidade de se promover formações viradas para a ação transformadora, recomenda-se uma ação concertada entre as instituições de ensino e os serviços de saúde, bem como uma maior articulação entre os Agrupamentos de Escolas e Escolas não agrupadas, na partilha de boas práticas.

ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to evaluate the growth in plant height, stem base diameter, survival rate, and ecophysiology of Acacia mangium and Mimosa caesalpiniifolia plants with and without inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (Rhizophagus clarus) in areas degraded by mining in the municipality of Itaporanga D’Ajuda, SE, Brazil. The experiment was conducted with plants grown with spacing of 3 × 3 m in areas degraded by sand and gravel mining in Itaporanga D’Ajuda, using plants of the species Acacia mangium and Mimosa caesalpiniifolia. Four treatments were used: Acacia mangium without AMF; Mimosa caesalpiniifolia without AMF; Acacia mangium with AMF; Mimosa caesalpiniifolia with AMF. Plants from each treatment were evaluated for plant height, stem base diameter, survival rate and ecophysiological parameters at 12 months after planting. The forest legume Mimosa caesalpiniifolia inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi (Rhizophagus clarus) presented the best results in plant height, survival rate, and photosynthetic efficiency, at twelve months after planting. Plants in the treatment with Acacia mangium without inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi (Rhizophagus clarus) had the largest stem base diameters and second highest plant heights. However, the lowest survival rate of the plants may have caused overestimation of the results of stem base diameter and plant height.

RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o crescimento em altura, diâmetro, a taxa de sobrevivência e a ecofisiologia de Acacia mangium e Mimosa caesalpiniifolia inoculadas com fungos micorrízicos arbusculares (Rhizophagus clarus) e sem inoculação em área degradada de mineração no município de Itaporanga D’Ajuda, SE. O experimento foi implantado no espaçamento de 3x3 m em uma área degradada por mineração de areia e cascalhos no município de Itaporanga D’Ajuda, SE com as espécies Acacia mangium (Acacia) e Mimosa caesalpiniifolia (Sabiá). Foram definidos quatro tratamentos: Acacia mangium sem FMA; Mimosa caesalpiniifolia sem FMA; Acacia mangium com FMA; Mimosa caesalpiniifolia com FMA. As plantas de cada tratamento foram avaliadas quanto à altura da planta, diâmetro da base do caule, taxa de sobrevivência e parâmetros ecofisiológicos aos 12 meses após o plantio, utilizando 5 plantas selecionadas ao acaso por tratamento. Doze meses após o plantio conclui-se: a leguminosa florestal Mimosa caesalpiniifolia inoculada com fungos micorrízicos Rhizophagus clarus apresentou os melhores resultados em altura, taxa de sobrevivência e eficiência fotossintética. A Acacia mangium sem inoculação com fungos micorrízicos Rhizophagus clarus teve o maior diâmetro e a segunda maior altura. Porém a menor taxa de sobrevivência pode ter superestimado os resultados de diâmetro e altura.

ABSTRACT This research aimed to compare the functional autonomy between physically inactive and physically active elderly women. In this study, the sample was divided into one group of inactive elderly women (GI; n= 28, age 67,64± 7,73) and one group of physically active elderly women (GPA; n= 28, age 68,64± 8,40). The functional autonomy was evaluated through the tests of Latin-American Development Group for the Elderly (GDLAM), based on: walking 10 meters (W10m), getting up from a sitting position (SUSP), standing up from a lying position (SULP), stand up from a chair and walk straightaway (SUCWA), dress and undress T-shirt (DUT) and GDLAM Index (GI). In the correlation of the groups, it can be observed that GPA showed better values on tests than GS and the significative difference (p< 0,05) into groups on tests (W10m, SUSP, SULP, SUCWA and GI). It can be inferred that GPA showed a better level of functional autonomy than GI, confirming scientific recommendations about the benefic effects of physical activity on functional capacity.

RESUMO O objetivo do presente estudo foi comparar a autonomia funcional entre idosas sedentárias e idosas fisicamente ativas. Para este estudo qualitativo, a amostra foi dividida em grupo de sedentárias (GS; n= 28, idade 67,64± 7,73) e grupo de idosas fisicamente ativas (GFA; n= 28, idade 68,64± 8,40). A autonomia funcional foi avaliada através dos testes do Grupo de Desenvolvimento Latino-Americano para a Maturidade (GDLAM), composto de: caminhar 10m (C10m), levantar-se da posição sentada (LPS), levantar-se da posição de decúbito ventral (LPDV), levantar-se da cadeira e locomover-se pela casa (LCLC), teste de vestir e tirar uma camiseta (VTC) e o índice GDLAM. Na correlação dos grupos com os testes realizados, pôde-se observar que o GFA apresentou melhores valores nos testes do que o GS e que existiu diferença significativa (p< 0,05) entre os dois grupos nos testes de C10m, LPS, LPDV, LCLC e IG. Pode-se depreender que o GFA apresentou melhor nível de autonomia funcional quando comparado com o GS, corroborando com as recomendações científicas acerca dos efeitos benéficos da atividade física sobre a capacidade funcional.

Currently, in the scientific health research (SHR) field, there is a narrow focus in the pursuit of highly ranked journals with higher impact factors, based on citation models and journal ratings. This limitation often leads to undervalue the relevance of scientific studies by prioritizing citation impact. This limitation is a direct result of the funding needs inherent in the fields of natural sciences and engineering, where investments in equipment and infrastructures are considerably higher compared to other research areas. In the present article, the authors aimed to contribute to SHR by combining Marketing concepts, particularly the Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning model (STP Marketing model), to the development of scientific research projects in the healthcare sector. By applying these concepts in research projects design and researchers career progression, a more comprehensive understanding can be achieved of how individuals or institutes are perceived. Furthermore, the implementation of effective STP Marketing strategies will enable researchers and institutes to gain a competitive advantage in the market by treating articles as products that require strategic positioning in a highly competitive environment. Ultimately, researchers should keep in mind that their ultimate audience is the journals audience they are targeting, as their objective is to publish in a journal that aligns with their specific goals.

ABSTRACT Introduction: In December 2019, COVID-19, disease caused by the new coronavirus- severe acute respiratory syndrome 2, was reported for the first time in China. In Portugal, the first two cases were flagged on 2nd of March 2020. On the 11nd of March, World Health Organization declared the disease as a global pandemic. This study outlines the COVID-19 confirmed cases, contributing for the establishment of more efficient prevention measures. Methods: An observational study including all health professionals from a Central Hospital with a positive case between the 2nd of March 2020 and the 31st of December 2020 was carried out. The data obtained was processed and analyzed using the Microsoft Excel software. Results: 723 professionals were infected and a peak of cases was verified in March and December. The frequency on cases was higher in females (76%) and professionals up to 45 years old. The highest number of cases occurred amongst nurses and the most affected medical departments were internal medicine, emergency, infectious diseases and surgery. The majority of cases were symptomatic at the time of diagnosis. Out of the full sample, five professionals required hospitalization and one of which died. Discussion and conclusions: Accordingly to this study, the frequency of COVID-19 cases amongst health professionals seems to be considerably higher than the general population. The results seem to suggest that the implementation of period testing protocols over health professionals, above all in services with higher risk of infection or/and more vulnerable patients, might be beneficial, whilst contributing for the control of asymptomatic cases and hence breaking potential transmission chains.

RESUMO Introdução: A COVID-19, doença causada pelo novo coronavírus- síndrome respiratória aguda-grave 2, foi identificada pela primeira vez na China, em dezembro de 2019. A doença foi reconhecida pela Organização Mundial de Saúde como pandemia, no dia 11 de março de 2020. Este trabalho caracteriza os casos confirmados num Hospital Central, contribuindo para a criação de medidas de prevenção mais eficientes. Metodologia: Foi realizado um estudo observacional, incluindo todos os profissionais de saúde de um Hospital Central que constituíram casos confirmados para COVID-19, entre o dia 2 de março e 31 de dezembro de 2020. Os dados obtidos foram tratados e analisados com o programa informático Microsoft Excel. Resultados: Contabilizaram-se 723 profissionais infetados. Observou-se um pico de casos no mês de março e outro em dezembro. Os casos foram mais frequentes no género feminino (76%) e em profissionais até aos 45 anos. A categoria de enfermagem foi a mais atingida em termos absolutos e relativos. Os serviços de medicina interna, serviço de urgência, infeciologia e cirurgia registaram o maior número de infeções. A maioria dos casos apresentava-se sintomático à data do diagnóstico. Do total da amostra, cinco profissionais tiveram necessidade de internamento, sendo que um acabou por falecer. Discussão dos resultados e conclusões: A frequência de casos de COVID-19 entre os profissionais de saúde parece ser, com base neste estudo, bastante superior à população em geral. Face aos dados obtidos, poderá existir benefício na implementação de protocolos que incluam testagem periódica dos profissionais de saúde sobretudo em serviços de maior risco de infeção e/ou de maior vulnerabilidade dos doentes, permitindo o controlo dos casos assintomáticos e, desta forma, quebrar possíveis cadeias de transmissão.

Resumen Syagrus schizophylla es una especie de palmera ornamental en peligro de extinción. El objetivo de esta investigación fue estudiar los aspectos fisiológicos del crecimiento y la calidad de las plantas producidas bajo gradientes de luz. Los tratamientos de gradientes de luz fueron: G1 - PAR = 1234.10 μmol fotones m-2 s-1, G2 - PAR = 913.16 μmol fotones m-2 s-1, G3 - PAR = 666.34 μmol fotones m-2 s-1), G4 - PAR = 419,56 μmol fotones m-2 s-1 y G5 - PAR = 534,77 μmol fotones m-2 s-1. Antes de aplicar los tratamientos y a los tres, cinco y siete meses de tratamiento, se analizaron la altura de la planta, diámetro del collar, número de hojas, largo del pecíolo, largo y ancho de la hoja), intercambio gaseso, fluorescencia de la clorofila a y color verde de la hoja. Las tasas fotosintéticas netas más altas se observaron en plantas bajo G2, G3 y G4. Em G2 se observaron valores de Fv/Fm superiores a 0,75. En el séptimo mes, los valores estimados del índice SPAD fueron 36 en plantas bajo G2 y 32 en plantas bajo G1. El mejor crecimiento y desarrollo de las plantas se observó en G2 de acuerdo con DQI que muestra que este gradiente debe usarse para plantas destinadas al campo, mientras que G3 sería mejor para plantas destinadas a entornos sombríos.

Abstract This research studied growth and yield of Syagrus schizophylla, an extinction-endangered ornamental palm, grown under five light gradients. The treatments were: G1 - PAR=1234.10 μmol photons m-2 s-1, G2 - PAR=913.16 μmol photons m-2 s-1, G3 - PAR=666.34 μmol photons m-2 s-1, G4 - PAR=419.56 μmol photons m-2 s-1 and G5 - PAR=534.77 μmol photons m-2s-1. Before the experiment and at three, five and seven months of treatment, growth (plant height, collar diameter, number of leaves, petiole length, leaf length and width), gas exchange, chlorophyll a, and leaf green color intensity were assessed. The highest net photosynthetic rates were observed in plants under G2, G3 and G4. Values of maximum quantum efficiency (F v /F m ) over 0.75 were observed under G2. At seven months, estimated SPAD values were 36 in G2 plants and 32 in G1 plants. According to the Dickson quality index (DQI), presented the highest growth and development rates. We conclude that G2 suits plants to be transplanted into the field, whereas G3 would be best for plants grown under shade environments.

Abstract Introduction: Congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is the main cause of sensorineural deafness in children. In Portugal, routine screening of the infection during pregnancy is not performed. It is acknowledged that late sequelae may occur in children with congenital infections, even when they are asymptomatic at birth. The aim of this study was to investigate early and late sequelae in children of mothers with positive CMV immunoglobulin (Ig) M and IgG during pregnancy. Materials and Methods: Patients: Children born to mothers with positive CMV IgM and IgG during pregnancy at a Portuguese tertiary hospital between August 2006 and August 2020. Demographic, clinical, and laboratory variables and early and late sequelae were retrospectively assessed. Late sequelae included delayed psychomotor development, sensorineural deafness, and vision changes. Results: In the last 14 years, 31 newborns were born to mothers with positive IgM and IgG during pregnancy in the considered hospital (0.08% of the total number of births). CMV infection was confirmed in six of these children (19.4%), of whom one was symptomatic at birth, with multiorgan involvement, and died at the age of four months. Late sequelae were observed in one patient, specifically learning disabilities and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. No cases of ophthalmological or otorhinolaryngological alterations were identified. Discussion: Although congenital CMV infection is a potentially fatal condition, only one death was reported in the present study sample. Late sequelae were also only observed in one case, which was asymptomatic at birth. Conclusion: These results suggest that the indications for CMV screening during the neonatal period should be reassessed. This is particularly important in asymptomatic newborns, as a way to implement early treatment and prevent late sequelae.

Resumo Introdução: A infeção congénita por citomegalovírus (CMV) é a principal causa de surdez neurossensorial na infância. Em Portugal, o rastreio na grávida não é realizado por rotina. Sabe-se que podem ocorrer sequelas tardias em crianças com infeção congénita, mesmo quando são assintomáticas ao nascimento. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a ocorrência de sequelas precoces e tardias em crianças com mães com imunoglobulina (Ig)M e IgG positiva para CMV durante a gravidez. Materiais e Métodos: Participantes: Crianças nascidas de mães com IgM e IgG positiva para CMV durante a gestação num hospital terciário português entre agosto de 2006 e agosto de 2020. Foram retrospetivamente avaliadas variáveis demográficas, clínicas e laboratoriais, bem como sequelas precoces e tardias. Foram consideradas sequelas tardias atraso no desenvolvimento psicomotor, surdez neurossensorial e alterações da visão. Resultados: Nos últimos 14 anos, foram identificados no hospital considerado 31 casos de recém-nascidos de mães com IgM e IgG positiva para CMV na gravidez (0,08% do número total de nascimentos). Entre estes, foram confirmados seis casos (19,4%) de infeção por CMV, um dos quais sintomático ao nascimento, com envolvimento de múltiplos órgãos, e óbito aos quatro meses. Foram observadas sequelas tardias num único caso, concretamente perturbação do desenvolvimento intelectual e perturbação de hiperatividade e défice de atenção. Não foram identificados casos de alterações oftalmológicas ou otorrinolaringológicas. Discussão: Embora a infeção congénita por CMV seja uma condição potencialmente fatal, apenas um óbito foi registado no presente estudo. Foi também observado um único caso de sequelas tardias num recém-nascido assintomático ao nascimento. Conclusão: Estes resultados sugerem que pode ser necessário reavaliar as indicações para rastreio de CMV no período neonatal. Esse rastreio pode ser particularmente relevante em recém-nascidos assintomáticos, para prevenção de sequelas tardias através da instituição de tratamento precoce.

Abstract The objective of this study was to find out if the revenue, received based on the SUS Table, is sufficient to cover the costs incurred, except for direct labor, in carrying out the Ergometric Test exam at the Onofre Lopes University Hospital (HUOL). In methodological terms, it is a case study, descriptive and with a qualitative approach. Informal interviews were carried out with the managers and employees of the service, and with those responsible for the operational and administrative support services. The results show that the unit cost calculated for carrying out the Ergometric Test at HUOL during 2018 was R$ 16.46 and that, compared to the transfer from SUS, there is a financial surplus in the amount of R$ 13, 54 per exam. During the research, it became evident that the cost management information controls in the institution are precarious, being done using several different systems. Finally, the study opened the discussion about the feasibility of providing health services and the possibility of sustainability and financial independence of the management company – Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares – in relation to the subsidies received from the Union. Resumo O objetivo deste estudo foi descobrir se a receita, recebida com base na Tabela SUS, é suficiente para cobrir os custos incorridos, com exceção da mão-de-obra direta, na realização do exame de Teste Ergométrico no Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes (HUOL). Em termos metodológicos, trata-se de um estudo de caso, descritivo e de abordagem qualitativa. Foram realizadas entrevistas informais com os gestores e colaboradores do serviço, e com responsáveis pelos serviços de apoio operacional e administrativo. Os resultados apontam que o custo unitário apurado para a realização do Teste Ergométrico no HUOL durante o ano de 2018 foi de R$ 16,46 e que, em comparação com o repasse do SUS, há um superávit financeiro no valor de R$ 13,54 por exame. Durante a pesquisa, ficou evidente que os controles de informações gerenciais de custos na instituição são precários, sendo feitos através do uso de vários sistemas diferentes. Por fim, o estudo abriu a discussão acerca da viabilidade da prestação dos serviços de saúde e da possibilidade de sustentabilidade e independência financeira da empresa gestora – Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares – em relação às subvenções recebidas da União. Resumen El objetivo de este estudio fue averiguar si los ingresos, recibidos con base en la Tabla SUS, son suficientes para cubrir los costos incurridos, con excepción de la mano de obra directa, en la realización del examen de Prueba Ergométrica en el Hospital Universitario Onofre Lopes (HUOL). En términos metodológicos, se trata de un estudio de caso, descriptivo y con enfoque cualitativo. Se realizaron entrevistas informales con los gerentes y empleados del servicio, y con los responsables de los servicios de apoyo operativo y administrativo. Los resultados muestran que el costo unitario calculado para la realización de la Prueba Ergométrica en el HUOL durante 2018 fue de R$ 16,46 y que, frente a la transferencia del SUS, hay un superávit financiero de R$ 13,54 por examen. Durante la investigación se evidenció que los controles de información de gestión de costos en la institución son precarios, realizándose mediante el uso de varios sistemas diferentes. Finalmente, el estudio abrió la discusión sobre la factibilidad de prestación de servicios de salud y la posibilidad de sostenibilidad e independencia financiera de la empresa gestora —Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares— en relación con los subsidios recibidos de la Unión. Résumé L'objectif de cette étude était de savoir si le revenu, perçu sur la base du tableau SUS, est suffisant pour couvrir les coûts encourus, à l'exception de la main-d'œuvre directe, pour la réalisation de l'examen du test ergométrique à l'hôpital universitaire Onofre Lopes (HOOL). Sur le plan méthodologique, il s'agit d'une étude de cas, descriptive et avec une approche qualitative. Des entrevues informelles ont été menées auprès des gestionnaires et des employés du service, ainsi qu'auprès des responsables des services de soutien opérationnel et administratif. Les résultats montrent que le coût unitaire calculé pour effectuer le test ergométrique à HUOL en 2018 était de 16,46 R$ et que, par rapport au transfert SUS, il y a un excédent financier de 13,54 R$ par examen. Au cours de l'enquête, il a été démontré que les contrôles de l'information sur la gestion des coûts dans l'établissement sont précaires, étant effectués au moyen de plusieurs systèmes différents. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os parâmetros do solo e as características dendrométricas de um Eucalyptus grandis com 30 meses de idade. plantio em área de encosta no município de Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brasil. Quatro unidades amostrais foram alocadas aleatoriamente em quatro níveis altitudinais: topo (145 m), 30 m (132 m), 20 m (122 m) e base (105 m). O diâmetro à altura do peito (DAP) e a altura de todas as árvores foram medidos em cada unidade amostral. As amostras de solo foram coletadas para determinar os seguintes parâmetros: argila, matéria orgânica, saturação por bases (V), capacidade de troca catiônica (CTC), pH em água, ácido potencial (H+Al), alumínio (Al), fósforo (P), potássio (K), cálcio (Ca), magnésio (Mg) e sódio (Na).A análise estatística indicou que a posição no relevo influenciou apenas CTC, pH, H+Al, K e Na. As maiores médias de CTC (44,88 cmol c dm 3 ) e H+Al (44,97 cmol c dm 3 ) foram observadas no topo. Em contraste, os maiores valores de pH (4,17), K (41,25 mg kg -1 ) e Na (14,75 mg kg -1 ) foram observados na base. Com relação aos parâmetros dendrométricos, apenas a densidade de indivíduos e o diâmetro à do peito foram influenciados pela posição no relevo. A maior densidade foi encontrada na base (2.250 indivíduos), onde foram observados indivíduos com diâmetros menores.Em contraste, os maiores valores de DAP foram observados na profundidade de 30 m (11,36 cm). Os solos neste estudo eram sensíveis e distróficos. Portanto, pequenas variações não têm relevo condicionam a variabilidade dos atributos do solo e o crescimento de E. grandis aos 30 meses de idade.

ABSTRACT The insertion of the tree component in coffee production is a strategy from an economic and environmental perspective. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the temporal influence on the agronomic and productive performance of the coffee crop under the interference of different tree species as a function of spacing. The experiment was set in the municipality of Santo Antônio de Amparo-MG, in 2012, and conducted in a randomized block design with four replications. The treatments were: cultivar ‘Catuai Vermelho IAC 99’ in monoculture (3.40 m x 0.65 m) and intercropped with African mahogany, teak and pink cedar, in two spacings (9 x 13.6 m and 18 x 13.6 m), in coffee rows. Three coffee rows were fixed between rows, totaling 13.6 m. The following variables were evaluated: height (m), stem diameter (cm), crown diameter (m), productivity (bags ha-1) and yield (l/sc) for coffee. From the evaluations, there is a significant effect of height, productivity and yield for the coffee crop. The system intercropped with tree species did not influence coffee productivity and yield until the 3rd harvest and, for the 5th harvest, intercropping with mahogany favored productivity, although the accumulated productivity did not show any treatment effect.

RESUMO: O objetivo do presente estudo foi caracterizar (fenotipicamente e genotipicamente) duas cepas de Brucella abortus identificadas como pertencentes ao biovar 4 isolada de bovinos no Brasil. As cepas foram isoladas de bursite cervical de bovinos dos estados do Pará e Rio Grande do Sul, respectivamente. Na identificação fenotípica, os isolados foram positivos na exigência de CO2, produziram H2S, foram resistentes à fucsina básica (20 µg / mL) e sensíveis à tionina (20 µg / mL e 40 µg / mL) e apresentaram antígeno de superfície M, mas o antígeno de superfície A foi ausente. Os isolados foram positivos na PCR para o gene bcsp31 (gênero específico) e na PCR - AMOS, ambos os isolados apresentaram perfil de banda consistente com B. abortus biovar 1, 2 ou 4. Além disso, ambos os isolados também apresentaram padrões de restrição idêntica à cepa de referência quando testada pelo omp2b PCR-RFLP. Na genotipagem usando Multiple Locus Variable Number of Tandem Repeat (VNTR) - MLVA (MLVA16), os isolados apresentaram diferenças em vários loci (Bruce42, Bruce19, Bruce04, Bruce16 e Bruce30); no Multiple Locus Sequence Typing (MLST), os isolados também exibiram diferenças na sequência tipo (ST), amostra 16/02 ST1 (2-1-1-2-1-3-1-1-1) e amostra 128/11 ST (22-1-1-8-9-3-1-1-1). A extensa tipagem de cepas de B. abortus isoladas de bovinos no Brasil por diferentes abordagens confirmou a rara ocorrência de B. abortus biovar 4 no país.

ABSTRACT: The aim of the present study was to characterize (phenotypically and genotypically) two strains of Brucella abortus identified as belonging to biovar 4 isolated from cattle in Brazil. The strains were isolated from cervical bursitis from cattle in the states of Pará and Rio Grande do Sul, respectively. In the phenotypic identification, the isolates were positive in CO2 requirement, produced H2S, were resistant to basic fuchsin (20 µg / mL) and sensitive to thionin (20 µg / mL and 40 µg / mL) and presented M surface antigen, but A surface antigen is absent. The isolates were positive in the PCR for the bcsp31 gene (genus-specific) and in the AMOS-enhanced PCR, both isolates showed a band profile consistent with B. abortus biovar 1, 2 or 4. Moreover, both isolates also showed restriction patterns identical to the reference strain when tested by the omp2b PCR-RFLP. In genotyping using Multiple Locus Variable Number of Tandem Repeat (VNTR) Analysis - MLVA (MLVA16), the isolates showed differences in several loci (Bruce42, Bruce19, Bruce04, Bruce16 and Bruce30); by Multiple Locus Sequence Typing (MLST), they also exhibited differences in sequence type (ST), strain 16/02 ST1 (2-1-1-2-1-3-1-1-1) and strain 128/11 ST (22-1-1 -8-9-3-1-1-1). The extensive typing of B. abortus strains isolated from cattle in Brazil using different approaches confirmed the occurrence of rare B. abortus biovar 4 in the country.

RESUMO: Varronia curassavica DC. é uma espécie medicinal nativa do Brasil. Dentre os pontos críticos que influenciam a qualidade fitoquímica dos compostos bioativos destacam-se o espaçamento entre plantas, a colheita e a pós-colheita. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a influência do espaçamento entre plantas, da época de colheita e da temperatura de secagem das folhas na produtividade e na qualidade fitoquímica do óleo essencial de V. curassavica. O cultivo orgânico foi realizado em 2018/2019 utilizando-se os seguintes espaçamentos entre plantas: 0.6 x 1.0; 0.8 x 1.0; 1.0 x 1.0; 1.0 x 1.6 m. Os teores de macro e micronutrientes das folhas foram avaliados e não se observou alterações consideráveis. Em 2018, as colheitas foram realizadas no verão, outono e inverno, sendo as folhas colhidas imediatamente submetidas ao processo de secagem a 40 °C. Em 2019, a colheita foi realizada no inverno, sendo as folhas submetidas ao processo de secagem a 40, 50 e 60 °C. O óleo essencial foi extraído por hidrodestilação e os constituintes químicos identificados CG-MS. A produção de óleo essencial foi significativamente maior no inverno e nos espaçamentos de 0,8 x 1,0 m e 1,0 x 1,0 m entre plantas. O teor de alfa-humuleno manteve-se dentro dos padrões recomendados em todas as temperaturas analisadas. Embora as temperaturas de secagem testadas não tenham comprometido o teor de alfa-humuleno, o aumento da temperatura ocasionou redução no rendimento do óleo essencial. Assim, recomenda-se o cultivo orgânico de V. currassavica no espaçamento entre 0,8 x 1,0 m e 1,0 m x 1,0 m, e a secagem de suas folhas entre 40 e 50 °C visando obter o maior rendimento e melhor qualidade fitoquímica de óleo essencial.

ABSTRACT: Varroniacurassavica is a Brazilian native medicinal species. Among the critical points influencing the phytochemical quality of bioactive compounds is the spacing between plants, harvest and post-harvest. This research aimed evaluated the influence of plant distance, harvest season, and leaves drying temperature on the yield and phytochemical quality of V. curassavica essential oil. The organic cultivation was carried out in 2018/2019 using 0.6 x 1.0; 0.8 x 1.0; 1.0 x 1.0; 1.0 x 1.6 m spacing between plants. The macro and micronutrient contents of the leaves were evaluated and no considerable changes were observed. In 2018 the harvest was performed in summer, autumn, and winter, and the harvested leaves were immediately submitted to the drying process at 40 °C. In 2019 the harvest was performed in winter, and the leaves were submitted to the drying process at 40, 50, and 60 °C. The essential oil was extracted by hydrodistillation and the chemical constituents were evaluated using CG-MS. The essential oil yield was significantly higher in winter and used 0.8 x 1.0 m and 1.0 x 1.0 m spacing between plants. The alpha-humulene content remained within the recommended standards at all analyzed temperatures. Although, the drying temperatures tested did not compromise the alpha-humulene content, the increasing temperature caused a reduction in the essential oil yield. Thus, it is recommended for the organic cultivation of V. currassavica the spacing of 0.8 x 1.0 m and 1.0 m x 1.0 m, and the drying of its leaves between 40 and 50 °C to earn the highest essential oil yield and phytochemical quality.
