Abstract Aiming to understand the multiple versions of reality produced in the daily practices of a child’s relational network to which externalizing behavior problems refer, in the field of mental health, this article reports a case study, carried out in 2017, based on the approaches of the Actor-Network and Discursive Practices and Production of Meanings in Everyday Life. The empirical referent of the research is a boy with a diagnostic hypothesis of ADHD and ODD, articulated with human and non-human actants in different dimensions of their relationships. The results expose everyday interactions, crossed by intergenerational conflicts, producing heterogeneous realities and meanings, in the transit between apparently antagonistic ideas (angelic-diabolical/child-adult). Children, with ir different behaviors, just like adults, acts and are acted upon in power relations, in a fluid co-production of conflicts and understandings that express always uncertain and localized versions of what would be “the child with externalizing behaviors”.

Resumen Con el objetivo de comprender las múltiples versiones de la realidad que se producen en las prácticas cotidianas de la red relacional de un niño a la que se refieren los problemas de comportamiento externalizante, en el campo de la salud mental, este artículo relata un estudio de caso, realizado en 2017, a partir de los enfoques de la Teoría Actor-Red y Prácticas Discursivas y Producción de Sentidos en la Vida Cotidiana. El referente empírico de la investigación es un niño con hipótesis diagnóstica de TDAH y TND, articulado con actantes humanos y no humanos en diferentes dimensiones de sus relaciones. Los resultados exponen las interacciones cotidianas, atravesadas por conflictos intergeneracionales, produciendo realidades y significados heterogéneos, en el tránsito entre ideas aparentemente antagónicas (angelical-diabólica/niño-adulto). Los niños, con sus diferentes conductas, al igual que los adultos, actúan y son actuados en relaciones de poder, en una fluida coproducción de conflictos y entendimientos que expresan versiones siempre inciertas y localizadas de lo que sería “el niño con conductas externalizantes”.

Resumo Visando compreender as múltiplas versões de realidade produzidas nas práticas cotidianas da rede relacional de uma criança à qual se referem problemas de comportamentos externalizantes, no campo da saúde mental, este artigo relata um estudo de caso, realizado em 2017, a partir das abordagens da Teoria Ator-Rede e das Práticas Discursivas e Produção de Sentidos no Cotidiano. O referente empírico da pesquisa é um menino com hipótese diagnóstica de TDAH e TOD, articulado com actantes humanos e não humanos em dimensões diversas de suas relações. Os resultados expõem as interatuações cotidianas, atravessadas por conflitos intergeracionais, produzindo realidades e sentidos heterogêneos, no trânsito entre ideias aparentemente antagônicas (angelical-diabólico/criança-adulto). A criança, com seus comportamentos diversos, tal qual os adultos, atua e é atuada em relações de poder, numa coprodução fluida de conflitos e entendimentos que expressam versões sempre incertas e localizadas do que seria “a criança com comportamentos externalizantes”.

Abstract Evaluate of cashew nut shell liquid (alginate-CNSL) on TBARS, physicochemical attributes and microbial growing of beef steak was investigated. Three edible coating treatments were prepared: (1) control (uncoating); (2) sodium alginate coating (no additive); and (3) active coatings of sodium alginate added cashew nut shell liquid (alginate-CNSL) at 1% into. Color indexes and water holding capacity were not affected by coating treatments. The pH of the beef samples from the control treatment increased at storage time, and the beef involved with alginate-CNSL coating maintained a pH stable. Alginate-CNSL coating promoted cooking loss lower after 3rd day of storage. Alginate-CNSL coating promoted a lower shear force decrease compared at control and sodium alginate coating. Alginate-CNSL coating reduced lipid oxidation (TBARS) and microbial growing (mesophiles and psychrophiles counts) in beef compared others treatments. Active coating from CNSL (1%) improved the beef preservation, reducing lipid oxidation and microbial growing, until the 6th day of storage stability.

Resumen: El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar y comparar las representaciones sociales elaboradas por estudiantes de la enseñanza media y universitarios frente a la obesidad. Participaron del estudio 200 estudiantes de educación secundaria de escuelas públicas y privadas y 200 universitarios de universidad de João Pessoa, Brasil. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron: cuestionario sociodemográfico analizado a través de estadísticas descriptivas realizadas en el software SPSS y Técnica de Asociación Libre de Palabras con el estímulo "obesidad", analizado por medio de análisis prototípico en el software Iramuteq. El análisis reveló elementos comunes en los núcleos centrales de esas representaciones que evidencian una concepción unifactorial en relación a las causas de la obesidad, asociándola principalmente con la mala alimentación, sin considerar consistentemente los aspectos psicosociales relacionados, lo que puede llevar a culpabilización y al prejuicio. Se espera con este estudio estimular intervenciones que puedan esclarecer sobre la multifactorialidad del fenómeno y disminuir el prejuicio existente.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to analyze and compare the social representations elaborated by high school and university students about obesity. The study enrolled 200 high school students from public and private schools and 200 university students from João Pessoa, Brazil. The instruments used were a sociodemographic questionnaire analyzed through descriptive statistics performed at SPSS software and a Free Word Association Test with “obesity” as the stimulus, analyzed through prototypic analysis at Iramuteq software. The analysis revealed common elements of the central core of these representations that shows an unifactorial conception regarding the causes of obesity, relating it mainly to poor nutrition and without considering the psychosocial aspects related to the phenomenon, which can lead to blame and prejudice. This study means to stimulate interventions that present accurate information about obesity, to clarify its multifactoriality and to reduce prejudice toward obese people.

Resumo Os comportamentos externalizantes dizem de um conjunto de reações impulsivas que, exteriorizadas por crianças (ou adolescentes), produzem conflitos e, em padrão repetitivo e persistente, são associados a síndromes psicopatológicas e transtornos. Este artigo tem o objetivo de revisão de literatura sobre o tema, nos três eixos disciplinares da Saúde Coletiva. Segue o método de revisão sistemática, com enfoque empírico e formato narrativo, tomando a ciência como prática social e levantando aspectos qualitativos de literatura produzida entre 2009 e 2019. Os conhecimentos produzidos trazem recortes importantes sobre o tema, porém, o panorama alcançado revela um distanciamento discursivo entre os eixos da epidemiologia e das ciências sociais em saúde, aproximados precariamente no eixo da política, planejamento e gestão em saúde. Os modos de considerar a criança nas pesquisas se dão com o silenciamento infantil, priorizando percepções dos adultos sobre as crianças. Chega-se a considerações sobre a importância de uma efetiva interdisciplinaridade e de uma pedagogia da transdisciplinaridade capaz de transcender o lugar das especialidades e de reconhecer a criança, com a valorização das suas práticas e saberes, como ator central do conhecimento acerca de si mesma.

Abstract The externalizing behaviors refer to a set of impulsive reactions that exteriorized by children (or adolescents) produce conflicts and, in a repetitive and persistent pattern, are associated with psychopathological syndromes and disorders. This article has the objective of empirical review on the subject, in three disciplinary axes of Public Health. It follows the systematic review method, with an empirical focus and narrative format, taking science as social practice and raising qualitative aspects of literature produced between 2009 and 2019. The knowledge produced brings important cuts on the subject, however, the panorama reached reveals a discursive distance between the axes of epidemiology and of the social science, precariously approximated in the axis of health planning. The ways of considering the child in the research are with child silencing, prioritizing adults' perceptions about children. We come to considerations about the importance of effective interdisciplinarity and a pedagogy of transdisciplinarity capable of transcending the place of specialties and of recognizing the child, with the appreciation of his practices and knowledge, as the central actor of knowledge about himself.

RESUMO O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a influência do óleo essencial de alho (OEA) sobre o desempenho produtivo e as variáveis morfométricas de pós-larvas de acará severo (Heros severus). Foi realizado ensaio de crescimento com 150 pós-larvas severas (1,6 ± 0,03 mg e 5,58 ± 0,1 mm), distribuídas em quinze aquários de 1 L, com aeração constante. Os peixes foram distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado com cinco tratamentos, dietas contendo diferentes níveis de OEA (0,00; 0,05; 0,50; 1,00 e 1,50 g kg-1) e três repetições. As dietas foram oferecidas quatro vezes ao dia, até saciedade aparente, por 30 dias. Ao final do experimento, os peixes foram contados, pesados e medidos, para avaliação do desempenho produtivo e das variáveis morfométricas. O aumento dos níveis de OEA na dieta resultou em redução linear nos parâmetros de desempenho produtivo, com exceção da taxa de sobrevivência e uniformidade de peso e comprimento do lote, que não apresentaram diferenças significativas, assim como as variáveis morfométricas. Concentrações elevadas de OEA na dieta podem ser prejudiciais para larvas e pós-larvas de peixes, que podem ser mais sensíveis ao dano potencial que altas concentrações deste óleo essencial podem causar. Portanto, a inclusão de OEA em níveis acima de 0,05 g kg-1 em dietas para pós-larvas de acará severo não é recomendada.

ABSTRACT The present study aimed to evaluate the influence of garlic essential oil (GEO) on the growth performance and morphometric variables of severum (Heros severus) post-larvae. A growth trial was performed using 150 severum post-larvae (1.6 ± 0.03 mg and 5.58 ± 0.1 mm), distributed in fifteen 1-L aquaria, with constant aeration. The fish were essayed in a completely randomized design with five treatments, using diets containing graded levels of GEO (0.00, 0.05, 0.50, 1.00 and 1.50 g kg-1) and three replicates. The diets were offered four times a day, until apparent satiation, for 30 days. At the end of the experiment, the fish were counted, weighed and measured, to evaluate growth performance and morphometric variables. Increased diet levels of GEO resulted in a linear reduction in growth performance parameters, except for the survival rate, weight and length uniformity of the batch, and morphometric variables which did not present significant differences. Elevated concentrations of dietary GEO may be detrimental to larvae and post-larvae of fish, which could be more sensitive to the potential damage that high concentrations of this essential oil may cause. Therefore, the inclusion of GEO in levels above 0.05 g kg-1 in diets for severum post-larvae is not recommended.

RESUMO Os estudos sobre a formação docente nos cursos de licenciatura têm sido objeto de estudo no campo da educação. A defesa do professor intelectual, crítico e reflexivo nem sempre tem considerado a contribuição da Filosofia na elaboração dos seus princípios. O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a compreensão dos alunos acerca do Estágio no decorrer do curso de licenciatura. Optou-se, metodologicamente, pela abordagem qualitativa, a revisão bibliográfica, a pesquisa de campo e a análise de conteúdo. A pesquisa de campo consultou dez estudantes de Licenciatura em Filosofia da turma de Prática de Ensino da Universidade Estadual do Ceará. O embasamento teórico para as análises dos dados ancorou-se nos estudos de Gallo (2007), Ghedin (2009), Severino (1994), Lima (2012), Pimenta e Lima (2004), dentre outros. Os resultados da pesquisa revelaram que o Estágio é um dos momentos mais significativos do curso universitário, pois possibilita ao aluno a vivência, na prática, dos ensinamentos teóricos e o contato com a realidade da profissão docente. Cada graduando tem um conceito e um significado para tal vivência, que influenciará, como passo inicial no exercício do magistério e na construção de sua identidade professoral.

ABSTRACT Studies about teacher education in degree courses have been studied in the field of education. The teacher’s defense intellectual, critical and reflective not always have considered the contribution of Philosophy in preparing its principles. The objective of this research is to analyze the students’ understanding about the stage during the degree course.We opted for a qualitative approach methodologically, the literature review, field research and content analysis. The fieldwork consisted of ten students of Degree in Philosophy class of Teaching Practice at the State University of Ceará. The theoretical basis for analysis of the data was anchored in studies of Gallo (2007), Ghedin (2009), Severino (1994), Lima (2012), Pimenta and Lima (2004), among others .The survey results revealed that Stage is one of the most significant moments of the university, since it allows the student to experience, in practice the theoretical knowledge and contact with the reality of the teaching profession. Each graduate has a concept and a meaning to this experience, which will influence the practice of teaching and building your identity professorial

Resumo O objetivo do presente estudo foi desenvolver e validar uma equação de predição para avaliação da composição corporal utilizando-se medidas antropométricas de idosas. Este é um estudo transversal e correlacional com 243 idosas ± 64.5 anos de idade e índice de massa corporal (IMC) ± 28.70 kg/m². Para o desenvolvimento da equação utilizou-se o método de validação hold-out. As participantes foram divididas aleatoriamente em um grupo para desenvolvimento da equação (96 idosas) e um grupo para validação da equação (147 idosas). Massa corporal total, estatura, circunferências da cintura e quadril, relação cintura-quadril e IMC foram mensurados. A absorciometria por raios-X com dupla energia (DXA) para todo corpo foi utilizada para avaliação da composição corporal (percentual de gordura, massa gorda e massa livre de gordura). As equações foram desenvolvidas utilizando a regressão linear múltipla, com validação pelo método stepwise; a comparação das equações foi realizada pelo Teste T para amostras pareadas e análise dos escores residuais por meio do método de Bland e Waltman. A Nova Equação apresentou uma forte correlação (R = 0.83) e (R2 = 0.69), e uma estimativa de erro padrão de 3.21% para predição do percentual de gordura. A diferença média entre as estimativas de percentual de gordura pelo DXA e Nova Equação foi de 0.11% (t(0,180); P = 0.850). Assim, a Nova Equação teve uma precisão de 93.5% e um erro total de 1.8%. A estimativa do percentual de gordura em idosas usando a Nova Equação baseada no IMC e idade são válidos e precisos.

Abstract The purpose of this present study was to develop and validate a prediction equation for body composition assessment using anthropometric measures of elderly women. This is cross-sectional correlational study with 243 older women ± 64.5 years old and body mass index (BMI) ± 28.70 kg/m². For the development of the equation it was utilized the method of hold-out sample validation. The participants were randomly divided into equation development group (96 elderly women) and a group for validation (147 elderly women). Total body mass, height, waist and hip circumferences, ratio waist-hip ratio and BMI were measured. The whole-body dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) assessed body composition (percentage of body fat, fat mass, and fat-free mass). The equations were developed using multiple linear regression, with validation by the stepwise method; the comparison of the equations was analyzed by the paired Student's t test and the analysis of residual scores by the method of Blant and Altman. The New Equation presents a strong correlation (R = 0.83) and (R² = 0.69), and a standard error of estimation equals to 3.21% for percentage body fat prediction. The mean difference between the estimations of percentage body fat from DXA and the New Equation was 0.11% (t(0,180); P = 0.850). Therefore, the New Equation had an accuracy of 93.5% and a total error of 1.8%. The body fat estimation in older women using this New Equation based on BMI and age is valid and accurate.

RESUMO As doenças do fígado e das vias biliares são causas comuns de morbidade e mortalidade. Procedimentos invasivos com finalidade diagnóstica e terapêutica são frequentemente recomendados nos casos de doenças hepatobiliares. O reconhecimento das indicações e limitações das técnicas comumente empregadas é crucial para uma adequada seleção dos pacientes, maximizando os resultados positivos e reduzindo o risco de complicações. Em 2018, a Sociedade Brasileira de Hepatologia (SBH), em colaboração com a Sociedade Brasileira de Radiologia Intervencionista e Cirurgia Endovascular (SOBRICE) e a Sociedade Brasileira de Endoscopia Digestiva (SOBED) realizaram um encontro exclusivamente voltado para a discussão dos procedimentos invasivos nas doenças hepatobiliares. Este texto resume as principais recomendações discutidas durante o evento, e tem a intenção de auxiliar clínicos, gastroenterologistas, hepatologistas, radiologistas e endoscopistas no uso adequado dos procedimentos invasivos para manejo de pacientes com doenças hepatobiliares.

ABSTRACT Liver and biliary tract diseases are common causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Invasive procedures are usually performed in those patients with hepatobiliary diseases for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Defining proper indications and restraints of commonly used techniques is crucial for proper patient selection, maximizing positive results and limiting complications. In 2018, the Brazilian Society of Hepatology (SBH) in cooperation with the Brazilian Society of Interventional Radiology and Endovascular surgery (SOBRICE) and the Brazilian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SOBED) sponsored a joint single-topic meeting on invasive procedures in patients with hepatobiliary diseases. This paper summarizes the proceedings of the aforementioned meeting. It is intended to guide clinicians, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, radiologists, and endoscopists for the proper use of invasive procedures for management of patients with hepatobiliary diseases.

ABSTRACT For at least 30 years researchers have called for a deeper reflection on the paths we desire for ethnobotanical research. Although the discipline of ethnobotany is growing, as measured by the number of publications in the area, there is still work to be done regarding the homogeneity of theoretical and methodological approaches and the implications of ethnobotanical research findings for society as a whole. In this article we present 10 questions/issues that we believe can guide the research and actions of ethnobotanists for the coming years.

Resumo Introdução A memória coletiva representa um bem simbólico. A enfermagem firma-se gradativamente no campo da saúde, na luta por seus direitos, na qualificação profissional e técnica em todos os campos de trabalho e no desenvolvimento científico. A modificação quanto à execução de sua profissão direciona a transformações no campo da sua imagem, sobretudo com a evolução das práticas e estudos em seu campo de saber. Objetivo Apresentar as percepções das enfermeiras sobre a construção da imagem da enfermeira cearense diante das modificações no cenário histórico da enfermagem. Método Trata-se de uma pesquisa com base no método da História Oral. Participaram do estudo três enfermeiras docentes do corpo efetivo de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior Pública do estado do Ceará, com tempo superior há 30 anos de docência, as quais integram o curso de graduação em enfermagem mais antigo do estado. Resultados Identificaram-se percepções conflitantes sobre a construção da imagem profissional no Ceará. A enfermeira é vista positivamente, destacando-se como cuidadora e autônoma. Por outro aspecto, é identificada com a imagem de uma enfermeira alienada. Conclusão Permitiu-se conhecer as percepções sobre a construção da imagem da enfermeira no Ceará, a partir das experiências históricas das docentes entrevistadas que influenciaram nesse processo.

Abstract Background The collective memory represents a symbolic asset, nursing is gradually established in the health area, in the fight for their rights, in professional and technical qualification in all fields of work and scientific development. The modification in howits profession is carried out directs the transformations in its field image, especially with the evolution of practice and study in itsknowledge field. Objective To show the perceptions of nurses on the construction of the image of a nurse from Ceará, Brazilbefore the modifications in the historic setting of nursing. Method It is a research based on the method of Oral History. Three teaching nurses from the effective body of a Public Higher Education Institution of the state of Ceará participated in the study, with more than 30 years of teaching, which they integrate the oldest nursing degree course in the state. Results conflicting perceptions about the construction of the professional image in Ceará were identified. The nurse is seen positively, standing out as a caregiver and autonomous. For another aspect, it is identified with the image of an alienated nurse. Conclusion It was possible to know the perceptions about the construction of the image of the nurse in Ceará, from the historical experiences of the teachers interviewed who influenced this process.

A multilayer particleboard panels, consisted of sugarcane bagasse reinforced composite as core material and hybrid composites made with Pinus taeda particles and Malva fibres as facing materials, were designed and evaluated in this work. Tukey test was used to identify the effect of the facing material, considering different combinations of Pinus taeda particles and Malva fibres, on the bulk density, thickness swelling, flexural strength, flexural stiffness and X-ray densitometry. A spray-up process was used to spread castor oil based polyurethane resin upon the dispersive phases followed by a hot compaction at 100oC. The particleboards were classified as medium density panels in accordance to the Brazilian, American and Canadian Standards. All treatments reached the minimum strength except for elastic modulus. Tukey test demonstrated the flexural strength and modulus responses for all treatments were statistically similar. Hybrid particleboard consisted of 75% of Pinus taeda wood and 25% of Malva fibres revealed a promising sustainable material for furniture industries, combining strength, low-cost and lower thickness swelling values.

RESUMO Este trabalho objetivou apresentar uma metodologia numérica de cálculo, fundamentada no Método dos Elementos Finitos e no Método dos Mínimos Quadrados, para obtenção do módulo de elasticidade longitudinal em vigas roliças de madeira de dimensões estruturais, considerando a influência das irregularidades na geometria das peças por aproximações lineares ao longo dos elementos finitos. Além do modelo numérico desenvolvido (1D), foram utilizados em conjunto outros dois, um analítico (simplificado 1D), que considera um único valor de diâmetro (geometria cilíndrica), medido no ponto médio da peça, e outro numérico (3D), que também permite delinear, de forma mais precisa, a geometria dos elementos estruturais roliços, possibilitando verificar as diferenças entre ambos. Para tanto, as vigas foram ensaiadas segundo o modelo de flexão estática a três pontos, sendo testadas 24 peças roliças de madeira da espécie Pinus elliottii, com comprimento médio de 630 cm, diâmetro médio das peças de 21 cm, madeira verde (saturada), conicidade média de 6% e fator de forma médio da seção de 0,82. Os resultados do intervalo de confiança entre os módulos de elasticidade do modelo numérico 1D (Eo) e analítico (Edeq) revelaram a equivalência estatísticas entre as metodologias, justificadas pela pequena conicidade das peças avaliadas, podendo ser diferentes para outras conicidades. O emprego dos módulos de elasticidade obtidos do modelo numérico 1D nas simulações dos elementos roliços em três dimensões conduziram a valores de deslocamentos equivalentes aos obtidos nas experimentações, comprovando a eficiência do modelo numérico 1D, mostrando ser este último mais interessante por exigir menor esforço computacional.

ABSTRACT This research aimed to present a numerical methodology of calculation, based on the Finite Element Method and the Least Squares Method, to determine de longitudinal modulus of elasticity in structural round timber beams, considering the irregularities in the geometry of the elements by linear approximation along the finite elements. In addition with the numerical model (1D), together, two others were used, one analytical (1D simplified), which considers a single value of diameter (cylindrical geometry), measured at the midpoint of the elements, and another numerical model (3D), allows more accurately to delineate the geometry of the element, enabling check the difference between them. Therefore, the beams were evaluated according to the static three-point bending test, being tested twenty four elements of Pinus elliottii wood species, with average length of 630 cm, breast height diameter around 21 cm, green wood (satured), tape average of 6% and mean of factor form section of 0,82. The results of the confidence interval between the modulus of elasticity of the 1D numerical model (Eo) and analytical (Edeq) showed statistical equivalence between the methodologies, justified by the small taper of the elements, may be different for others tapers. The use of the longitudinal modulus of elasticity obtained from de numerical 1D model in the 3D simulations of the round timber beams lead to displacement values equivalent to those obtained in the tests, proving the efficiency of 1D numerical model, requiring less computational work.

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease associated with delayed wound healing of oral ulcers by increased expression of proinflammatory cytokines and cellular apoptosis. Objective to evaluate the influence of Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF-α) and apoptosis in rats with DM treated with chamomile extract or triamcinolone. Material and Methods Wistar male rats (210.0±4.2 g) were divided into five groups: negative control group (NCG) without diabetes; positive control group (PCG) with DM (alloxan, 45 mg/kg); and groups treated with chamomile extract (normoglycemic= NCG group and diabetic= DCG group) and with triamcinolone (TG). Traumatic ulcers were performed on all animals that received topical triamcinolone, chamomile extract or saline 12/12 hours for ten days. Results On days five and ten the animals were euthanized and the ulcers were analyzed by light microscopy, TUNEL assay, and immunohistochemically (TNF-α). The NCG (p=0.0062), PCG (p=0.0285), NCG (p=0.0041), and DCG (p<0.0001) groups were completely healed on the 10th day, however, there was no healing on the TG (p=0.5127) group. The TNF-α expression showed a significant reduction from the 5th to the 10th day in NCG (p=0.0266) and DCG (p=0.0062). In connective tissue, the TUNEL assay showed a significant reduction in the number of positive cells in NCG (p=0.0273) and CNG (p=0.0469) and in the epithelium only in CDG (p=0.0320). Conclusions Chamomile extract can optimize the healing of traumatic oral ulcers in diabetic rats through the reduction of apoptosis in the epithelium and TNF-α expression.
