Resumo A pandemia causada pela doença do coronavírus 2019 (covid-19) estabeleceu desafios e estimulou o desenvolvimento de diferentes formas terapêuticas em várias áreas médicas. Estudos descreveram características clínicas e desfechos de pacientes, incluindo desordens do sistema de coagulação, em que os pacientes infectados pelo vírus apresentam um estado de hipercoagulabilidade e pró-inflamatório que mimetiza uma vasculite. O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever o quadro clínico e a terapia empregada em uma série de três pacientes que evoluíram com quadro de oclusão arterial aguda no período pós-infecção por covid-19. O manejo aplicado nesses casos permitiu que os pacientes evoluíssem sem sequelas. A baixa incidência e a pobreza em relatos descritos tornam difícil o estabelecimento de critérios e opções terapêuticas universalmente aceitos nos casos de isquemia, seja precoce ou tardia, dos pacientes infectados pelo novo coronavírus.

Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic caused by the Sars-Cov-2 virus created challenges and stimulated development of new forms of treatment in many different areas of medicine. Studies have described the clinical characteristics of patients and their outcomes, including disorders affecting the coagulation system, in which patients infected by the virus enter a hypercoagulable and proinflammatory state that mimics vasculitis. The objective of this study was to describe the clinical status and the treatment administered to three patients who developed acute arterial occlusion after Covid-19 infection. The management adopted in these cases enabled the patients to recover without sequelae. The low incidence and scarcity of published reports make it difficult to establish universally accepted treatment criteria and options for cases of ischemia in patients infected with the novel coronavirus, whether presenting early or late.

Resumo Inatividade física e sedentarismo são associados com baixa saúde física e mental. O objetivo deste artigo é avaliar as mudanças nos hábitos dos participantes brasileiros praticantes de atividades físicas em relação às suas práticas, devido às medidas de distanciamento social durante a epidemia COVID-19 em 2020. O objetivo secundário foi descrever seus níveis de ansiedade e depressão. O questionário utilizado nesta pesquisa on-line incluiu informações demográficas, questões sobre a autopercepção do impacto do COVID-19 nas rotinas da vida e a Escala de Depressão de Ansiedade Hospitalar de 14 itens. Um total de 1.613 adultos completou o questionário entre 11 e 15 de maio de 2020. Destes, 79,4% relataram que as medidas para conter a epidemia tiveram algum impacto em suas atividades físicas e muitos tiveram que interromper ou diminuir a frequência de suas práticas. Os participantes que sentiram um maior impacto da quarentena em suas atividades físicas tendem a ter maior prevalência de sintomas de ansiedade e depressão. Os indivíduos que praticavam atividades físicas relataram que o distanciamento social teve alta influência em suas práticas. Além disso, as mudanças destes hábitos são associadas com altos níveis de precária saúde mental.

Abstract Physical inactivity and sedentary behavior are associated with poor physical and mental health. The article aims to assess the changes in the habits of the Brazilian participants engaged in physical activities in relation to their practices, due the measures of social distancing during the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020. The secondary objective was to describe their levels of anxiety and depression. The questionnaire used in this online survey included demographic information, questions about self-perceptions of the impact of the COVID-19 in the life routines and the 14-item Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale. A total of 1,613 adults completed the questionnaire between May 11 and 15, 2020. Of those, 79.4% reported that the measures to contain the epidemic had any impact on their physical activities, and many had to interrupt or decrease the frequency of their practices. Participants who felt a higher impact of quarantine on their physical activities tend to have higher prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms. Individuals who practiced physical activities reported that social distance had a high influence on their practices. Furthermore, changes in these habits are associated with high levels of poor mental health.

RESUMO: A Província Mineral de Carajás, região amazônica, é a mais importante do Brasil. A Vale S.A. tem o direito de operar na área da mina N5E, que é conduzida em produtos de alteração de rochas de baixa qualidade geomecânica relacionados a arenitos, siltitos e uma cobertura laterítica. Para monitorar a deformação do solo, foram utilizadas 33 imagens de TerraSAR-X cobrindo o período de março de 2012 a abril de 2013. Foi aplicada uma abordagem interferométrica de radar de abertura sintética (InSAR) baseada em interferometria de espalhadores persistentes (PSI) utilizando um algoritmo de análise de alvo pontual. Os resultados mostraram que a maior parte da área foi considerada estável durante o período de aquisição de imagens, entretanto os espalhadores persistentes (PSs) com altas taxas de deformação foram mapeados em aterro, provavelmente relacionado a assentamentos. Para validar os dados PSI, foram gerados gráficos com os dados de deslocamento medidos em campo. Os gráficos mostraram que as deformações superficiais durante a cobertura das imagens TSX-1 estão conforme o limiar de segurança do minerador e não apresentam risco de problemas maiores. Os dados PSI forneceram uma visão sinóptica e detalhada do processo de deformação que afeta o complexo de mineração sem a necessidade de campanha de campo ou instrumentação.

ABSTRACT: Carajás Mineral Province, Amazon region, is the most important one in Brazil. Vale S.A. Company has the right to operate in the area of the N5E mine. The work is conducted on rock alteration products of low geomechanical quality related to sandstones, siltstones, and a lateritic cover. In order to monitor ground deformation, 33 TerraSAR-X images covering the period of March 2012-April 2013 were used in the investigation. An interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) approach based on permanent scatterer interferometry (PSI) using an interferometric point target analysis algorithm was applied. Results demonstrated that most of the area was considered stable during the time span of the image acquisition. However, persistent scatterers (PSs) with high deformation rates were mapped over a landfill probably related to settlements. To validate the PSI data, graphs were generated with the displaced information based on topographic measurements in the field. The graphs showed that the surface deformations during TSX-1 runway coverage are within the miner’s safety threshold and do not present a risk of major problems. The PSI data provided a synoptic and detailed view of the deformation process that affects the mining complex without the need of field campaign or instrumentation.
