ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the compliance with the commercialization of children's products included in the Brazilian Code of Marketing of Infant and Toddlers Food and Childcare-Related Products (NBCAL) in drugstores in Uberlândia/MG. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out in 143 drugstores that sold infant products: infant formula (IF), follow-up IF, nipples, teats, pacifiers and nipple shields; FI for young children, transition foods and cereal-based foods, fluid or powdered milk, modified/similar milks of plant origin and dairy compounds. The location of drugstores in the five geographic sectors was performed by geoprocessing. The data collected were: types of promotion and types of drugstore administration (drugstore chains/drugstores with independent administration). Irregular commercial promotion was expressed as absolute and relative frequencies. Results: Irregular commercial promotion was found in 11.7% of nipples, pacifiers and bottles, in 10.0% of IF and follow-up formula, in 9.5% of IF for young children, in 11.1% fluid or powdered milk, in 25.0% of transition foods and cereal-based foods and in 59.1% of dairy compounds. In commercial drugstore chains, the presence of promotion for dairy (81.8 vs. 28.6%, respectively) was higher than in drugstores with independent administration. The opposite ocurred for fluid or powdered milk, modified and similar milks of plant origin. The downtown and eastern sectors had the highest percentages of promotions (26%). Conclusions: NBCAL violations still occur in drugstores, mainly in the sale of young children's foods and in the commercial network drugstores.

RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar a conformidade da comercialização dos produtos infantis incluídos na Norma Brasileira de Comercialização de Alimentos para Lactentes e Crianças de Primeira Infância, Bicos, Chupetas e Mamadeira (NBCAL) e de compostos lácteos em drogarias de Uberlândia/MG. Métodos: Estudo transversal realizado em 143 drogarias que vendiam produtos infantis: fórmulas infantis (FI) para lactentes, FI de seguimento para lactentes, mamadeiras, bicos, chupetas e protetores de mamilo; FI para crianças de primeira infância, alimentos de transição e alimentos à base de cereais, leites fluidos/em pó, leites modificados/similares de origem vegetal e composto lácteo. A localização das drogarias nos cinco setores geográficos foi realizada por geoprocessamento. Os dados coletados foram: tipos de promoção comercial irregular e tipo de administração da drogaria (rede/independente). As promoções comerciais irregulares foram expressas em frequências absoluta e relativa. Resultados: Verificamos a presença de promoção comercial irregular em 11,7% dos bicos, chupetas e mamadeiras, em 10,0% das FI lactentes/seguimento de lactentes, em 9,5% das FI para crianças de primeira infância, em 11,1% dos leites, em 25,0% de alimentos de transição e em 59,1% dos compostos lácteos. Nas drogarias de rede, a presença de promoção comercial irregular foi maior para compostos lácteos (81,8 vs. 28,6%, respectivamente) e, para leites, foi maior nas drogarias independentes (30,8 vs. 6,0%). Os setores central e leste apresentaram os maiores percentuais de promoção comercial irregular (26%). Conclusões: As violações à NBCAL ainda ocorrem nas drogarias, principalmente para os produtos destinados às crianças de primeira infância, e nas drogarias de rede.

Resumo São inúmeros os benefícios comprovados do aleitamento materno, e a demanda por tal direito em saúde para as pessoas transfemininas é pouco abordada na literatura, reforçando as iniquidades em saúde. O artigo objetiva realizar uma revisão de escopo sobre a indução da lactação para pessoas transfemininas no contexto de assistência à saúde. Revisão sistemática da literatura em seis bases de dados selecionadas, buscando artigos com termos relacionados à lactação e pessoas transfemininas. Os dados foram extraídos e analisados, resumindo os principais resultados em tabelas. Foram encontrados 390 artigos. Após a exclusão dos duplicados, procedeu-se à seleção por título/resumo e posterior seleção pela leitura na íntegra, considerando os critérios de exclusão e inclusão. Foram incluídos 21 artigos, publicados entre 2018 e 2023. Entre eles, seis são relatos de casos com informações inéditas sobre o tema, e os demais são publicações em diversos formatos. A indução da lactação foi alcançada em todos os relatos de casos. Existe um corpo de evidências frágil e recente que afirma o sucesso da indução da lactação em mulheres trans. Há necessidade de respaldar essa demanda por parte dos profissionais e estudos robustos para otimizar as intervenções necessárias.

Abstract There are countless proven benefits of breastfeeding, and the demand for such a right in health for transfeminine people is rarely addressed in the literature, reinforcing inequities in health. The article aims to conduct a scoping review of lactation induction for transfeminine people in the health care context. Systematic literature review in six selected databases, looking for articles with terms related to lactation and transfeminine people. Data were extracted and analyzed, summarizing the main results in tables. Three hundred ninety articles were found. After the exclusion of the duplicates there was a selection by title/abstract and a following selection by the full reading of the remaining articles, considering the pre-determined exclusion and inclusion criteria. Twenty-one articles were included, published between 2018 and 2023. Among them, six are case reports with unprecedented information on the topic, and the others are publications in various formats. Lactation induction was achieved in all the case reports. There is a fragile and recent body of evidence affirming the success of lactation induction in transgender women. There is a necessity to support this demand by health professionals and robust studies to optimize necessary interventions.

Abstract This article aims to report the preparation and optimized formulation of Ctn[15-34], a designed anti-infective peptide, with poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid), PLGA, nanoparticles. Ctn[15-34] is a short peptide derived from crotalicidin, a cathelicidin-related antimicrobial peptide from the venom of the South American rattlesnake (Crotalus durissus terrificus), that has arisen as a promising antifungal and microbicide agent. The PLGA nanoparticles were prepared and loaded with carboxyfluorescein (CF)-Ctn[15-34] using the double emulsion/solvent evaporation method. After a preformulation study, which tested different formulation parameters, Poly (vinyl alcohol) 87-89% hydrolyzed and sonication with Sonifier® were choosen to prepare unloaded PLGA nanoparticles by that method, resulting in smaller particle size and Polydispersity Index (PDI) values and higher zeta potential values of nanoparticles. This better condition was used to prepare CF-Ctn[15-34]-loaded PLGA nanoparticles, resulting in homogeneous and spherical nanoparticles, with an average size of 213.2 ± 2.00 nm, PDI of 0.044 ± 0.04 and zeta potential of -16.03 ± 1.20 mV. An excellent encapsulation efficiency was obtained, corresponding to 93.3 ± 0.10 %. The drug-release profile showed a rapid initial release of the peptide, approximately 27 % in the first 24 hours, followed by a sustained release for at least 16 days. Another relevant aspect in the peptide formulation is that the CF-Ctn[15-34]-loaded nanoparticles potentiated the antifungal effect against the opportunistic pathogenic yeast Cryptococcus neoformans compared with the free, in solution Ctn[15-34], in equivalent volume dosage. A preparation method of CF-Ctn[15-34]-loaded PLGA nanoparticles was established and validated, representing a successful approach to deliver CF-Ctn[15-34] for pharmaceutical applications.

Abstract Background Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the main etiological factor for the development of cervical cancer. HPV 18 is the second most frequent type, accounting for up to 65% of all cases. HPV intratypic variation may influence the potential for progression to invasive cancer. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of human papillomavirus 18 intratypic variants in cervical cancer samples from women in the state of Maranhão, Brazil. Methods The study included 118 women over 18 years of age with a diagnosis of cervical cancer. Tumor fragments were collected and subjected to DNA extraction and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) for HPV detection using the PGMY09/11 and GP+5/6 primers. Positive samples were submitted to automated sequencing for viral genotyping. To determine the HPV 18 lineages, positive samples were submitted to PCR, using specific primers to amplify the LCR and E6 regions of HPV 18 virus. Results HPV was present in 88 women (73.3%). Of those, 48 (54%) were HPV 16, the most prevalent, followed by 12 (13.6%) HPV 18. Histologically, squamous cell carcinoma was predominant (79.1%). Among the HPV 18 variants identified, 10 (80%) belonged to lineage A, and sublineages A1, A2, A3, and A4. Two (29%) HPV 18 B variant was also detected, with the sublineages B1 and B2. In this study, the C variant was not found. There was no statistically significant association between the HPV 18 lineages found and sociodemographic and lifestyle variables (p > 0.05). Conclusions A higher frequency of HPV 16 and 18 were found in women with cervical cancer in the state of Maranhão, Brazil, with a high prevalence of the lineage A among women with HPV 18.

Abstract With the growing number of occupational therapists working at the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) in Brazil, there has been an increasing need for education processes focusing on the critical development of professional practice in this field. From this education demand, a project was created in October 2020: “Communities of Practice in Occupational Therapy at SUAS: professional planning and construction of strategies” aiming to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between occupational therapists working in social assistance. This study aims to present the work possibilities and limits at SUAS from the point of view of occupational therapists who work at its units and who participated in the Community of Practice, analyzing whether and how their professional actions have been related to the social occupational therapy theoretical-methodological framework. To this end, all the recording material produced in the two project cycles from October 2020 to July 2021 was revisited. The collected information was organized in a table that grouped the themes found. Data analysis revealed two main aspects that allow the correlation of the professionals’ actions with the social occupational therapy theoretical-methodological framework, namely, the necessary interpretation of the inseparability between micro- and macro-social factors for the development of work and the professional and political dimensions of the occupational-therapeutic actions. In both debates, the social occupational therapy theoretical-methodological framework has been the guiding thread of the process, enabling a social reading and a greater understanding of technical-professional purposes within the scope of social assistance.

Resumo Com o crescente número de terapeutas ocupacionais atuantes no Sistema Único de Assistência Social (SUAS), amplia-se a necessidade por processos formativos que desenvolvam criticamente a atuação profissional neste campo. A partir desta demanda formativa foi criado, em outubro de 2020, um projeto de extensão intitulado “Comunidade de práticas em terapia ocupacional no SUAS: articulação profissional e construção de estratégias”, com o intuito de promover trocas de conhecimento e experiências entre terapeutas ocupacionais trabalhadoras em unidades socioassistenciais. Neste artigo se apresentam as possibilidades e os limites do trabalho no SUAS sob o ponto de vista de terapeutas ocupacionais que nele atuam e que foram participantes da Comunidade de Práticas, analisando se e como suas ações profissionais têm se relacionado com a fundamentação teórico-metodológica da terapia ocupacional social. Para isso, foi revisitado todo o material de registro produzido nos dois ciclos do projeto, efetivados de outubro de 2020 a julho de 2021. As informações extraídas das atas foram organizadas em um quadro que agrupou as temáticas encontradas. A análise dos dados revelou dois principais aspectos que possibilitam a correlação das ações das profissionais com a fundamentação teórico-metodológica da terapia ocupacional social, sendo: a necessária leitura acerca da indissociabilidade entre os fatores micro e macrossociais para o desenvolvimento do trabalho e a dimensão técnico-política da atuação terapêutico-ocupacional. Em ambos os debates a fundamentação teórico-metodológica da terapia ocupacional social foi e tem sido o fio condutor do processo, possibilitando uma leitura social e maior apropriação das finalidades técnico-profissionais no âmbito da assistência social.

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the contribution of oral and maxillofacial pathology laboratories (OMPLs) in Brazilian public universities to the diagnosis of lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). A cross-sectional study was performed using biopsy records from a consortium of sixteen public OMPLs from all regions of Brazil (North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast, and South). Clinical and demographic data of patients diagnosed with lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal SCC between 2010 and 2019 were collected from the patients’ histopathological records. Of the 120,010 oral and maxillofacial biopsies (2010-2019), 6.9% (8,321 cases) were diagnosed as lip (0.8%, 951 cases), oral cavity (4.9%, 5,971 cases), and oropharyngeal (1.2%, 1,399 cases) SCCs. Most cases were from Brazil’s Southeast (64.5%), where six of the OMPLs analyzed are located. The predominant profile of patients with lip and oral cavity SCC was Caucasian men, with a mean age over 60 years, low schooling level, and a previous history of heavy tobacco consumption. In the oropharyngeal group, the majority were non-Caucasian men, with a mean age under 60 years, had a low education level, and were former/current tobacco and alcohol users. According to data from the Brazilian National Cancer Institute, approximately 9.9% of the total lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal SCCs reported over the last decade in Brazil may have been diagnosed at the OMPLs included in the current study. Therefore, this data confirms the contribution of public OMPLs with respect to the important diagnostic support they provide to the oral healthcare services extended by the Brazilian Public Health System.

Resumo: Introdução: A vivência da maternidade para mulheres primíparas é um momento de passagem e diz respeito a mudanças físicas e emocionais. Essa experiência precisa ser acolhida pelas equipes de saúde desde a Atenção Primária até a média e alta complexidade. Sendo assim, no pré-natal de risco habitual, o enfermeiro generalista e o enfermeiro obstetra devem estar nas equipes de cuidados mantendo a qualidade da assistência ao pré- natal, parto e puerpério. A atenção a mulher de forma humanizada pode contribuir para a vivência de um puerpério mais satisfatório. Objetivos: reconhecer as percepções de puérperas nas ações de cuidado recebidas por enfermeiros em um Hospital de Ensino. Métodos: estudo qualitativo, exploratório, realizado em um Hospital de Ensino Federal, vinculado a uma Universidade Pública. Compôs o grupo desse estudo 13 mulheres primíparas, que pariram seus filhos através de parto normal ou de cirurgia cesariana no segundo semestre de 2021. Foi realizada entrevista por plataforma Google Meet entre o 30º e 45º dia de pós-parto com a seguinte indagação: Conte para mim o que representa ser mulher e puérpera pela primeira vez? A Análise foi realizada pelo software Iramuteq (Interface R pous les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaries - Versão alpha 2) Resultados: o corpus das entrevistas gerou 308 Unidades de Contexto Elementar (UCE). A Classificação Hierárquica Descendente (CHD) reteve 254 UCE, com aproveitamento de 82,47% e cinco classes, o léxico mais frequente foi enfermeiro (a), com frequência de 23 citações nos segmentos dos textos. Conclusões: Foi possível reconhecer o enfermeiro, como profissional promotor de práticas humanizadas na assistência ao parto, pelo relato das participantes do acolhimento recebido no momento do parto e puerpério imediato.

Abstract: Introduction: The experience of motherhood for primiparous women is a moment of passage and concerns physical and emotional changes. This experience needs to be welcomed by health teams from primary care to medium and high complexity. Therefore, in the usual risk prenatal care, the generalist nurse and the obstetrician nurse must be in the care teams, maintaining the quality of prenatal, childbirth and postpartum care. The attention to women in a humanized way can contribute to the experience of a more satisfactory postpartum period. Objectives: to recognize the perceptions of puerperal women in the care actions given by nurses in a School Hospital. Methods: qualitative, exploratory study, carried out in a Federal School Hospital, linked to a public university. The group in this study was composed of 13 primiparous women, who gave birth to their children through normal delivery or cesarean section in the second half of 2021. An interview was carried out using the Google Meet platform between the 30th and 45th day postpartum with the following question: What does it mean to me to be a woman and a puerperal for the first time? The analysis was performed using the Iramuteq software (Interface R pous les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires - Version 0.7 alpha 2) Results: the corpus of the 13 interviews generated 308 Elementary Context Units (ECU). The Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD) retained 254 UCE, with an 82.47% success rate and five classes; the most frequent lexicon was nurse (a), with a frequency of 23 citations in the text segments. Conclusions: it was possible to recognize the nurse as a professional promoter of humanized practices in childbirth care, by the participants' reports about the reception received at the time of childbirth and the immediate postpartum period.

RESUMO: Tendo em vista a necessidade de aumentar a variabilidade genética para obter materiais com significativa capacidade de tolerância à seca, este estudo conduziu um ciclo de seleção recorrente recíproca de famílias de irmãos completos de milho. Para tanto, 64 famílias de irmãos completos de milho foram avaliadas em dois ambientes de acordo com seus dados morfoagronômicos em um delineamento de blocos casualizados com duas repetições. Foram analisados o florescimento masculino (MF); florescimento feminino (FF); Intervalo de florescimento (IF); dias para florescimento (DF); Altura da planta (PH); Altura da espiga (EH); número de plantas na parcela (NPS); Número de planta quebrada (NBrP); Número de plantas com acamadas (NBeP); empalhamento (St); Comprimento da espiga (EL); Diâmetro da espiga (DE); Número de espigas (EN); Prolificidade (Pr); Número de espigas doentes (EQM); Número de espigas atacadas por pragas (NEP); Peso de espiga (EW); Rendimento de grãos (YIE) e Índice de clorofila total (TCI). A análise de variância foi realizada pelo teste F com nível de significância de 5% e também pela avaliação dos parâmetros genéticos. Em relação aos dados morfoagronômicos, a análise de variância e a análise dos parâmetros genéticos mostraram que não houve interação genótipo x ambiente no que diz respeito à variabilidade genética entre as famílias em estudo. Por fim, a seleção final dos genótipos superiores foi feita com base no ranking das 40 famílias mais produtivas, das quais, combinadas com os dados moleculares, foram selecionadas as 30 mais produtivas, mais tolerantes à seca e mais geneticamente diversificadas. para compor o próximo ciclo de seleção recorrente de milho visando tolerância ao estresse hídrico.

ABSTRACT: In view of the need to increase genetic variability to obtain materials with a significant capacity to drought tolerance, this study conducted a cycle of a reciprocal recurrent selection of full-sib families of maize. To this end, 64 full-sib families of maize were evaluated in two environments according to their morpho-agronomic data in a randomized block design with two replicates. It were analyzed of Male flowering (MF); Female flowering (FF); Flowering interval (IF); days for flowering (DF); Plant height (PH); Ear height (EH); number of plants at the Stand (NPS); Number of broken plant (NBrP); Number of bedded plants (NBeP); Strawing (St); Ear length (EL); Ear diameter (ED); Ear number (EN); Prolificacy (Pr); Number of diseased ears (NDE); Number of ears attacked by pests (NEP); Ear weight (EW); Yield (YIE) and Total Chlorophyll Index (TCI). The analysis of variance was performed by the F test at 5% significance level, and also the evaluation of genetic parameters. Regarding morpho-agronomic data, the analysis of variance and the analysis of genetic parameters showed that there was no interaction genotype x environment with regard to the genetic variability among the families under study. Lastly, the final selection of the superior genotypes was made on the basis of the ranking of the 40 most productive families, from which, combined with the molecular data, the 30 most productive, most drought-tolerant, and most genetically diverse ones were selected to compose the next cycle of recurrent maize selection aiming water-stress tolerance.

RESUMO Objetivo o diagnóstico da tuberculose pleural (TBpl) é um desafio devido à sua natureza paucibacilar e à necessidade de procedimentos invasivos. Este estudo visou identificar variáveis facilmente disponíveis, bem como construir um modelo preditivo para o diagnóstico da TBpl que possa permitir a utilização de uma estratégia alternativa precoce e acessível em unidades de cuidados básicos de saúde. Métodos um estudo transversal observacional comparou pacientes com TB e não TB seguidos em um hospital terciário brasileiro entre 2010 e 2018. Foi realizada uma análise de regressão logística incondicional que foi validado e aplicado em um modelo de classificação de árvore de decisão (CAD) em pacientes com diagnóstico empírico de TB. Foram calculados precisão (Prec), sensibilidade (Se), especificidade (Esp), assim como os valores preditivos positivos e negativos. Resultados de 1.135 pacientes com diagnóstico de TB, 160 foram considerados para análise (111 com TBpl confirmada e 49 com TBpl não confirmada. 58 pacientes não TB foram considerados como controles. Hiporexia [odds ratio ajustado (ORa) 27,39 (95% IC 6,26-119,89)] e características celulares/bioquímicas do líquido pleural (LP) (polimorfonuclear em duas categorias: 3%-14% ORa 26,22, 95% IC 7,11-96,68; e < 3% ORa 28,67, 95% IC 5,51-149,25; e proteína ≥ 5g/dL ORa 7,24, 95% IC 3,07-17,11) foram associadas a um risco mais elevado de tuberculose. O diagnóstico de CAD construído ao empregar essas variáveis mostrou valores de Prec = 87,6%, Se = 89,2%, Esp = 84,5% para o diagnóstico de TB e foi aplicado com sucesso em doentes com TB não confirmada. Conclusão o modelo CAD mostrou um excelente desempenho para o diagnóstico de TB e pode ser considerado como estratégia alternativa de diagnóstico, utilizando padrões clínicos em associação com características celulares/bioquímicas do LP, que são acessíveis e facilmente realizados em unidades de cuidados básicos de saúde.

ABSTRACT Objectives Pleural tuberculosis (PlTB) diagnosis is a challenge due to its paucibacillary nature and to the need of invasive procedures. This study aimed to identify easily available variables and build a predictive model for PlTB diagnosis which may allow earlier and affordable alternative strategy to be used in basic health care units. Methods An observational cross-sectional study compared PlTB and non-TB patients followed at a tertiary Brazilian hospital between 2010 and 2018. Unconditional logistic regression analysis was performed and a Decision Tree Classifier (DTC) model was validated and applied in additional PlTB patients with empiric diagnosis. The accuracy (Acc), sensitivity (Se), specificity (Sp), positive and negative predictive values were calculated. Results From 1,135 TB patients, 160 were considered for analysis (111 confirmed PlTB and 49 unconfirmed PlTB). Indeed, 58 non-TB patients were enrolled as controls. Hyporexia [adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 27.39 (95% CI 6.26 – 119.89)] and cellular/biochemical characteristics on pleural fluid (PF) (polimorphonuclear in two categories: 3-14% aOR 26.22, 95% CI 7.11 – 96.68 and < 3% aOR 28.67, 95% CI 5.51 – 149.25; and protein ≥ 5g/dL aOR 7.24, 95% CI 3.07 – 17.11) were associated with higher risk for TB. The DTC constructed using these variables showed Acc=87.6%, Se=89.2%, Sp=84.5% for PlTB diagnosis and was successfully applied in unconfirmed PlTB patients. Conclusion The DTC model showed an excellent performance for PlTB diagnosis and can be considered as an alternative diagnostic strategy by using clinical patterns in association with PF cellular/biochemical characteristics, which were affordable and easily performed in basic health care units.

Resumo Objetivo: Descrever as percepções de profissionais de saúde brasileiros acerca do método baby-led weaning (BLW) para alimentação complementar. Métodos: Estudo de corte transversal conduzido com 458 profissionais de saúde graduados em Enfermagem, Fonoaudiologia, Medicina, Nutrição ou Odontologia e que atuavam em pediatria, estando direta ou indiretamente envolvidos com nutrição infantil. A amostragem foi não probabilística, de conveniência. O questionário englobou características demográficas, titulação e local de trabalho dos participantes, além do conhecimento, da prática clínica e das percepções sobre possíveis vantagens do BLW. Resultados: Os profissionais de saúde tinham idade média de 34,5±8,5 anos, 64,6% atuavam no sudeste do Brasil e 65,3% eram nutricionistas. A maioria relatou conhecer o BLW (82,1%). Quanto à prática clínica, 38,3% mencionaram que costumavam recomendar o BLW às vezes, 37,5%, frequentemente, e 20,5%, sempre. Grande parte declarou que concordava totalmente que o método poderia trazer vantagens, tornando os bebês mais propensos a compartilharem refeições em família, facilitando a adaptação aos sabores e às consistências dos alimentos, potencializando a mastigação e favorecendo o desenvolvimento de habilidades motoras, porém manifestaram-se discordâncias importantes em relação à comodidade/conveniência e ao argumento de gerar menos preocupação ou ansiedade para os pais/cuidadores. Conclusões: Em geral, o BLW foi relatado como vantajoso, mas foram evidenciadas discordâncias, que são um provável reflexo da escassez de evidências científicas factuais sobre essa temática. São necessários mais estudos, para a melhor compressão de seus riscos e benefícios. Só assim os profissionais de saúde se sentirão efetivamente respaldados para fornecer suporte ou aconselhamento aos pais/cuidadores.

Abstract Objective: To describe Brazilian health professionals’ perception about the Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) method use for complementary feeding. Methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive study including 458 health professionals graduated in Nursing, Speech Therapy, Medicine, Nutrition or Dentistry and working in Pediatrics, being directly or indirectly involved with pediatric nutrition. We used a convenience non-probability sampling. The questionnaire applied to participants addressed demographic characteristics, academic degree, workplace, knowledge about clinical practice and perceptions about the possible advantages of the BLW method. Results: Participants had a mean age of 34.5±8.5 years, 64.6% of them working in Southeast Brazil and 65.3% being nutritionists. Most participants reported being acquainted with the BLW method (82.0%). Regarding clinical practice, 38.3% mentioned having recommended the BLW some times, 37.5% often and 20.5% always. Most participants fully agreed that the BLW method could have advantages for babies, for example, having them more likely to share family meals, facilitating adaptation to food flavors and consistencies, enhancing chewing and favoring the development of motor skills. On the other hand, important disagreements were also expressed regarding the BLW convenience and the possibility to create less concerns or anxiety in parents. Conclusions: The BLW method reported as advantageous, but disagreements were also raised, probably because scientific evidences on the suject are scarse. Further investigation is needed so we can better understand the risks and benefits and health care professionals can feel effectively assisted to offer support and advice to parents and caretakers.

RESUMO Objetivo: sintetizar evidências sobre efeitos das intervenções breves na redução do consumo de bebidas alcóolicas entre adultos. Método: estudo de revisão sistemática, cadastrado protocolo na International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews, registro nº CRD42020153034. A busca foi realizada em 2020, em bases de dados eletrônicas e foram incluídos ensaios clínicos randomizados que avaliavam os efeitos de Intervenções Breve em adultos bebedores de álcool. Resultados: foram avaliados 11 artigos. Todos os estudos realizaram, nos grupos controle e experimental, teste de identificação do padrão de consumo de álcool, com oferta de feedback para o usuário em seguida. As intervenções utilizam metodologias que incitam o usuário à tomada de decisão, bem como manter a decisão tomada e evitar recaídas. Conclusão: esta pesquisa contribui para o ensino e assistência em saúde, por meio de reflexões sobre a identificação do abuso de álcool e compilado sobre a aplicação e impacto das Intervenções Breves.

ABSTRACT Objective: to synthesize evidence on the effects of brief interventions on reducing alcohol consumption among adults. Method: systematic review study, protocol registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews, registration no. CRD42020153034. The search was conducted in 2020, in electronic databases and randomized clinical trials that evaluated the effects of Brief Interventions in adult alcohol drinkers were included. Results: 11 articles were evaluated. All studies performed, in the control and experimental groups, a test to identify the pattern of alcohol consumption, with feedback offered to the user afterwards. The interventions use methodologies that encourage the user to make a decision, as well as maintain the decision made and avoid relapse. Conclusion: this research contributes to health care teaching and assistance, through reflections on the identification of alcohol abuse and compiled on the application and impact of Brief Interventions.

RESUMEN Objetivo: sintetizar las pruebas sobre los efectos de las intervenciones breves para reducir el consumo de alcohol entre los adultos. Método: estudio de revisión sistemática, protocolo registrado en el Registro Internacional Prospectivo de Revisiones Sistemáticas, número de registro CRD42020153034. La búsqueda se realizó en 2020, en bases de datos electrónicas y se incluyeron ensayos clínicos aleatorios que evaluaron los efectos de las Intervenciones Breves en bebedores de alcohol adultos. Resultados: Se evaluaron 11 artículos. Todos los estudios realizaron, en los grupos de control y experimental, una prueba para identificar el patrón de consumo de alcohol, con una retroalimentación ofrecida al usuario después. Las intervenciones utilizan metodologías que incitan al usuario a tomar una decisión, así como a mantener la decisión tomada y evitar recaídas. Conclusión: esta investigación contribuye a la docencia y a la atención sanitaria, a través de reflexiones sobre la identificación del abuso de alcohol y recopiladas sobre la aplicación y el impacto de las Intervenciones Breves.

Resumo Objetivo: analisar a contribuição do cuidador para o autocuidado na insuficiência cardíaca e variáveis preditoras desta contribuição. Método: estudo transversal descritivo e analítico, com a participação de 140 díades (pacientes e cuidadores). A contribuição para o autocuidado foi avaliada por meio do Caregiver Contribution to Self-Care of Heart Failure Index. Cuidadores e pacientes foram entrevistados separadamente para obtenção dos dados. A regressão linear múltipla foi utilizada para verificar variáveis preditoras da contribuição do cuidador. Resultados: a pontuação média de contribuição para o autocuidado de manutenção foi 62,7 (DP=7,1), de manejo, 62,9 (DP=20,4) e na confiança foi 63,3 (DP=22,1). A variáveis número de medicamentos do paciente, cuidador ter parentesco com o paciente, percepção social do cuidador, qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde do paciente e a confiança do cuidador na contribuição para o autocuidado foram preditoras da contribuição do cuidador para o autocuidado de manutenção ou de manejo. Conclusão: a contribuição do cuidador foi insuficiente. O apoio social percebido pelo cuidador, cuidador ter ou não parentesco com o paciente, número de medicamentos utilizados pelo paciente, bem como a confiança do cuidador em contribuir para o autocuidado são variáveis que devem ser consideradas para avaliar o risco de contribuição insuficiente do cuidador.

Abstract Objective: to analyze the caregiver’s contribution to self-care in heart failure and the predictor variables of this contribution. Method: a cross-sectional descriptive and analytical study, with the participation of 140 dyads (patients and caregivers). The contribution to self-care was assessed using the Caregiver Contribution to Self-Care of Heart Failure Index. Caregivers and patients were interviewed separately to obtain the data. Multiple linear regressions were used to verify predictor variables of caregiver contribution. Results: the mean score for contribution to maintenance self-care was 62.7 (SD=7.1), for management, 62.9 (SD=20.4) and for confidence was 63.3 (SD=22.1). The variables number of patient’s medications, caregiver being related to the patient, social perception of caregiver, health-related quality of life of the patient and caregiver’s confidence in contributing to self-care were predictors of caregiver’s contribution to maintenance or management self-care. Conclusion: the caregiver’s contribution was insufficient. The social support perceived by the caregiver, the type of relationship the caregiver to the patient, the number of medications used by the patient, as well as the caregiver’s confidence in contributing to self-care are variables that should be considered to assess the risk of insufficient contribution of the caregiver.

El apoyo social percibido por el cuidador, el cuidador tener o no parentesco con el paciente, el número de medicamentos utilizados por el paciente y la confianza del cuidador en contribuir para el autocuidado, son variables que deben ser consideradas para evaluar el riesgo de contribución insuficiente del cuidador.

ABSTRACT. Chickpea is a legume with nutrient-rich grains important for human feeding. Tobacco budworm, Chloridea virescens (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is one of the most major pests of chickpea (Cicer arietinum) in Brazil. This pest damages leaves, flowers, pods, and grains. Plant resistance to insects is an important tactic of pest management, which usually facilitates and reduce costs of implementing an Integrated Pest Management for farmers. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the resistance in chickpea cultivars to C. virescens. Six chickpea cultivars were evaluated for antixenosis, initial antibiotic parameters, and behavior under field conditions. The cultivars BRS Kalifa and BRS Cícero were less attractive in a free-choice test, while Jamu 96 and BRS Kalifa were less attractive in a no-choice test. BRS Kalifa and BRS Toro leaves had a higher trichome density. Jamu 96 and BRS Toro had higher contents of oxalic and malic acids. C. virescens larvae in BRS Cícero, BRS Toro, and BRS Kalifa showed the lowest weights. Jamu 96 pods were the least damaged, and BRS Aleppo and Jamu 96 had the highest yields. The chickpea cultivars Jamu 96 and BRS Aleppo, which had resistance levels and mechanisms, can be used in integrated pest management programs to control C. virescens.

RESUMO O modelo agrícola predominante no Brasil apresenta disparidades sociais, econômicas e ambientais acentuadas. Tal cenário consiste em um grande desafio para o avanço da agroecologia, um dos caminhos apontados pelas Nações Unidas para o alcance dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) e o desenvolvimento territorial de forma sustentável. Assim, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar os limites e os desafios na implantação de estratégias territoriais sob a ótica dos Territórios Saudáveis e Sustentáveis (TSS), tendo como eixo estruturante a controvérsia agroecologia x agrotóxicos. O artigo enfoca sua análise na Região Integrada de Desenvolvimento do Distrito Federal e Entorno (Ride-DF), na forma de pesquisa do tipo prospectiva, com revisão de literatura e recolha documental pertinente. Conclui-se que, a despeito do seu potencial, são escassas as informações sobre a temática, especialmente na efetividade e eficácia da estratégia de implantação dos TSS e o uso da agroecologia como suporte. O estudo depreende ainda que há a necessidade de aprofundar a realização de novas pesquisas e a construção de estratégia de intervenção territorial sob a ótica dos TSS.

ABSTRACT The predominant agricultural model in Brazil presents marked social, economic, and environmental disparities. This scenario consists of a great challenge for the advancement of Agroecology, one of the ways pointed out by the United Nations for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the territorial development in a sustainable way. Thus, the present study aimed to analyze the limits and challenges in the implementation of territorial strategies from the perspective of Healthy and Sustainable Territories (TSS), having the agroecology vs. agrochemicals controversy as a structuring axis. The essay focuses its analysis on the Integrated Development Region of the Federal District and Surroundings (RideDF), in the form of prospective research, with literature review and pertinent documentary collection. It is concluded that, in spite of its potential, information on the theme is scarce, especially on the effectiveness and efficiency of the TSS implementation strategy and the use of Agroecology as a support. The study also concludes that there is a need to deepen the accomplishment of new research and the construction of new territorial intervention strategies from the perspective of the TSS.
