ABSTRACT Objective: To describe the fear caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to analyze the association of food insecurity and fear of COVID-19 as anxiety predictors in women who are Sistema Único de Saúde users. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 2021 with 73 women out of 118 who were followed up in a cohort study in the municipality of João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil. The women were selected in health units before the pandemic and their telephone contact enabled remote data collection. Socioeconomic and demographic information, food insecurity, fear of COVID-19, and anxiety were assessed. The Brazilian Food Insecurity Scale, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, and the Fear of COVID-19 Scale were used. An association between variables was performed using the chi-square test and a logistic regression verified the independent effect of variables concerning anxiety. A 5% significance level was considered. Results: The median age of the women was 33 years and the median per capita family income was BRL 665.33. Most of them lived with a partner and declared themselves mostly black or brown. Lower income and greater severity of food insecurity were associated with greater fear of COVID-19, and this feeling increased the probability of women being in a high anxiety state (OR=3.167). Conclusion: The most vulnerable women, with lower income and greater food insecurity had more fear of COVID-19 which increased their anxiety. Even after the pandemic is over, the effects of these events can maintain a state of mental distress that must be considered and properly cared for.

RESUMO Objetivo: O estudo teve como objetivo descrever o medo causado pela pandemia da COVID-19 e analisar a associação da insegurança alimentar e do medo da COVID-19 como preditores da ansiedade em mulheres usuárias do Sistema Único de Saúde. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo transversal realizado em 2021 com 73 mulheres de um total de 118 que foram acompanhadas em um estudo de coorte no município de João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brasil. As mulheres foram selecionadas em unidades de saúde antes da pandemia, e o contato telefônico possibilitou a coleta de dados de forma remota. Informações socioeconômicas e demográficas, sobre insegurança alimentar, medo da COVID-19 e ansiedade foram avaliadas. Utilizou-se a Escala Brasileira de Insegurança Alimentar, o Inventário de Ansiedade Traço-Estado e a Escala de Medo de COVID-19. A associação entre variáveis foi realizada com teste qui-quadrado, e a regressão logística verificou o efeito independente das variáveis com relação à ansiedade. Considerou-se significância de 5%. Resultados: A mediana da idade das mulheres foi de 33 anos, e a renda familiar per capita foi de R$ 665,33. As mulheres, em sua maioria, conviviam com companheiro e se autodeclararam pretas ou pardas. Menor renda e maior severidade da insegurança alimentar estiveram associadas a maior medo da COVID-19, e esse sentimento aumentou as chances de as mulheres estarem em estado de alta ansiedade (OR=3,167). Conclusão: As mulheres mais vulneráveis, com menor renda e maior insegurança alimentar tiveram mais medo da COVID-19, e isso colaborou para o aumento da ansiedade dessas mulheres. Mesmo com o fim da pandemia, os efeitos dessa fase podem manter um estado de sofrimento mental que precisa ser considerado e cuidado apropriadamente.

ABSTRACT Objectives: Fragility fractures increase morbidity and mortality. Adding assessment of clinical risk factors independently or as a previous step to Bone Densitometry (BD) should provide better accuracy in fracture risk prediction. FRAX tool might be used to stratify patients in order to rationalize the need for BD and risk classification. The primary objective of this study is to describe and perform comparisons between the estimated risk of fractures in 10 years using the FRAX calculator based on clinical factors with and without BD results for women aged 40 or more with clinical diseases monitored in tertiary care service in internal medicine. Methods: Cross-sectional. Women over 40 years with BD in the previous year. After medical chart review, identification of risk factors and risk estimations using FRAX-BRAZIL with (FRAX BDI) and without (FRAX BDNI) the inclusion of T-score. Results: 239 women. Age 65 ± 10.35 years. BMI 29.68 ± 6.27kg/m2. Risk factors: 32(13.4%) previous fractures; 23 (9.6%) current smoking; 78 (32.6%) corticosteroids use; 44 (18.4%) rheumatoid arthritis; 38 (15.9%) secondary causes; FRAX scores were higher when BD was not included. Spearman correlation coefficients between FRAX BDNI and FRAX BDI for major fractures r = 0.793 (95% CI 0.7388‒0.836). For hip fractures r = 0.6922 (95% CI 0.6174‒0.75446) Conclusion: Using FRAX to estimate 10-year fracture risk without BD data might be a reliable tool for screening, even for patients with a high prevalence of risk factors, improving accessibility and equity in health systems. The present study’s data suggest an overestimation of fracture risk with FRAX BDNI, suggesting that it is safe to be widely used as a screening tool.

A rede fornece dados sobre mais de 200.000 espécies, das quais mais de 110.000 ocorrem no Brasil. Este artigo descreve as redes temáticas do speciesLink, bem como algumas das ferramentas mais úteis desenvolvidas. A importância e as contribuições do speciesLink são destacadas, assim como as preocupações em garantir um apoio financeiro estável para e-infraestruturas de dados sobre biodiversidade. Aqui revisamos o valor do speciesLink como uma das principais fontes de informação sobre biodiversidade para pesquisa, educação, tomada de decisão, desenvolvimento de políticas e bioeconomia.

Abstract speciesLink is a large-scale biodiversity information portal that exists thanks to a broad collaborative network of people and institutions. CRIA’s involvement with the scientific community of Brazil and other countries is responsible for the significant results achieved, currently reaching more than 15 million primary biodiversity data records, 95% of which are associated with preserved specimens and about 25% with high-quality digital images. The network provides data on over 200,000 species, of which over 110,000 occur in Brazil. This article describes thematic networks within speciesLink, as well as some of the most useful tools developed. The importance and contributions of speciesLink are outlined, as are concerns about securing stable budgetary support for such biodiversity data e-infrastructures. Here we review the value of speciesLink as a major source of biodiversity information for research, education, informed decision-making, policy development, and bioeconomy.

Resumo O glifosato é um herbicida popularmente usado em todo o mundo, vários estudos estão considerando-o como um risco ambiental e como afetando a saúde humana. O presente estudo teve como objetivo detectar o glifosato em seis diferentes reservatórios das bacias dos rios Paraíba do Sul e Guandu, no sudeste do Brasil, utilizados para diversos fins, incluindo atividades pesqueiras e abastecimento doméstico. A cromatografia iônica foi a técnica escolhida para analisar glifosato nas amostras de água como uma técnica rápida e ecologicamente amigável. Nossos resultados revelaram que, apesar das diferenças relacionadas ao estado trófico, estação do ano ou distância das áreas urbanas, glifosato foi detectado em todos os reservatórios e em três deles com concentrações acima do limite imposto pela legislação brasileira. Dentre as variáveis ambientais estudadas, a turbidez foi a que apresentou maior correlação com as concentrações de glifosato. O efeito das chuvas aumentando a turbidez nos rios reforça a importância do escoamento da água das áreas circundantes que transportam glifosato para os ecossistemas aquáticos. A detecção do herbicida nos diversos sistemas confirma o amplo uso desse composto nas bacias de drenagem dos reservatórios estudados e destaca a importância do monitoramento da água para este composto. Além disso, os resultados revelam quão urgente e importante é explorar, através de experimentos de laboratório, as vias de degradação desse herbicida em ambientes aquáticos tropicais e subtropicais, juntamente com seus efeitos na flora e fauna.

Abstract Glyphosate is a popular herbicide used worldwide, and several studies consider it to be an environmental hazard affecting human health. The present study aimed to detect glyphosate in six different reservoirs of Paraíba do Sul and Guandu River Basins in Southeast Brazil, used for multiple purposes, including fishery activities and domestic water supply. Ion chromatography was used to analyze the water samples, as it is a fast and environmentally friendly technique to detect glyphosate. Our results revealed that, despite differences related to trophic state, season of the year or distance to urban areas, glyphosate was detected in all reservoirs and in three of them with concentrations above the limit imposed by Brazilian legislation. Among the environmental variables studied, turbidity presented the highest correlation with glyphosate concentrations. The effect of rainfall increasing turbidity in the rivers reinforces the importance of draining waters from surrounding areas that transport glyphosate into the aquatic ecosystems. The detection of the herbicide in the various systems confirms the wide use of this compound in the drainage basins of the studied reservoirs and highlights the importance of water monitoring. Further, the results reveal how urgent and important it is to explore through laboratory experiments the pathways of degradation of this herbicide in tropical and subtropical aquatic environments together with its effects on flora and fauna.

Abstract The study aimed to analyze the honey of Melipona subnitida to identify the plants visited by these bees in colonies installed in a restinga vegetation in Maranhão state. Honey was collected monthly from July/2017 to June/2018. The honey samples were submitted to the acetolysis method and the pollen grains were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The pollen analysis of honey resulted in 54 pollen types and 26 families. The largest pollen variety was registered in Fabaceae. Quantitative analyzes of pollen grains in honey samples revealed that three were monofloral, in July/2017 with Avicennia germinans honey and December/2017 and January/2018 with Copaifera martii honey. In the other months, the heterofloral honeys. Melipona subnitida proved to be general in food gathering. Knowing the flora used by M. subnita contributes to the meliponiculturists to improve the handling of the colonies, the increase and quality in the production of honey.

RESUMO O presente trabalho tem como objetivo descrever o delineamento amostral e os métodos utilizados na série “Flora de algas perifíticas da bacia do baixo rio Doce, após a passagem de rejeitos de minério, Estado do Espírito Santo, Brasil”. Esta série apresentará a biodiversidade de algas perifíticas registradas durante o Programa de Monitoramento da Biodiversidade Aquática, Área Ambiental I, realizado na bacia do baixo rio Doce três anos após a passagem do rejeito de minério da barragem de Fundão, Mariana, Estado de Minas Gerais. Foram coletadas mensalmente mensalmente, entre outubro/2018 e fevereiro/2020, amostras da comunidade perifítica em cinco estações amostrais em ambientes lóticos e sete em ambientes lênticos da bacia. Essas amostras foram fixadas e os táxons serão identificados e descritos, seguindo métodos específicos. Esses táxons serão apresentados em fascículos sequenciais, divididos de acordo com sua classificação taxonômica e morfológica. Mais de 900 táxons foram registrados no levantamento. Este é o primeiro trabalho taxonômico sobre algas continentais realizado na bacia do baixo rio Doce.

ABSTRACT The present work aims to describe the sampling design and the methods used in the series “Periphytic algal flora of the Lower Doce River basin (Espírito Santo State, Brazil) after ore tailings flow”. This series will present the biodiversity of periphytic algae registered during the Aquatic Biodiversity Monitoring Program, Environmental Area I, carried out in the Lower Doce River basin three years after the passage of the ore tailings from Fundão dam (Mariana, Minas Gerais). Samples from the periphytic community were collected monthly, between October/2018 and February/2020, at five sampling stations in lotic environments and seven in lentic environments of the basin. These samples were fixed and the taxa will be identified and described, following specific methods. These taxa will be presented in sequential fascicles, split according to their taxonomic and morphological classification. More than 900 taxa have been recorded in this survey. This is the first taxonomic study about inland algae carried out in the Lower Doce River basin.

Resumo Banisteriopsis é um dos gêneros de Malpighiaceae mais diversificados em território brasileiro com ca. 45 espécies. Após seis anos de coletas em campo e análises de materiais herborizados foi possível reconhecer oito espécies de Banisteriopsis para o estado do Espírito Santo. Apresentamos descrições morfológicas, chave de identificação, ilustrações, mapas de distribuição e comentários sobre distribuição, ecologia, fenologia e taxonomia de todas as espécies.

Abstract Banisteriopsis is one of the most diversified genera of Malpighiaceae within the Brazilian territory with ca. 45 species. After six years of field trips and herbaria studies, it was possible to recognize eight species of Banisteriopsis in the state of Espírito Santo. We present morphological descriptions, an identification key, illustrations, distribution maps and comments on distribution, ecology, phenology and taxonomy of all species.

Abstract Beekeeping is affected by adverse climatic conditions and availability of floral resources. This study aimed to survey and characterize the flora in São João do Piauí, a semi-arid region in Piauí, Brazil, and to identify species providing resources to bees. Flowering plants were observed for 18 months, and records were taken of flowering date, growth habit, visitation and resources collected by bees. Melissopalinological analysis of honey produced in the area was performed. A total of 67 flowering plant species were recorded, of which 49 were considered as bee plants, with a predominance of herbs and shrubs. The low rainfall reduces the number of flowering species, which makes important the conservation and multiplication of species which bloom in dry season, such as Ipomoea glabra, Myracrodruon urundeuva, Sida cordifolia and Ziziphus joazeiro, as well as species that contribute to honey production such as Mimosa tenuiflora, Mesosphaerum suaveolens and Croton sonderianus.

ABSTRACT: Inflammatory intestinal diseases are characterized by disharmony of the bacterial flora of the intestine. These changes are characterized as a public health problem demonstrating that the main causes of diseases are associated with inadequate nutrition and, as a consequence, changes in the oral mucosa. The developed countries are currently defining strategies for the control of these diseases, having as one of the public strategies to promote healthy eating. In this context, the objective of this study was to evaluate the Brazilian legislation in force regarding the professional dietitian to elaborate and follow the menu of school feeding, according to Federal Law No. 8,234, dated September 17, 1991, and the Resolution of the Federal Council of Nutritionists - CFN n ° 380/2005. It was carried out the survey of the Laws that establish a cadre of nutrition professionals in the public schools of the main Brazilian cities in the competent bodies. The results show that few States and Municipalities address this theme, among them the State of Rio de Janeiro, the State of São Paulo, the city of Ribeirão Preto, the city of Florianópolis, the city of Belém, the State of Santa Catarina, State of Paraná, the Federal District and the State of Ceará have already regulated the matter, as well as Law 13,666 / 2018, which amends Law 9,394 / 16. The authors conclude that besides knowing the characteristics of the oral manifestations of these patients, a multidisciplinary knowledge of the dental surgeon is essential, creating opportunities for early diagnosis, as well as the prevention and promotion of oral health.

RESUMEN: Las enfermedades gastrointestinales inflamatorias se caracterizan por la desarmonía de la flora bacteriana del intestino. Estos cambios se caracterizan como un problema de salud pública que demuestra que las principales causas de las enfermedades están asociadas a la alimentación inadecuada y, como consecuencia de cambios en la mucosa oral. Los países desarrollados están actualmente definiendo estrategias para el control de esas enfermedades, teniendo como una de las estrategias públicas para la promoción de la alimentación sana. En este contexto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la legislación brasileña vigente en cuanto al cuadro de profesional nutricionista para elaborar y acompañar el menú de la alimentación escolar, conforme prevé la Ley Federal nº 8.234, de 17 de septiembre de 1991, y la Resolución del Consejo Federal de Nutricionistas - CFN n ° 380/2005. Se realizó el levantamiento de las Leyes que establecen un cuadro de profesionales nutricionistas en las escuelas públicas de las principales ciudades brasileñas en los órganos competentes. Los resultados muestran que pocos Estados y Municipios abordan ese tema, entre ellos el Estado de Río de Janeiro, el Estado de São Paulo, la ciudad de Ribeirão Preto, la ciudad de Florianópolis, la ciudad de Belém, el Estado de Santa Catarina, El Estado de Paraná, el Distrito Federal y el Estado de Ceará ya regularon la materia, así como la Ley nº 13.666 / 2018 que modifica la Ley nº 9.394 / 16. Los autores concluyen que además de conocer las pecurialidades de las manifestaciones orales de estos pacientes es imprescindible el conocimiento multidisciplinario del cirujano dentista, creando no sólo oportunidades de diagnóstico precoz, sino también la prevención y promoción de la salud oral.

ABSTRACT Initiatives directed at managing information on aquatic plants can support different areas of scientific research, educational practices and political decisions for sustainable management and protection of wetlands and natural resources, as well as reveal knowledge gaps regarding aquatic plants and wetlands. Furthermore, such initiatives can contribute directly to consolidating wetland classification systems in Brazil. The objectives of this work are to present and explore the use of a data repository and online platform created specifically for the management of data on aquatic plants in Brazil. The data repository for aquatic plants was developed to store information on species occurrence records in a standardized form considering: systematics, taxonomy, habit, life form, geographic distribution, hydrographic basin, wetland, bibliographic references and herbarium material. A total of 3,903 records referring to the Southeast Region of Brazil were generated for the data repository. This total encompassed 1,036 species distributed among 132 families and 466 genera. Our results illustrate the diversity of information available regarding aquatic plants, circumscribe this group of species and serve as a source of data about them. Similar databases and electronic infrastructures can be developed for other flora in the future.

Resumo Neste trabalho é apresentado o levantamento dos representantes de Solanum (Solanaceae) como parte do projeto “Flora do Ceará”. Estudos morfológicos, coletas e observações de campo foram realizados. As identificações foram baseadas em bibliografia especializada, complementada pela análise de coleções de herbários nacionais e internacionais, incluindo espécimes-tipo. No Ceará, Solanum está representado por 31 espécies, das quais 26 ocorrem em Unidades de Conservação, e dez táxons são novos registros. Chave de identificação, comentários, ilustrações e imagens das espécies são fornecidas.

Abstract This work presents a survey of Solanum (Solanaceae), as part of the project “Flora of Ceará”. Morphological studies, collections and field observations were performed. Identifications were based on specialized bibliography, complemented by the analysis of collections of brazilian and international herbaria including types specimens. In Ceará Solanum is represented by 31 species, 26 of which occur in protected areas, and ten taxa are new records. Identification key, comments, illustrations and images of the species are provided.

Resumo Pontederiaceae está representada no estado do Ceará por 10 espécies, distribuídas em quatro gêneros: Eichhornia, Heteranthera, Hydrothrix e Pontederia. O gênero Eichhornia foi o mais representativo com cinco espécies: E. crassipes. E. diversifolia, E. heterosperma, E. paniculata e, pela primeira vez, E. paradoxa está citada para o estado. O segundo gênero em número de espécies foi Heteranthera, com três espécies: H. oblongifolia, H. rotundifolia e H. seubertiana. Os gêneros Hydrothrix e Pontederia encontram-se representados, cada um, por apenas uma espécie: Hydrothrix gardneri e Pontederia parviflora. As espécies predominam em ambientes aquáticos temporários, porém as espécies submersas (Heteranthera seubertiana e Hydrothrix gardneri) são mais comuns em riachos e rios perenes. Incluem-se neste estudo, chaves de identificação dos táxons, breves descrições das espécies, mapa da distribuição geográfica e ilustrações.

Abstract Pontederiaceae is represented in Ceará state by 10 species, distributed in four genera: Eichhornia, Heteranthera, Hydrothrix and Pontederia. The genus Eichhornia was the most represented with five species: E. crassipes, E. diversifolia, E. heterosperma, E. paniculata and, for the first time cited to Ceará, E. paradoxa. The second genus in species number was Heteranthera, with three species: H. oblongifolia, H. rotunfdifolia and H. seubertiana. Hydrothrix and Pontederia are represented just by one species each: Hydrothrix gardneri and Pontederia parviflora. The species predominate in temporary aquatic environments; however, the submerged species (Heteranthera seubertiana and Hydrothix gardneri) are more common in perennial streams. Identification keys, species descriptions, maps of species distributions and illustrations are included.

ABSTRACT Fabaceae is one of the largest families of ethnopharmacological importance. From this botanical group, important chemical constituents that act in the treatment and/or healing of various bodily systems arise. The objective of this study was to evaluate the most versatile Fabaceae species and the agreement of use among the informants, in the Chapada do Araripe Savanna. The research included five rural communities located in the municipalities of Nova Olinda, Crato, Barbalha, Moreilândia and Exu, covering the states of Ceará and Pernambuco. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 126 informants, adopting the snowball technique and using a standardized form. The relative importance and the Informant Consensus Factor were analyzed for the selection of species with therapeutic potential. Twenty-six medicinal species, distributed across 22 genera, were associated with seventy therapeutic purposes. As for the habitat of the species, the arboreal habitat predominated (76.92%). In relation to the plant parts, the bark (28.57%) and stem inner bark (26.53%) were the most used structures. Among the species, four showed great versatility in relation to their uses, with relative importance (RI>1), these being: Copaifera langsdorffii Desf. (1.70), Stryphnodendron rotundifolium Mart. (1.52), Bowdichia virgiloides Kunth (1.10) and Amburana cearenses (Allemand) A. C. Sm. (1.02). These species had eight to thirty curative properties and ranged from five to twelve body systems. The therapeutic indications cited were grouped into sixteen categories of body systems, of which Sensory System Disorders and Mental and Behavioral Diseases presented maximum values for the Informant Consensus Factor. For the Sexual Impotence category there was no agreement, whereas for the remaining systems the Informant Consensus Factor ranged from 0.33 to 0.91. The study evidences that the information of use and/or knowledge are shared among the people within the community, proving the great importance of Fabaceae in the use of medicinal plants.

Resumo Catopsis está representado por 19 espécies distribuídas entre as três Américas. No Brasil, são citadas duas espécies, Catopsis berteroniana encontada nas regiões Nordeste, Sudeste e Região Sul e Catopsis sessiliflora, com uma abrangência mais ampla, encontrada também na Região Norte. Morfologicamente, o gênero diferenciase na subfamília Tillandsioideae pela presença de apêndices apenas no ápice das sementes. Neste trabalho foram realizados o estudo taxonômico e morfoanatômico das espécies de Catopsis no estado do Paraná. Para isso, foram realizadas expedições botânicas de Jul/2013-Jun/2014 e visitas aos herbários HUPG, MBM e UPCB. Os exemplares coletados foram identificados e herborizados, e as exsicatas depositadas no HUPG. Para o estudo morfoanatômico foram confeccionadas lâminas semipermanentes da região mediana da bainha e da folha a partir de secções transversais e longitudinais obtidas a mão livre e montadas em gelatina glicerinada, ainda, foram desidratadas porções da folha e da bainha para observação em Microscopia Eletrônica de Varredura. Como resultados, são apresentadas descrições morfológicas, período de floração e frutificação, chaves de identificação, mapa de distribuição geográfica, classificação ecofisiológica, comentários sobre a morfologia e anatomia das espécies, ilustrações e o status de conservação dos táxons estudados.

Abstract Catopsis is represented by 19 species distributed among the three Americas. Two species occurs in Brazil, Catopsis berteroniana distributed in Northeast, Southeast and South region and Catopsis sessiliflora, with a broadly distribution, also found in the North. The aim of this work was to perform a taxonomic and morphoanatomic study of the species of Catopsis occuring in Paraná state. In order to do so, botanical expeditions occurred during the periods of Jul/2013-Jun/2014 just as the visits to HUPG, MBM and UPCB herbarium. The collected specimens were identified, herborized, and deposited in the HUPG herbarium. For the morphoanatomic study semi-permanent slides were prepared from the middle region of the sheath and leaf from transverse and longitudinal sections obtained free hand and mounted in glycerinated gelatin. For Scanning Electron Microscopy analysis portions of leaf blade and sheath were dehydrated for observation. As results, we provide descriptions, period of flowering and fruiting, identification keys, geographic distribution, the ecophysiological rating, morphology and anatomy comments, and conservation status of the species.

Resumo O presente trabalho consiste do tratamento taxonômico de Borreria para a flora do Ceará. A partir de observações de campo e análise de materiais de herbário foram registradas 11 espécies: Borreria apodiensis, B. brownii, B. capitata, B. cupularis, B. latifolia, B. ocymifolia, B. scabiosoides, B. spinosa, B. tenella, B. verticillata e B. virgata. A maioria das espécies habita a vegetação de Caatinga e nove estão em Unidades de Conservação Ambiental. B. brownii, B. spinosa e B. verticillata são amplamente distribuídas nas unidades fitoecológicas do estado. Quatro espécies apresentam ocorrência mais restrita no Ceará: B. capitata e B. cupularis (na Chapada do Araripe), B. tenella (na Serra de Ubatuba e áreas adjacentes) e B. virgata (no Planalto da Ibiapaba). B. apodiensis é endêmica do Brasil, com distribuição restrita à Chapada do Apodi. Chave de identificação, descrições, imagens, dados de distribuição geográfica e habitat são apresentados.

Abstract This work comprises the taxonomic treatment of genus Borreria for the Ceará flora. Based on field observations and herbaria specimens, eleven species were recorded: Borreria apodiensis, B. brownii, B. capitata, B. cupularis, B. latifolia, B. ocymifolia, B. scabiosoides, B. spinosa, B. tenella, B. verticillata and B. virgata. Most species occur in Caatinga vegetation and nine were registered in environmental conservation units. B. brownii, B. spinosa and B. verticillata are widely spread throughout the phytoecological units of the state. Four species have a more restricted occurrence in Ceará: B. capitata and B. cupularis (in the Araripe Plateau), B. tenella (in the Ubatuba Mountains and adjacent areas) and B. virgata (in the Ibiapaba Plateau). On the other hand, B. apodiensis is a endemic species to the Brazil, that is restricted to Chapada do Apodi. An identification key, descriptions, images, geographic distribution and habitat of the species are provided.
