Resumo O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a composição florística e estrutural em um trecho de floresta secundária, no município de Dona Francisca - RS. Foram instaladas 50 parcelas permanentes de dimensão 10 x 20 m, de modo sistemático, distanciadas 10 m entre si e 40 m entre faixas, totalizando 1 ha. Foram amostrados todos os indivíduos que apresentassem CAP ≥ 15,7 cm e calculado os estimadores fitossociológicos. Foi realizada a curva de acumulação de espécie para verificar a suficiência amostral. Para o cálculo de diversidade e dominância, utilizou-se o Índice de Shannon (H’) e Equabilidade de Pielou (J’). Para a riqueza potencial utilizaram-se os estimadores não paramétricos Jackknife. Avaliou-se a composição florística e estrutural por meio da Análise de Correspondência Distendida (DCA). Verificou-se, também, a distribuição diamétrica e hipsométrica da comunidade arbórea, e para as espécies, com valor de importância acima de 5 %, a distribuição em classes de DAP. As análises estatísticas foram realizadas no programa R. Foram identificadas 65 espécies arbóreas e arbustivas com 2.045 indivíduos distribuídas em 31 famílias botânicas. As espécies com valor de importância acima de 5% foram Casearia sylvestris (14,04%), Nectandra lanceolata (12,86 %), Cupania vernalis (9,57 %), Guarea macrophylla (7,29 %) e Ocotea puberula (5,07 %). Os valores para a diversidade e dominância foram, respectivamente, de 2,91 nats.ind-1 e 0,69, indicando que a área possui baixa diversidade e dominância de poucas espécies. Pela DCA é possível verificar que as parcelas estão distribuídas homogeneamente no trecho florestal. A distribuição diamétrica representou o esperado para a comunidade arbórea com tendência ao J-invertido e a maioria das árvores apresentou altura concentrada no estrato intermediário da floresta. Das cinco espécies analisadas, apenas Nectandra lanceolata e Ocotea puberula não apresentaram curva exponencial negativa. Foi possível observar que há um predomínio de indivíduos nas primeiras classes de DAP e altura, o que caracteriza a resiliência da área após distúrbio. Ainda, indica as flutuações e estabilidade das espécies, na sucessão ecológica, de uma floresta em estágio intermediário de regeneração.

Abstract The objective of the study was to evaluate the floristic and structural composition of an area located in a section of secondary Forest, in the municipality of Dona Francisca, RS state. To do so, 50 permanent plots with a dimension of 10 x 20 m (200 m2) were installed in a systematic way, 10 m apart and 40 m between tracks, totaling 1 ha. All individuals with CAP ≥ 15.7 cm were identified and sampled and the phytosociological estimators were calculated. The species accumulation curve was used to verify the sample adequacy. For the calculation of diversity and dominance estimators, the Shannon Index (H ‘) and Pielou Equability (J’) were used. Subsequently, the floristic and structural composition was evaluated through the Distributed Correspondence Analysis (DCA). It was also verified the diameter and histopic distribution of the tree community, and for the species, with importance value above 5%, the distribution in classes of DAP. Statistical analyzes were performed in the R program. 65 tree and shrub species were identified with 2,045 individuals distributed in 31 botanical families. The species with a value of importance above 5% were Casearia sylvestris (14, 04 %), Nectandra lanceolata (12, 86 %), Cupania vernalis (9, 57 %), Guarea macrophylla (7,29 %) and Ocotea puberula (5.07 %). The values for diversity and dominance were, respectively, 2.91 nats.ind-1 and 0.69, indicating that the area has low diversity and dominance of few species and that by DCA it is possible to verify that the plots are homogeneously distributed in the forest. The diameter distribution represented the expected behavior for the arboreal community with J-inverted tendency and the majority of the trees presented height concentrated in the middle stratum of the forest. Only Nectandra lanceolata and Ocotea puberula did not present negative exponential curve from the five species analyzed. It was possible to observe the mosaic of tree species distributed in the forest section. In addition, there is a predominance of individuals in the first classes of DBH and height, which characterizes the resilience of the area after the disturbance and its capacity for natural recovery. It also indicates the fluctuations and stability of species in ecological succession of a forest in an intermediate stage of regeneration.

A divergência genética é um dos mais importantes parâmetros avaliados por melhoristas de plantas, na fase inicial de um programa de melhoramento genético. Diante disso, objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar, por meio de técnicas multivariadas, a divergência genética entre 48 genótipos de soja, cultivados em várzea irrigada no Estado do Tocantins, com o intuito de identificar as combinações mais promissoras para produzir recombinações superiores, tanto destinados a produção de óleo e farelo, como do grupo especial, destinados ao consumo humano. O experimento foi conduzido no município de Formoso do Araguaia, TO, em cultivo de várzea irrigada na entressafra de 2010. O delineamento experimental foi o de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições. Verificou-se variabilidade entre os genótipos testados. Os resultados dos métodos de agrupamento de Tocher, UPGMA e Variáveis Canônicas foram concordantes entre si e detectaram quatro grupos distintos. As seguintes hibridações são promissoras para produção de grãos de soja destinados a óleo e farelo: M-Soy 8766, M-Soy 9144, A 7002 e M-Soy 9056 com Amaralina e cruzamentos entre M-Soy 8766, M-Soy 9144 e Amaralina com BRSMG 790A, BRS 257, BRS 216 e BRS 213 e são indicados visando a genótipos de soja especiais para alimentação humana.

The genetic diversity is one of the most important parameters evaluated by plant breeders in the early stages of a genetic improvement program. The objective of this paper was to evaluate the genetic divergence by means of multivariate techniques, among 48 soybean genotypes grown in irrigated lowland in the State of Tocantins, in order to select parents of hybrids for the production of oil and meal, as well as varieties of the panel, intended for human consumption. The experiment was conducted in the county Formoso do Araguaia - Tocantins, Brazil, in the cultivation of irrigated lowland, in the inter-cropping 2010. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications. There was observed variability among the genotype tested. The Tocher's method, UPGMA and Canonic Variables agreed among themselves, and found four distinct groups. The following hybrids are promising for the production of soybean oil and meal for the M-Soy 8766, M-Soy 9144, A-7002 and M-soy 9056 with Amaralina RR crosses between and M-Soy 8766, M-Soy 9144 and Amaralina RR with BRSMG 790A, BRS 257, BRS 216 and BRS 213, are listed in order especially soybeans for human consumption.

Este artigo investiga a percepção e a forma de organização espacial em duas comunidades camponesas localizadas no estado de Mato Grosso. A partir da memória oral, da história de ocupação e domínio territorial dessas comunidades, verificou-se que, de modo geral, a organização espacial dessas comunidades resulta da influência de três elementos: da relação de parentesco; da influência das instituições sociais na comunidade e da presença ou ausência dos aspectos naturais.

This article investigates the perception and shape of spatial organization in two peasant communities located in the state of Mato Grosso. From the oral memory, the history of occupation and territorial dominion of these communities, it was verified that, in a general way, the spatial organization of these communities is a result of three elements: kinship relationship, the influence of social institutions in the community and the presence or absence of the natural aspects.

Este artículo investiga la percepción de la forma de organización espacial en dos comunidades campesinas localizadas en el estado de Mato Grosso, Brasil. A partir de la memoria oral y de la historia de ocupación y dominio territorial de esas comunidades, se ha verificado que, en general, la organización espacial de las mismas es resultado de la influencia de tres elementos: la relación de parentesco, la influencia de las instituciones sociales en la comunidad y la presencia o ausencia de los aspectos naturales.

Cet article enquête la perception et la forme d'organisation spatiale dans deux communautés rurales situées dans l'État du Mato Grosso. À partir de la mémoire orale, de l'histoire de l'occupation et de la domination territoriale de ces communautés, on a constaté que, en général, l'organisation spatiale de ces communautés résulte de l'influence de trois éléments : du rapport familial ; de l'influence des institutions sociales dans la communauté et de la présence ou absence des aspects naturels.

In this work we describe the cytogenetic analyses performed in specimens of Astylus variegatus (Germar, 1824) collected in two localities: one area of natural vegetation and one of agricultural crops, where agrochemical products were used. Astylus variegatus had karyotypes with 2n(male) = 16+Xy p and 2n (female) = 16+XXp, with exclusively metacentric chromosomes. Pachytene spermatocytes showed synapsed autosomal bivalents and non-associated sex chromosomes. In diplotene, the autosomal bivalents exhibited one or two terminal chiasmata and the Xy p had a typical parachute configuration. In meiotic cells of some specimens, an extra chromosome, interpreted as a B chromosome, was observed. C-banding showed constitutive heterochromatin in the pericentromeric region of all chromosomes, with the exception of the y p. Silver nitrate staining revealed one nucleolus organizer region (NOR) on the terminal region of the short arm of the second autosome pair. Silver staining of meiotic cells confirmed the NOR pattern detected in mitotic cells and revealed an argentophilous material on the Xy p. A cytogenetic comparison between the two populations of A. variegatus showed a statistically significant divergence (chi2 = 117.10; df = 1) in the number of aneuploid cells and a higher frequency of B chromosome in the population exposed to agrochemicals.

Foi desenvolvido um método simples e eficiente para a síntese de beta-estirenos alfa-fenilseleno-substituídos, através da reação do alfa-(fenilselenobenzil)fosfonato de dietila e NaH na presença de aldeídos. A reação destes produtos com n-BuLi e posterior captura do ânion com aldeídos ou DMF levou à formação, exclusivamente, de álcoois de configuração Z e aldeídos <FONT FACE=Symbol>a,b</FONT>-insaturados de configuração E, respectivamente. Além disto, a hidrólise dos selenetos na presença de TiCl4 levou à formação de alfa-arilacetofenonas em bons rendimentos.

A new and efficient method was developed to prepare alpha-phenylseleno-beta-substituted styrenes by reaction of diethyl alpha-phenylseleno benzylphosphonate with NaH and aldehydes. Selenium-lithium exchange by reaction with n-BuLi yielded the vinyl lithium species, which were captured with several electrophiles, like aldehydes and DMF, affording exclusively (Z)-allyl alcohols, and (E)-alpha-phenyl-alpha-beta-unsaturated aldehydes, respectively in good yields. The hydrolysis of the vinyl selenides in presence of TiCl4 allowed the corresponding alpha-aryl acetophenones.

Um método simples e eficiente foi desenvolvido para a síntese de alfa-fenilselenoacrilonitrilas e ésteres alfa-fenilseleno-alfa,beta-insaturados através, respectivamente, da reação one-pot de aldeídos com fenilselenoacetonitrila ou acetato de (fenilseleno)etila na presença de um catalisador em suporte sólido (KF/Al2O3), sem o uso de solvente.

A simple, clean and efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of alpha-phenylselenoacrylonitriles and alpha-phenylseleno-alpha,beta-unsaturated esters by a one-pot reaction of aldehydes with phenylselenoacetonitrile or ethyl(phenylseleno)acetate respectively, in the presence of a solid supported catalyst (KF/Al2O3), without any solvent.
