Resumo A contribuição do trabalho dos ACS tem sido apontada como estratégica para superação do modelo biomédico de produção de saúde. No entanto, fragilidades na delimitação dessa profissão impõem contradições e impedimentos a esse trabalho, dificultando a construção do mundo profissional dos ACS. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as tarefas realizadas pelos ACS no intuito de revelar objeto, valores e ferramentas usadas por esses trabalhadores que ajudem na consolidação do seu mundo profissional. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa norteada pelos princípios da Ergonomia da Atividade, que contou com análise documental, observações sistemáticas e entrevistas. Os resultados demonstraram que em virtude de distintas e inúmeras atividades executadas pelos ACS, o mundo profissional desses trabalhadores não está plenamente delineado. Contudo, acredita-se que o resultado, análise e discussão dos dados apurados nesta pesquisa são capazes de apontar elementos que servem para apoiar a consolidação do mundo profissional dos ACS.

Abstract The contribution of community health agents (CHAs) is strategic for overcoming the biomedical health model. However, weaknesses in defining the specific roles of this profession impose contradictions and impediments to this work, making it difficult to construct the professional world of CHAs. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the tasks performed by the CHAs to reveal the objects, values, and tools, used by these workers to help consolidate their professional world. This study is a qualitative research study guided by the principles of activity ergonomics that include documentary analysis, systematic observations, and interviews. The results showed that due to the myriad of activities performed by the CHAs, the professional world of these workers is not fully delineated. However, it is believed that the results, analysis, and discussion of the data verified in this research, can support the consolidation of the professional world of the CHAs.

RESUMO OBJETIVO Sistematizar e analisar evidências levantadas por estudos de natureza qualitativa que abordam a percepção do ACS sobre seu trabalho. MÉTODOS Revisão sistemática, tipo metassíntese, sobre o trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde, realizada a partir da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde utilizando os descritores “Agente Comunitário de Saúde” e “Trabalho”. A estratégia foi construída cruzando descritores, usando o operador booleano “AND”, e filtrando artigos brasileiros, publicados de 2004 a 2014, resultando em 129 artigos identificados. Foram excluídos artigos de pesquisas quantitativas ou quanti-qualitativas, ensaios, debates, revisões da literatura, relatos de experiências e pesquisas que não incluíram os ACS como sujeitos. Aplicando esses critérios, foram selecionados e analisados 33 estudos que possibilitaram: identificação de temas comuns e diferenças entre eles; agrupamento de principais conclusões; classificação de temas e interpretação de conteúdo. RESULTADOS A análise resultou em três unidades temáticas: Características do trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde; Problemas relacionados ao trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde; Aspectos positivos do trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde. Sobre as características, evidenciou-se que o trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde é permeado pelas dimensões política e social do trabalho em saúde com uso predominante de tecnologias leves, tendo como principal insumo o conhecimento que esse profissional obtém junto às famílias, sendo a visita domiciliar o palco para o desenvolvimento desse contato. Sobre os problemas no trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde, foram identificados: falta de limites em suas atribuições; condições precárias; obstáculos na relação com a comunidade e equipes; fragilidade na formação profissional e burocratização. Os aspectos positivos identificados foram: reconhecimento do trabalho pelas famílias e resolutividade, formação de vínculo, trabalho junto aos pares e perto da residência. CONCLUSÕES Essa revisão teceu um panorama sobre as dificuldades e aspectos positivos que se apresentam no cotidiano de trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde. Frente a isso, levantou dois desafios. O primeiro se refere à necessidade de apropriação dos resultados das pesquisas pelos formuladores de políticas públicas e, o segundo, à necessidade de investimento em estudos que se voltem para engendrar soluções para as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos agentes comunitários de saúde no seu trabalho.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To systematize and analyze the evidence from qualitative studies that address the perception of Brazilian Community Health Agents about their work. METHODS This is a systematic review of the meta-synthesis type on the work of community health agents, carried out from the Virtual Health Library using the descriptors “Agente Comunitário de Saúde” and “Trabalho”, in Portuguese. The strategy was constructed by crossing descriptors, using the Boolean operator “AND”, and filtering Brazilian articles, published from 2004 to 2014, which resulted in 129 identified articles. We removed quantitative or quanti-qualitative research articles, essays, debates, literature reviews, reports of experiences, and research that did not include Brazilian Community Health Agents as subjects. Using these criteria, we selected and analyzed 33 studies that allowed us to identify common subjects and differences between them, to group the main conclusions, to classify subjects, and to interpret the content. RESULTS The analysis resulted in three thematic units: characteristics of the work of community health agents, problems related to the work of community health agents, and positive aspects of the work of community health agents. On the characteristics, we could see that the work of the community health agents is permeated by the political and social dimensions of the health work with predominant use of light technologies. The main input is the knowledge that this professional obtains with the contact with families, which is developed with home visits. On the problems in the work of community health agents, we could identify the lack of limits in their attributions, poor conditions, obstacles in the relationship with the community and teams, weak professional training, and bureaucracy. The positive aspects we identified were the recognition of the work by families, resolution, bonding, work with peers, and work close to home. CONCLUSIONS This review provided an overview of the difficulties and positive aspects that are present in the daily work of community health agents. Given this, we have raised two challenges. The first one refers to how public policy makers need to appropriation the research results and the second one refers to the need to invest in studies that are designed to generate solutions for the difficulties faced by community health agents in their work.

Resumo Introdução: plataformas offshore enfrentam crescentes demandas de manutenção, com um quantitativo fixo de trabalhadores. Com o tempo, ocorre a degradação progressiva das instalações, sendo necessárias estratégias diferenciadas para recuperar a integridade operacional. Objetivo: apresentar como uma Metodologia de Diagnóstico Rápido (MDR) em ergonomia foi elaborada para avaliar um conjunto de plataformas e revisitar o conceito de Modo Degradado de Funcionamento, quanto a segurança e confiabilidade operacional. Método: a MDR foi construída em quatro etapas e aplicada em 12 plataformas. Para cada uma, foram retraçados os processos históricos de seu modo de operação atual. Resultados: esta MDR permitiu revelar princípios gerais para sistematizar situações que devem melhorar e compreender processos amplos, que levaram ao acúmulo de condições ergonomicamente inadequadas, e recuperar parte da experiência acumulada pelas equipes embarcadas. A chave foi a preparação para os embarques, baseada na experiência dos ergonomistas e dos trabalhadores onshore e offshore. Conclusão: diagnósticos rápidos podem contribuir para reverter processos crônicos de degradação ao revelarem a visão geral das condições de vida e trabalho a bordo, as trajetórias singulares das plataformas e a contribuição positiva dos trabalhadores, colocando em debate mudanças e ações necessárias à inflexão de um dado percurso.

Abstract Introduction: offshore platforms face increasing maintenance demands with fixed amount of workforce. Over time, the progressive deterioration of installations can be evidenced leading companies to adopt distinguished strategies to recover operational integrity. Objective: to present the development of a Rapid Ergonomics Diagnostic Methodology (REDM) to evaluate a group of platforms and revisit the concept of degraded mode of operation regarding safety and operational reliability. Method: the REDM was built in 4 stages and applied in 12 platforms of the studied company. For each one, the historical processes of its current operating mode were retraced. Results: this REDM allowed revealing general principles to systematize situations that should be improved, understanding broad processes that led to the accumulation of ergonomically inadequate conditions and recovering part of the experience accumulated by the embarked teams. The key was the preparation for shipments based on the ergonomics team and workers experience, both, onshore and offshore. Conclusion: REDMs can help to reverse chronic degradation processes by providing an overview of on boardwork and living conditions, the platforms’ unique trajectories and the positive workers’ contribution, discussing changes and necessary actions for a given route inflection.

Changes to architectural projects can be seen as an ongoing process from design concept to use. This paper analyses a particular phase of an architectural project, the start-up, which is characterized by the initial occupation of a workplace by users and the start-up of services. This paper aims to show that the experiences in this phase are unique and may make specific contributions to the design process. Analysis during the start-up phase may reveal experiences and users'needs that have not been met by designers, as well as inadequacies in the newly built space. This paper presents the results of a case study carried out in a sector of a hospital dedicated to patients with HIV. The analysis of the start-up of this newly constructed centre was performed using two methodologies: Post-Occupancy Evaluation and Ergonomic Work Analysis. The results suggest that ergonomic interventions in projects should encompass the start-up phase.

The possibility of using pre-defined ergonomic recommendations for projects offshore is related to several factors that encompass the hiring of a specialized ergonomic team to the design phase in which this team is involved in the context of the project. The main objective of this article is to test the usage and discuss the applicability of the Ergonomic Technical Recommendations (TRs), developed using the Ergonomic Work Analysis methodology. Although the TR files were considered overly long to read/become familiarised, the contextualization of the TRs through the configurations of use and the ergonomic study, or the "specialists", were fundamental in leading the ergonomic directives to being considered and implemented.

Este trabalho analisou a eficiência e a adequação dos Equipamentos de Proteção Individuais (EPIs) utilizados na manipulação e na aplicação de agrotóxicos nas agriculturas brasileira e francesa. Essa análise foi feita a partir de dois casos: o primeiro, na cultura de tomate numa pequena comunidade rural do Brasil e o segundo, numa vinicultura na França. As evidências encontradas mostraram que os EPIs utilizados em ambos os casos, além de não protegerem integralmente o trabalhador contra o agrotóxico, ainda agravaram os riscos e perigos, pois se tornaram fontes de contaminação. Conclui-se que, nos casos analisados, os EPIs não eliminaram nem neutralizaram a insalubridade, conforme estatui a legislação, e ainda aumentaram a probabilidade de contaminação dos trabalhadores rurais em algumas atividades. Discutiu-se, ainda, a possibilidade dos EPIs apresentarem lacunas funcionais no projeto, na concepção, no uso, na manutenção, no armazenamento e no descarte, que devem ser melhor avaliadas através de futuros estudos de desenvolvimento tecnológico.

This study has analyzed the efficiency and adequacy of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used when mixing and spraying pesticides in Brazilian and French farming. Analysis was based on two case studies: The first one, concerning a tomato crop located in a small rural community in the Southeast of Brazil; the second, a vineyard in France. The findings showed that PPE used in both cases has not protected properly against pesticide and has sometimes even turned into a source of contamination. The study concluded that PPE could not eliminate or neutralize unhealthy conditions related to pesticide use, as law demands. Moreover, in some cases, it might have caused rural workers' contamination. It also shows that PPE might not have been correctly planned, conceived, used, maintained, stored and disposed. Theses problems should be analyzed in further technological development studies.

O presente artigo apresenta a experiência de intervenção ergonômica na fase de construção do edifício do Centro Integrado de Controle (CIC) de uma indústria petroquímica brasileira, cujo projeto desenvolveu-se com a participação da equipe de ergonomia desde os estudos de base. Através de uma metodologia apoiada em reuniões semanais, envolvendo as diferentes equipes participantes deste projeto, conseguiu-se, especialmente, conduzir com sucesso a reconcepção do projeto -fato comum na etapa executiva de uma obra. Os principais fatores que motivaram esta reconcepção foram: a ausência de um projeto executivo; as condições de trabalho no canteiro de obras; a variação constante dos materiais disponíveis no mercado; a descontinuidade das equipes envolvidas; e as indefinições no plano de organização do trabalho.

This paper presents the experience of ergonomie intervention in tive construction phase oftlie Integrated Control Center of a Brazilian petrochemical industry. Vie project of this building was developed with tlie participation oftlie ergonomics team since the preliminary studies. By means of a methodology based in weekly meetings attend by tlie various teams taking part in this project, success was met, specially, in the conduction of the reconception of the project -a common situation in a building construction. Tlie main factors that led to this reconception were the absence of an executive project; the working conditions on tlie work-site; constant variation in materials available on the market; discontinuity of the teams involved and indefinition as to the organized work plan.
