ABSTRACT Purpose: To evaluate the modulatory properties of Calendula officinalis L. (Asteraceae) (C. officinalis) extract on cafeteria diet-fed rats. Methods: A cafeteria diet was administered ad libitum for 45 days to induce dyslipidemia. Then, the rats were treated with the formulations containing C. officinalis in the doses of 50, 100, and 150 mg/kg or only with the vehicle formulation; the control group received a commercial ration. Results: The cafeteria diet decreased glutathione S-transferase activity and high-density lipoprotein plasmatic levels and damaged the hepatic architecture. The C. officinalis extract was able to reduce lipid infiltration in liver tissue and to modulate oxidative stress and lipid profile markers. Conclusions: The correlations between the variables suggest a pathological connection between oxidative stress markers and serum lipid profile.

Abstract The year 1935 marks the beginning of women’s participation in the National Assembly. This is a historic milestone in the Portuguese society, as it gives voice to a group of the population that lived on the fringes of the public domain. It is in this context that, in 1945, the MP Virgínia Faria Gersão was elected, a high school teacher, who stood out for her active spirit and enthusiastic manner in advocating the cause of education. In this article, we intend to know and understand the context in which this MP moved, as well as to analyze her participation in the National Assembly during the IV Legislature, using archivist and bibliographic sources.

Resumo O ano de 1935 marca o início da participação da mulher na Assembleia Nacional. Trata-se de um marco histórico na sociedade portuguesa, pois dá-se voz a um grupo que vivia à margem do domínio público. É neste contexto que, em 1945, é eleita a deputada Virgínia Faria Gersão, que se destacou pelo seu espírito ativo e pela forma entusiasta como advogou a causa do ensino. No presente artigo, pretendemos conhecer e compreender o contexto em que esta deputada se movimentou, assim como analisar a sua participação na Assembleia Nacional durante a IV Legislatura, socorrendo-nos para tal de fontes arquivísticas e bibliográficas.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o documento inédito Como eu ensino o português na II classe dos Liceus, redigido em 1923, pela professora portuguesa Virgínia Faria Gersão (1896-1974), com o intuito de refletir sobre o ensino da língua materna nos liceus da época. Este estudo coloca em foco particularmente as temáticas da leitura e da redação, pelo papel fundamental que esses domínios têm no processo de aprendizagem. Pretende-se dar a conhecer a visão da autora acerca da leitura e da redação e as estratégias que propõe e aplica na sua prática de ensino. Trata-se de uma investigação assentada em uma metodologia histórica e hermenêutica, que se baseia em um confronto de diferentes tipos de fontes, nomeadamente as orientações programáticas e curriculares para a aprendizagem da língua portuguesa e o documento redigido pela professora, aquando da conclusão dos seus estudos na Escola Normal Superior da Universidade de Coimbra. Como resultado, este artigo propicia uma maior compreensão da formação dos professores na época em Portugal e do ensino do Português nos liceus, nos inícios do século XX. Paralelamente, permite-nos concluir que a prática de ensino de Virgínia Gersão se identifica com uma pedagogia inovadora, aproximando-se dos ideais da Escola Nova.

Abstract The aim of this article is to analyze the unpublished document Como eu ensino o português na II classe dos Liceus, written in 1923 by the Portuguese teacher Virgínia Faria Gersão (1896-1974), in order to reflect on the teaching of the mother tongue in high schools at that time. This study focuses on reading and writing competences, due to the fundamental role that these domains have in the learning process. The aim of this paper is to reveal the author’s vision of reading and writing and the strategies she proposes and applies in her teaching practice. This is an investigation based on a historical and hermeneutic methodology, which is based on a confrontation of different types of sources, namely the programmatic and curricular guidelines for the learning of the Portuguese language and the document written by the teacher at the end of her studies at the ‘Escola Normal Superior da Universidade de Coimbra’. As a result, this paper provides a greater understanding of teacher training at the time in Portugal and a greater understanding of the teaching of Portuguese in high schools in the early twentieth century. In parallel, it allows us to conclude that the teaching practice of Virgínia Gersão can be identified with an innovative approach to pedagogy, coming closer to the ideals of “The New School”.

Abstract: This study investigated the ability of formulation containing Zingiber officinale (ginger) to reverse health changes promoted by unhealthy diet in Wistar rats. Five compounds from the gingerol family and three from the shogaol family were identified in the chromatographic analyzes of the extract. The animals were fed a combination of unhealthy foods, the cafeteria diet, which promoted increases in body weight, hepatocyte nucleus area, total hepatocyte area and liver fat accumulation, as well as reduced hepatic glutathione S-transferase concentration, compared to the control group, which received commercial chow. The treatment with ginger improved all these results, highlighting the reduction of 10% of body weight and 66% of the total area of lipid droplets deposited, compared to the group that received the cafeteria diet. Ginger treatments also attenuated lipid peroxidation, with a mean reduction of 41% in malondialdehyde levels and a mean increase of 222% in glutathione S-transferase activity in the liver. The cafeteria diet and ginger extract did not promote significant changes in glycemic and lipid profile, liver weight and liver enzymes compared to the control group. We suggest that ginger can have beneficial effects on health complications associated with unhealthy diet, such as excessive adiposity, oxidative stress and hepatic injury.

RESUMO No presente artigo, temos como objetivo dar a conhecer e analisar A gramática das criancinhas (1921), uma obra redigida pela então professora portuguesa Virgínia Faria Gersão (1896-1974), para o ensino da gramática nos primeiros anos escolares. A abordagem bastante original que a autora confere ao texto faz desta obra um documento de elevado interesse para a história do ensino gramatical em Portugal. Nesta investigação, é nosso objetivo levar a cabo uma análise das estratégias usadas pela autora na explicação dos conteúdos gramaticais, criadas com o propósito de facilitar a aprendizagem dos alunos. O nosso estudo permite-nos concluir que o seu pensamento pedagógico faz eco das principais correntes da época, revelando ainda pertinência na atualidade.

ABSTRACT In this paper, we aim to present and analyze the work A gramática das criancinhas (1921), written by the then Portuguese teacher Virgínia Faria Gersão (1896-1974) for the teaching of grammar during the first years of school. The very original approach that the author confers to her text renders this work a document of high interest for the history of grammatical teaching in Portugal. In this investigation, it is our objective to carry out an analysis of the strategies used by the author in the explanation of the grammatical contents, created with the purpose of facilitating the students' learning. Our study allows us to conclude that the author's pedagogical thinking echoes the main trends of the time, still revealing to be pertinent nowadays.

RÉSUMÉ Dans le présent article, nous souhaitons présenter et analyser l'œuvre A gramática das criancinhas (1921), rédigée par Virgínia Faria Gersão (1896-1974), une enseignante portugaise de l'époque, destinée à l’enseignement de la grammaire des premières années scolaires. L’auteure fait une approche très originale du texte ce qui rende son ouvrage un document d'un grand intérêt pour l'histoire de l'enseignement de la grammaire au Portugal. Dans cette recherche, notre objectif est d’analyser les stratégies utilisées par l’auteure pour expliquer les contenus grammaticaux, dans le but de faciliter l’apprentissage des élèves. Notre étude nous permet de conclure que sa réflexion pédagogique fait écho des principaux courants de l’époque et continue encore à être pertinent dans l’actualité.

Resumo: Conferência pronunciada no 10º Seminário Anual de Serviço Social - Estado e Seguridade Social no Contexto da Crise do Capital. Compartilhei a mesa com Sara Graneman, uma das maiores conhecedoras da seguridade social. Minha intervenção tentou responder a uma extensa pauta suscitada por Liduína Oliveira, realizando uma introdução à reflexão sobre capitalismo, crises e conjuntura brasileira. A correlação entre a situação brasileira e a seguridade social foi brilhantemente tratada por Sara Graneman.

Abstract: Conference given at the 10th Annual Seminar of Social Service - State and Social Security in the Context of the Capital Crisis. I shared the table with Sara Graneman, one of Social Security's greatest connoisseurs. My intervention tried to respond to an extensive agenda raised by Liduína Oliveira, reacting an introduction to the reflection on capitalism, crises and Brazilian conjuncture. The correlation between the Brazilian situation and social security was brilliantly treated by Sara Graneman.

Resumo O texto, extraído de livro que defende a categoria de capital-imperialismo para explicar o período contemporâneo (o qual integra teoria do valor e do Estado), propõe um debate, com David Harvey, sobre o conceito de acumulação por espoliação. O artigo defende que a as formas de expropriação não se limitam a um momento "primitivo" mas integram a própria forma de expansão ampliada do capital e do capitalismo. Apresenta uma investigação comparativa entre as formulações presentes na obra de Karl Marx, de Karl Kautsky e de Rosa Luxemburgo, para refletir criticamente sobre os conceitos de "externo/interno", de expropriação e de acumulação capitalista no contexto contemporâneo.

Abstract The present excerpt is taken from a book that stands for the concept of capital-imperialism in order to explain the contemporary period (which integrates theory of value and the state). It proposes a debate, with David Harvey, on the concept of accumulation by dispossession, arguing that expropriation forms are not limited to a "primitive" moment but they are part of an enlarged form of expansion of capital and capitalism itself. It presents a comparative investigation between the formulations present in the works of Karl Marx, Karl Kautsky and Rosa Luxemburg, to critically reflect on the concepts of "external/internal", as well as expropriation and capitalist accumulation in the contemporary context.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVES: The capacity of a human cell line to secrete recombinant factor VIII with a F309S point mutation was investigated, as was the effect of the addition of chemical chaperones (betaine and sodium-4-phenylbutyrate) on the secretion of factor VIII. METHODS: This work used a vector with a F309S mutation in the A1 domain to investigate FVIII production in the HEK 293 human cell line. Factor VIII activity was measured by chromogenic assay. Furthermore, the effects of chemical drugs on the culture were evaluated. RESULTS: The addition of the F309S mutation to a previously described FVIII variant increased FVIII secretion by 4.5 fold. Moreover, the addition of betaine or sodium-4-phenylbutyrate increased the secretion rate of FVIIIΔB proteins in HEK 293 cells, but the same effect was not seen for FVIIIΔB-F309S indicating that all the recombinant protein produced had been efficiently secreted. CONCLUSION: Bioengineering factor VIII expressed in human cells may lead to an efficient production of recombinant factor VIII and contribute toward low-cost coagulation factor replacement therapy for hemophilia A. FVIII-F309S produced in human cells can be effective in vivo.

This study compares a wound dressing based on bacterial cellulose/collagen (BC/COL) hydrogel in rat dorsum with commercial collagenase ointment and untreated wound. The hydrogel was characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Fourier transformed - Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). According to the In vivo test and macroscopic evaluation, BC/COL hydrogel showed a better repair of wounds and promoted statistically significant differences of tissue repair between treatments on the 7th day after surgery. Better quality, quantity and orientation evaluation of collagen fibers (p=0.0001) were observed in the BC/COL hydrogel and collagenase ointment groups in relation to the control group. The BC/COL hydrogel promoted better wound healing than collagenase and the control group, therefore, it can be considered a potential wound dressing for skin regeneration.

OBJECTIVE: Nowadays recombinant factor VIII is produced in murine cells including in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) and baby hamster kidney cells (BHK). Previous studies, using the murine leukemia virus-derived retroviral vector pMFG-FVIII-P140K, modified two recombinant human cell lines, HepG2 and Hek293 to produce recombinant factor VIII. In order to characterize these cells, the present study aimed to analyze the integration pattern of retroviral vector pMFG-FVIII-P140K.METHODS: This study used ligation-mediated polymerase chain reaction to locate the site of viral vector integration by sequencing polymerase chain reaction products. The sequences were compared to genomic databases to characterize respective clones.RESULTS: The retroviral vector presented different and non-random profiles of integration between cells lines. A preference of integration for chromosomes 19, 17 and 11 was observed for HepG2FVIIIdB/P140K and chromosome 9 for Hek293FVIIIdB/P140K. In genomic regions such as CpG islands and transcription factor binding sites, there was no difference in the integration profiles for both cell lines. Integration in intronic regions of encoding protein genes (RefSeq genes) was also observed in both cell lines. Twenty percent of integrations occurred at fragile sites in the genome of the HepG2 cell line and 17% in Hek293.CONCLUSION: The results suggest that the cell type can affect the profile of chromosomal integration of the retroviral vector used; these differences may interfere in the level of expression of recombinant proteins.

INTRODUÇÃO: A experiência com o fechamento percutâneo da comunicação interatrial (CIA) em crianças pequenas é limitada. Avaliamos a factibilidade, a segurança e a eficácia desse procedimento em crianças com peso < 20 kg. MÉTODOS: Estudo descritivo observacional de uma coorte de crianças < 20 kg submetidas a tratamento percutâneo. Pacientes com dilatação ventricular direita e sintomas evidentes foram incluídos. Implantamos próteses aprovadas pela ANVISA, sob monitorização ecocardiográfica transesofágica. Os pacientes foram avaliados 1 mês, 3 meses, 6 meses e 12 meses após. RESULTADOS: Entre outubro de 1997 e maio de 2012, 80 pacientes foram tratados. As medianas de idade e peso foram de 4 anos (1-12) e 13,5 kg (5-20), respectivamente, 20 pacientes apresentavam alguma síndrome genética (25%) e 4 pacientes (5%) apresentavam CIA adicional. Somente um paciente necessitou duas próteses. Dois pacientes tinham defeitos associados, os quais foram tratados no mesmo procedimento (estenose pulmonar valvar e fístula arteriovenosa). Um paciente desenvolveu bloqueio atrioventricular total durante o implante da prótese, resolvido espontaneamente 36 horas após a remoção da prótese, sem necessidade de implante de marca-passo. Esse paciente foi tratado percutaneamente 6 meses após com sucesso, sem complicações. Setenta e nove pacientes receberam alta hospitalar em até 24 horas após o procedimento. Fluxo residual discreto (1-2 mm) foi observado em 5% dos casos antes da alta. Após 6 meses de seguimento, não foi detectado fluxo residual. Não houve complicações tardias no seguimento. CONCLUSÕES: O fechamento percutâneo da CIA em crianças pequenas selecionadas e sintomáticas é uma alternativa terapêutica factível, segura e eficaz, devendo ser a primeira opção para seu tratamento.

BACKGROUND: The experience with percutaneous closure of atrial septal defect (ASD) in infants is limited. We sought to determine the feasibility, safety and efficacy of this procedure in children weighing < 20 kg. METHODS: Observational study of a cohort of children weighing < 20 kg undergoing percutaneous closure. Patients with right ventricular enlargement and evident symptoms were included. ANVISA approved devices were implanted under transesophageal echocardiography monitoring. Patients were evaluated 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after the procedure. RESULTS: Eighty patients were treated between October 1997 and May 2012. Median age and weight were 4 years (1-12) and 13.5 kg (5-20), respectively, 20 patients had a genetic syndrome (25%) and 4 patients (5%) had an additional ASD. Only one patient required 2 devices. Two patients had associated defects that were treated in the same procedure (pulmonary valve stenosis and arteriovenous fistula). One patient developed total atrioventricular block during device implantation, solved spontaneously 36 hours after device removal, with no need for pacemaker implantation. This patient was successfully treated percutaneously 6 months later without complications. Seventy-nine patients were discharged within 24 hours after the procedure. A mild residual shunt (1-2 mm) was observed in 5% of the cases before discharge. There was no residual shunt 6 months after the procedure. There were no complications in the late follow-up. CONCLUSIONS: Percutaneous ASD closure in selected symptomatic infants is a feasible, safe and effective alternative and should be the first option therapy.

FUNDAMENTO: Há uma paucidade de dados comparando o método percutâneo e o cirúrgico para tratamento da comunicação interatrial tipo ostium secundum. OBJETIVOS: Análise de segurança e eficácia comparando ambos os métodos de tratamento em um hospital de excelência com vínculo com o Ministério de Saúde. MÉTODOS: Estudo observacional, prospectivo, não randomizado de duas coortes de crianças e adolescentes < 14 anos tratadas por meio do cateterismo intervencionista (grupo A) ou da cirurgia cardíaca convencional (grupo B). A coleta dos dados foi prospectiva no grupo A e retrospectiva no B. RESULTADOS: De abr/2009 a out/2011 foram alocados 75 pts no grupo A e entre jan/2006 e jan/2011 foram tratados 105 pts no grupo B. A idade e o peso dos pacientes foram maiores no grupo B e o diâmetro da comunicação interatrial do tipo ostium secundum foi semelhante entre os grupos. Sucesso técnico foi observado em todos os procedimentos e não houve óbitos. Complicações (a maioria menores) foram encontradas em 68% no grupo B e em 4% do grupo A (p < 0,001). As taxas de fluxo residual não significativo ou de oclusão total do defeito foram semelhantes nos dois grupos. A mediana de internação foi de 1,2 dias após o procedimento percutâneo e 8,4 dias após a correção cirúrgica (p < 0,001). CONCLUSÃO: Ambos os tratamentos são seguros e eficazes com ótimos desfechos, porém o tratamento percutâneo apresenta menor morbidade e tempo de internação. Tais observações embasam a visão que essa forma de tratamento deve ser, hoje em dia, o método de escolha para pacientes selecionados com CIA do tipo ostium secundum.

BACKGROUND: There is a scarcity of data comparing percutaneous and surgical closure of the secundum atrial septal defect (ASD). OBJECTIVES: Assessment of safety and efficacy of both methods of treatment in a referral center affiliated with the Ministry of Health. METHODS: Observational, prospective, non-randomized study of two cohorts of children and adolescents younger than 14 years, treated by catheterization or surgery. Data was collected prospectively in the percutaneous group (A) and retrospectively in the surgical group (B). RESULTS: A total of 75 patients (pts) were enrolled in group A from April 2009 to October 2011 and 105 pts were treated in group B from January 2006 to January 2011. Age was older and weight was higher in group B and the ASD diameter was similar in both groups. Technical success was achieved in all procedures and there were no deaths. Complications (most minor) occurred in 68% of group B and 4% of A (p < 0.001). Rates of total occlusion or non-significant residual shunts were similar in both groups. Median hospitalization time was 1.2 days in group A and 8.4 days in group B (p < 0.001). CONCLUSION: Both treatment modalities are safe and effective, showing excellent outcomes. However, the percutaneous treatment has lower morbidity and shorter in-hospital stay length. These observations support the concept that percutaneous treatment of atrial septal defects should be regarded as the method of choice to manage selected patients with this condition.

INTRODUÇÃO: A fenestração na cirurgia de Fontan (CF) melhora o resultado imediato no pós-operatório, por descompressão do circuito venoso-pulmonar e aumento do débito cardíaco, a despeito da dessaturação arterial de oxigênio e do risco de embolia paradoxal. Geralmente as fenestrações são ocluídas percutaneamente no seguimento a médio prazo. Este estudo teve como objetivo relatar a experiência institucional na oclusão percutânea da fenestração. MÉTODOS: Estudo descritivo longitudinal, observacional, retrospectivo, de uma coorte não-consecutiva de pacientes. O procedimento foi realizado sob anestesia geral com a ajuda de ecocardiograma transesofágico. O teste de oclusão da fenestração com cateter Bermann angiográfico foi realizado antes da intervenção. Diferentes técnicas e dispositivos foram empregados para a oclusão da fenestração. RESULTADOS: Entre abril de 2004 e dezembro de 2010, 12 pacientes (média de idade, 103,1 ± 88,6 meses; peso, 29,9 ± 12,7 kg) submetidos a CF (10 tubos extracardíacos, 2 túneis intra-atriais) foram tratados 44,1 ± 26,7 meses após a CF. Um paciente não tolerou o teste de oclusão com o balão, sendo contraindicado o procedimento. As próteses utilizadas foram: HelexTM (4 pacientes), AmplatzerTM (2 pacientes), Cardia AtriaseptTM (2 pacientes), FigullaTM (1 paciente), CeraTM (1 paciente), e 1 stent coberto Cheatham-PlatinumTM. Após a oclusão da fenestração, a saturação de oxigênio aumentou significativamente (82,1 ± 6,5% para 95,2 ± 3,2%), sem aumento significativo da pressão venosa central (12,4 ± 2,6 mmHg para 14,5 ± 2,3 mmHg) nem queda do débito cardíaco. Após o procedimento foi observado shunt residual imediato em 5 pacientes, que desapareceu antes da alta. CONCLUSÕES: A oclusão percutânea das fenestrações após CF pode ser realizada com várias opções de próteses e técnicas, sendo um procedimento seguro e efetivo e que resulta em normalização dos níveis de saturação.

BACKGROUND: Surgical fenestrations improve the early postoperative outcomes of the Fontan operation (FO) as a result of reduced systemic venous congestion and increased cardiac output, in spite of mild systemic desaturation and risk of paradoxical embolization. Generally, these fenestrations are occluded in the midterm follow-up. This study was aimed at reporting our experience with the percutaneous occlusion of Fontan fenestrations. METHODS: Longitudinal descriptive, observational, retrospective study of a non-consecutive cohort of patients. The procedure was performed under general anesthesia with the guidance of the transesophageal echocardiogram. A fenestration occlusion test was performed prior to the intervention using a Bermann angiographic catheter. Different techniques and devices were used to occlude fenestrations. RESULTS: From April 2004 to December 2010, 12 patients (mean age 103.1 ± 88.6 months; weight 29.9 ± 12.7 kg) undergoing FO (10 extracardiac conduits, 2 intra-atrial tunnels) were treated 44.1 ± 26.7 months after the operation. One patient failed the balloon occlusion test and the procedure was contraindicated. The following devices were used: HelexTM (4 patients), AmplatzerTM (2 patients), Cardia AtriaseptTM (2 patients), FigullaTM (1 patient), CeraTM (1 patient) and 1 covered Cheatham-PlatinumTM stent. After fenestration closure there was a significant increase in oxygen saturation (82.1 ± 6.5% to 95.2 ± 3.2%), without a significant increase in central venous pressures (12.4 ± 2.6 mmHg to 14.5 ± 2.3 mmHg) or reduction of cardiac output. Immediate residual shunt was observed in 5 patients, which disappeared before discharge. CONCLUSIONS: Percutaneous occlusion of Fontan fenestrations can be performed safely and effectively using a variety of techniques and devices resulting in normalization of systemic saturation levels.

Este artigo discute os modos de subjetivação femininos no mundo contemporâneo no contexto do trabalho e da família e problematiza o conceito de gênero tomando-o como relacional, plural, em uma tentativa de escapar à lógica binária. O artigo se baseia nos dados de uma pesquisa em que foram entrevistadas seis mulheres entre 25 e 35 anos de idade, de nível socioeconômico médio, cujas respostas foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo. Os resultados mostram mulheres que fazem parte de um contexto histórico que lhes endereça um discurso de sujeito autônomo e livre, que atribuem valor ao trabalho como profissão, mas que, ao mesmo tempo, são demandadas a atender as exigências de maridos e filhos no espaço privado. As múltiplas identidades que assumem requisitam posições de sujeito contraditórias, atravessadas pelas questões de gênero masculino/feminino que não mais dão conta de suas atuações no mundo. No entanto, simultaneamente, seus discursos indicam que as mulheres começam a buscar caminhos alternativos que as ajudem a superar essas relações dicotômicas.

This article discusses the feminine ways of subjectivity in the contemporary world in the context of work and family. It questions the concept of gender, taking it as relational, plural, in an attempt to escape the binary logic. Data were collected from a research in which six women of medium social economic level between 25 and 35 years old were interviewed, and their answers were submitted to the content analysis. Results show women who are part of a historical context that addresses them the speech of a free and autonomous subject, who value their work as professionals, but at the same time, who are required to assist their husbands’ and children’s needs in private life. The multiple identities they assume require different and contradictory positions as subjects, pervaded by feminine/masculine gender issues that do not respond to their performances in the world. However, simultaneously their narrations indicate that these women have begun to look for alternative ways that might help them overcome these dichotomic relations.

Este artículo discute los modos de subjetividad femeninos en el mundo contemporáneo en el contexto del trabajo y de la familia y problematiza el concepto de género considerándolo como relacional, plural, en un intento de escapar a la lógica binaria. El artículo se basa en los datos de una encuesta en que fueron entrevistadas seis mujeres entre 25 y 35 años de edad, de nivel socio económico mediano, cuyas respuestas fueron sometidas al análisis de contenido. Los resultados muestran mujeres que hacen parte de un contexto histórico que las direcciona a un discurso de sujeto autónomo y libre, que atribuyen valor al trabajo como profesión, pero que, al mismo tiempo, se exige de ellas cumplir las exigencias de maridos e hijos en el espacio privado. Las variadas identidades que asumen necesitan posiciones de sujeto contradictorias, atravesadas por las cuestiones de género masculino/femenino que no más consiguen mantener sus actuaciones en el mundo. Sin embargo, simultáneamente, sus discursos indican que las mujeres comienzan a buscar caminos alternativos que las ayuden a superar esas relaciones dicotómicas.

El personal de enfermería a menudo no es consciente de los problemas de salud a que está expuesto. El objetivo del trabajo fue identificar las condiciones laborales en los centros hospitalarios que llevan al profesional de enfermería a sufrir enfermedades psíquicas, para que a partir de ahí, puedan surgir estrategias de cambio para mejorar las condiciones de trabajo y, en consecuencia mejorar la salud física y mental del profesional. Este estudio es descriptivo explicativo exploratorio, con un enfoque de cualicuantitativo, realizado a través de la investigación de campo en el hospital y la maternidad Luiz Palmier, donde se ha entrevistado técnicos de enfermería, enfermeros del sector hospitalário , a través de un cuestionario con cuestiones abiertas y cerradas. En el análisis de datos, los resultados mostraron que el profesional afectado está satisfecho, realizado con una relación interpersonal satisfactoria con el liderazgo. El resultado, a pesar de los puntos de satisfacción, apunta que la visión profesional técnica mediante su superior es inadecuada. A pesar de los resultados, de la visión distorsionada, forjada por la falta de conceptos tales como la gestión y liderazgo, los profesionales trabajan con el espíritu de enfermería: el cuidado.

The nursing staff often does not realize the dangers to which it is exposed. The objective of this study is to help identify elements in the work environment at hospitals that can cause psychological problems for nursing professionals and, on that basis, to facilitate strategies for changes to improve working conditions in the interest of better physical and mental health. This is an exploratory and explanatory study of a descriptive nature, with a qualitative- quantitative approach. It was conducted through field work at the Luiz Palmier Maternity Hospital, where nursing professionals were interviewed and asked to complete a standard form with open and closed questions. An analysis of the collected data showed the professionals who were interviewed are satisfied, to some degree, with the general conditions and with their superiors. However, in spite of that satisfaction, the results show technical personnel have a poor view of their superiors. Regardless of the results and the distorted view, forged by the lack of concepts such as management and leadership, professional nurses perform in keeping with the spirit of nursing, which is based on care.

A equipe de enfermagem muitas vezes não percebe os problemas de saúde ao qual esta exposta. O objetivo do trabalho foi identificar as condições de trabalho que levam o profissional de enfermagem da unidade hospitalar ao sofrimento psíquico, para que a partir desta, possam surgir estratégias de mudanças a fim de obtermos melhoria nas condições de trabalho e consequentemente na saúde física e mental do profissional. Esta pesquisa configura-se descritiva explicativa exploratória, com uma abordagem qualiquantitativa, realizada através de pesquisa de campo, no Hospital e Maternidade Luiz Palmier, onde entrevistamos profissionais técnicos de enfermagem e enfermeiros do setor hospitalar, através de um questionário com questões abertas e fechadas. Na análise de dados, os resultados nos mostraram que o profissional em questão está satisfeito, realizado, com um a relação interpessoal satisfatória com a Chefia. O resultado, apesar da satisfação, aponta que a visão do profissional técnico mediante a teu superior é de maneira inadequada. Apesar dos resultados, da visão distorcida, forjada pela inexistência de conceitos como Gerência e Chefia, os profissionais atuam com o espírito da Enfermagem: o cuidar.
