RESUMO O estudo objetivou analisar os cenários antecedente e atual de atuação profissional de egressos dos cursos de mestrado e de doutorado em Educação Física, da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, entre 2006 e 2013. No estudo descritivo, de fonte documental, foram consultados os currículos (Plataforma Lattes) de um total de 276 ingressantes. Antes de ingressarem no mestrado e no doutorado, a atuação profissional dos egressos concentrava-se nos ambientes não formais, ensino superior público e educação básica. Após a conclusão, predominou o ensino superior público e o privado. Conclui-se que o ensino superior é a primeira opção dos egressos, aumentando a competitividade pela busca da melhor qualificação. A realização de atividades de pesquisa e a atuação no terceiro setor também continuam marcantes.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze previous and current professional activity scenarios of Physical Education master’s and doctoral graduates from the Federal University of Santa Catarina between 2006 and 2013. This descriptive study of documental source was based on curricula (Lattes Platform) of 276 entrants. Before admission to master’s or doctoral programs, the graduates’ professional activity was concentrated in non-formal contexts, public higher education and basic education. After completion, public and private higher education prevailed. It has been concluded that higher education is the graduates’ first option, raising competitiveness for search of better qualification. Engagement in research activities and work in the tertiary sector remain significant.

RESUMO Os objetivos da pesquisa foram produzir chapas de partículas com resíduos do processamento da madeira de Pinus elliottii coladas com resina poliuretana à base de mamona e avaliar o efeito da combinação da pressão e temperatura na qualidade das chapas produzidas. Para tanto, foram confeccionadas 12 chapas, subdivididas em quatro tratamentos em função da pressão (2,0; 3,0; 3,5; e 3,5 MPa) e temperatura (90; 90; 50; e 60 ºC). Depois de prensadas e climatizadas, as chapas foram seccionadas em corpos de prova, e realizados ensaios físico-mecânicos para determinação da densidade, inchamento e absorção de água (0-2h; 2-24h; e 0-24h); módulo de ruptura e de elasticidade em flexão estática, ligação interna e arrancamento de parafuso. As chapas prensadas com pressão de 3,0 MPa e temperatura de 90ºC e aquelas com pressão de 3,5 MPa e temperatura de 60ºC apresentaram os melhores resultados. A temperatura de prensagem foi a variável preponderante na qualidade das chapas produzidas.

ABSTRACT This work aimed to produce homogeneous layer particle boards with residues of Pinus elliottii wood adhered with polyurethane adhesive to castor oil plant base and to evaluate the effect of the combination of pressure and temperature in the quality of the particle boards produced. To do so, 12 particle boards were manufactured, subdivided into four treatments in function of the pressure (2.0; 3.0; 3.5; and 3.5 MPa) and temperature (90; 90; 50; and 60 ºC). The particleboards were sectioned in test samples, and accomplished by physical-mechanical tests for the determination of density, swelling and absorption of water (0-2h; 2-24h; and 0-24h); rupture module and elasticity module in static bending, internal ligation and screw withdrawal. The particle boards pressed with pressure of 3.0 MPa and temperature of 90 ºC and that with pressure of 3.5 MPa and temperature of 60 ºC presented the best results. The temperature of pressing was the predominant variable in the quality of those particle boards manufactured.

Neste artigo, são analisadas as principais habilidades e competências desejáveis aos profissionais de IC a partir de uma cuidadosa revisão de literatura, tomando como referência as etapas do ciclo de IC e os estudos de Robert L. Katz sobre habilidades gerenciais. Os resultados demonstram que as habilidades e competências dos profissionais de IC tendem a variar conforme as etapas do ciclo de IC em que estes profissionais estejam envolvidos.

In this article, the main and desired abilities of IC professionals are outlined based literature review, taking into consideration the cycle stages of IC and the studies by Robert L. Katz on managerial abilities. The results show that the skills and competencies of IC professionals may vary according to the IC cycle stages they might be involved in.

Objetivou-se avaliar um sistema de secagem de café, com meia-seca em leito fixo e complementação da secagem em secador de lotes, intermitente, de fluxos concorrentes, em um experimento instalado na Área de Pré-processamento e Armazenamento de Produtos Vegetais, DEA-UFV. Utilizou-se delineamento inteiramente casualizado. Fez-se a colheita pelo método de derriça sobre o chão. Os frutos foram pré-processados por via seca, secando-se os frutos verdes, cerejas e passas. Na meia-seca, a umidade inicial dos frutos variou entre 68,9 e 71,3% b.u. e a final entre 44,0 e 47,5% b.u. Na complementação da secagem a umidade final variou entre 12,2 e 13,8% b.u. A temperatura do ar, no secador de leito fixo, variou entre 50,4 e 76 °C, e no de fluxos concorrentes, entre 87,2 e 110 °C. A entalpia específica no secador de leito fixo variou entre 8,4 e 9,1 MJ kg-1 e no de fluxos concorrentes, entre 7,1 e 16,9 MJ kg-1. Relativamente às testemunhas, a qualidade final do produto apresentou melhores características comerciais. Concluiu-se que a meia-seca em leito fixo e a secagem em secador de fluxos concorrentes, além de reduzir o tempo de operação, poderá contribuir para melhor preservar as qualidades que o produto adquire no campo.

The general objective of this study was the evaluation of a system for coffee drying, using partial drying in fixed bed dryer and complementary drying in an intermittent concurrent flow batch dryer. The experiment was carried out in the Vegetable Products Processing Area, DEA-UFV. The drying tests were accomplished in completely randomized design. The coffee was harvested on the ground by manual striping process. The fruits were pre-processed by drying of ripe, overripe and greenish cherries. For the preliminary drying, the initial coffee moisture content varied from 68.9 to 71.3% w.b. with the drying being interrupted with moisture content between 44.0 and 47.5% w.b. In the complementary drying phase the final moisture varied between 12.2 and 13.8% w.b. The temperature of the drying air, in the fixed-bed dryer, varied from 50.4 to 76 °C, and in the concurrent flow batch dryer, between 87.2 and 110 °C. The specific enthalpies were 8.4 to 9.1 MJ kg-1 and 7.1 to 16,9 MJ kg-1 for the fixed-bed dryer and concurrent flow batch dryer, respectively. In comparison with the control tests, the final quality of the product presented better commercial characteristics. It was concluded that with preliminary drying in fixed bed dryer and complementary drying in a concurrent flow dryer, besides reducing the total drying time, the combined system contributes to a better preservation of qualities acquired in field.
