Resumo No modelo bioecológico, compreende-se o desenvolvimento a partir da interação entre o sujeito e os múltiplos contextos nos quais está inserido, considerando a dimensão temporal. Nessa direção, por meio de um estudo descritivo, objetivou-se analisar as concepções de jovens com transtorno autista, suas mães e seus irmãos acerca de suas vivências familiares. Para tanto, foram realizadas entrevistas com 12 mães, 17 irmãos e 2 jovens com autismo, sendo transcritas e analisadas a partir da técnica de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados evidenciaram que as atividades, a rede de apoio e as concepções descritas pelos participantes funcionam como fatores protetivos, mesmo diante de fatores de risco em seu desenvolvimento. O presente estudo suscita novas questões de pesquisa e elucida aspectos das vivências familiares importantes para delinear intervenções.

Abstract In the bioecological model, development is understood as the interaction between the subject and the multiple contexts in which it is inserted, taking into consideration the temporal dimension. In this direction, through a descriptive study, it was aimed to analyze the conceptions of young people with autism, their mothers and siblings about their family experiences. For that, interviews were conducted with 12 mothers, 17 siblings and 2 youngsters with autism, being transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results have showed that the activities, support networks and conceptions described by the participants work as protective factors, even in the face of risk factors in their development. The present study raises new research questions and elucidates aspects of family experiences that are important to delineate interventions.

RESUMO: Este estudo objetivou analisar episódios interacionais de crianças com autismo nos contextos de sala de aula e pátio, considerando seus pares e professores. Entende-se a relevância da inclusão escolar e das interações sociais específicas que ocorrem nesses contextos a partir das características neurodesenvolvimentais, sociocomunicativas e comportamentais das crianças diagnosticadas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista. Para tanto, foram realizadas oito filmagens em duas escolas particulares, com quatro professoras, quatro crianças com autismo e 42 crianças com desenvolvimento típico. Os resultados foram apresentados em termos quantitativos, a partir das frequências de episódios interacionais; e qualitativos, a partir da descrição de quatro estudos de caso contendo trechos dos episódios interacionais. Apesar das variações entre os contextos, os episódios interacionais completos caracterizaram-se pelo uso de objetos e mediações diádicas dirigidas pelas professoras às crianças autistas. Sobre as interações entre os pares, destaca-se que essas trocas foram mais frequentes durante as atividades livres no contexto de sala de aula. Por fim, ressaltase o papel do estudo dos episódios interacionais para os processos de pesquisa, avaliação e intervenção na área escolar.

ABSTRACT: This study aimed at analyzing interactional episodes of children with autism in the classroom and schoolyard contexts, considering their peers and teachers. It is understood the relevance of school inclusion and specific social interactions that occur in these contexts from the neurodevelopmental, socio-communicative and behavioral characteristics of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In order to do that, eight filming sessions were held in two private schools, with four teachers, four children with autism and 42 children with typical development. The results were presented in quantitative terms, from the frequencies of interactional episodes; and qualitative terms, from the description of four case studies containing excerpts from the interactional episodes. In spite of the variations between the contexts, the complete interactional episodes were characterized by the use of objects and dyadic mediations directed by the teachers to the autistic children. On the interactions between the pairs, it is emphasized that these exchanges were more frequent during free activities in the context of the classroom. Finally, the role of the study of the interactional episodes for the processes of research, evaluation and intervention in the school area is emphasized.

RESUMO Este estudo objetivou investigar as concepções de crianças com desenvolvimento típico acerca de suas vivências escolares em contextos de inclusão de colegas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista - TEA em dois momentos distintos, no início e no final do ano letivo, com vistas a verificar possíveis mudanças nessas concepções a partir da convivência com os pares com TEA. Participaram 42 crianças, na faixa etária de 4-5 anos, de duas instituições de Educação Infantil da cidade de João Pessoa-Paraíba, Brasil, que tinham em suas salas de aula colegas diagnosticados com TEA. Foram aplicadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com as crianças com desenvolvimento típico, que foram transcritas e analisadas a partir da técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Como resultados, as crianças mencionaram adjetivos positivos ao descreverem sua creche, professora e colegas, tanto no início quanto no final do ano letivo. Também foi comum as crianças descreverem a creche em termos das atividades que realizavam em sua rotina, e as pessoas, em relação aos seus comportamentos. Como colegas com quem as crianças não brincavam, foram citados aqueles com desenvolvimento típico que apresentavam comportamentos agressivos. Sobre seus colegas com TEA, estes foram considerados por seus pares como colegas preferidos, destacando-se também o uso dos termos “especial” ou “bebê” para caracterizá-los, e, ainda, o fato de que com o tempo eles passaram a ser vistos a partir das suas capacidades e interesses. Discute-se, por fim, a importância de estudar a inclusão escolar a partir da perspectiva das crianças.

ABSTRACT This study aimed at investigating the conceptions of children with typical development about their school experiences in contexts of inclusion of classmates with Autism Spectrum Disorder - ASD at two different moments, at the beginning and at the end of the school year, in order to verify possible changes over these conceptions as from the peers’ contact with ASD. As many as 42 children aged 4-5 years old took part, from two child education institutions in the city of João Pessoa, state of Paraíba, Brazil, who had classmates in their classrooms diagnosed with ASD. Semi-structured interviews were applied with children with typical development, which were transcribed and analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis technique. As results, the children mentioned positive adjectives when describing their daycare, teacher, and peers, both at the beginning and at the end of the school year. It was also common for children to describe the daycare in terms of the activities they performed in their routine, and the people, in relation to their behaviors. As classmates with whom the children did not play, those with typical development that presented aggressive behaviors were mentioned. About their classmates with ASD, they were considered by their peers as favorite classmates, also highlighting the use of the terms “special” or “baby” to characterize them, and the fact that over time they became viewed from their capacities and interests. Lastly, the importance of studying school inclusion from the perspective of children is discussed.

Resumo Este estudo objetivou analisar as concepções de pais e professores acerca da criança autista e do seu processo de inclusão escolar. Participaram seis professores de escolas regulares da cidade de João Pessoa-PB e oito pais de crianças diagnosticadas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista. Foram realizadas entrevistas, que foram gravadas e transcritas integralmente e os dados submetidos à Análise de Conteúdo. Os resultados indicaram que os pais demonstraram expectativas voltadas para a socialização e para aprendizagens acadêmicas, enquanto os professores mencionaram em suas estratégias a adoção de práticas mais voltadas à socialização. Destacou-se também que pais, à medida que acompanham o desenvolvimento de seus filhos, e professores, a partir do contato com crianças autistas, relataram ter expectativas mais positivas em relação a estas crianças. Conhecer as concepções de pais e professores é fundamental para promover a inclusão escolar de crianças autistas, que ocorre através da participação efetiva das duas partes.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze parents and teachers conceptions with respect to autistic children and the process of school inclusion of these children. Six teachers of regular schools in the city of João Pessoa-PB and eight parents of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder participated in this research. Interviews were recorded and transcribed and the data submitted to content analysis. The results indicated that parents demonstrated expectations towards the children socialization and academic learning while the strategies outlined by the teachers emphasized the adoption of practices more focused on socialization. It was also noted that parents, as they followed their children development, and teachers, as they had contact with autistic children, reported more positive expectations concerning these children. Knowing the concepts of parents and teachers as regards autistic children is essential to understand that the successful implementation of school inclusion may be achieved through the active participation of both parties.

O espectro autista é caracterizado por prejuízos desde os primeiros anos de vida nas áreas de interação social, comunicação e comportamento. Os aspectos relacionados à etiologia, às possibilidades terapêuticas e à inserção em escolas regulares não são conclusivos, dado que evidencia a importância de estudos na área. O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar as interações sociais de crianças com espectro autista nos contextos de escolas regulares, considerando a mediação das professoras. Participaram deste estudo 42 crianças, das quais quatro crianças têm o diagnóstico de espectro autista, entre três e cinco anos de idade, e quatro professoras de duas escolas regulares particulares. Os resultados demonstraram que a mediação das professoras se caracterizou pelo uso de diretivos linguísticos e apoio físico. A participação das crianças com espectro autista em termos interacionais se caracterizou por comportamentos mais frequentes de olhar pessoas, iniciativa dirigida à ação, resposta adequada e sorriso. Nesse sentido, compreender como as crianças com espectro autista interagem com as pessoas e objetos em ambientes escolares e como são realizadas as mediações pelas professoras nesses momentos são aspectos de grande relevância para a elaboração de estratégias de intervenção que favoreçam a interação social e o processo de inclusão escolar.

The autistic spectrum is characterized by losses beginning in the early years of life in the areas of social interaction, communication and behavior. Aspects related to the etiology, therapeutic possibilities and inclusion in regular schools are not conclusive, which shows the importance of studies in the area. This study aims to analyze social interactions of children with autistic spectrum disorders in mainstream school contexts, considering the mediation of teachers. The participants were 42 children, of whom four children had been diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder, between three and five years old, and four teachers from two regular private schools. The results showed that the mediation of the teachers was characterized by the use of linguistic directives and physical support. The participation of children with autistic spectrum disorder in interactional terms was characterized most frequently by behaviors such as looking at people, initiative directed to action, appropriate response and smile. In this sense, understanding how children with autistic spectrum disorders interact with people and objects in school settings and how mediations are conducted by teachers in such moments is highly relevant for elaborating intervention strategies to promote social interaction and the process of school inclusion.
