Resumen Objetivos: Los predictores que afectan a la supervivencia del colangiocarcinoma hiliar son ambiguos. Este estudio tiene como objetivo identificar los factores predictivos y los patrones de recurrencia del colangiocarcinoma hiliar. Métodos: Se aplicó un análisis retrospectivo con126 pacientes con colangiocarcinoma hiliar desde 2009 hasta 2019. Resultados: La proporción de colangiocarcinoma hiliar Bismuth I y II en el grupo de recurrencia fue mayor que en el grupo de no recurrencia (p < 0.01). El tumor del grupo de recidiva tenía un estadio N más avanzado que el del grupo de no recidiva. El estadio N se asocia de forma independiente con la supervivencia libre de enfermedad y global del paciente (p < 0.01). La resección de la vía biliar combinada con la hepatectomía benefició más a la supervivencia libre de enfermedad y global que la resección de la vía biliar sola en el colangiocarcinoma hiliar (p = 0.072 y p = 0.045). Una mayor proporción de pacientes se sometió a resección de la vía biliar combinada con hepatectomía en el grupo de no recidiva que en el de recidiva (p < 0.01). Conclusiones: El estadio N fue el predictor independiente. Se recomienda la resección de la vía biliar combinada con hepatectomía para los pacientes con colangiocarcinoma hiliar Bismuth I y II.

Abstract Objectives: The predictive factors affecting the survival of hilar cholangiocarcinoma (HC) are ambiguous. This study aimed to identify the predictors and recurrence patterns of HC. Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinicopathological findings of 126 patients with HC from 2009 to 2019 was performed. Results: The proportion of Bismuth I and II HC in the recurrence group was higher than that in the non-recurrence group (p < 0.01). The recurrence group had poorer tumor differentiation, a more advanced N stage, and a higher incidence of perineural invasion compared with the non-recurrence group. N stage and tumor differentiation were independently associated with disease-free and overall survival of patients (p < 0.01). Bile duct resection (BDR) combined with hepatectomy was more favorable to disease-free and overall survivals than BDR alone in Bismuth I and II HC, although p values were marginal (p = 0.072 and p = 0.045). A higher proportion of patients in the non-recurrence group underwent BDR combined with hepatectomy than that in the recurrence group (p < 0.01). Conclusions: N stage and tumor differentiation are the two independent predictors of patient survival. BDR combined with hepatectomy is recommended for patients with Bismuth I and II hilar cholangiocarcinoma.

ABSTRACT Introduction: The training should be performed according to the characteristics of basketball by establishing a scientific evaluation index system to fully exploit the potential of its players. Objective: Evaluate the index system for measuring physical training specific to basketball players. Methods: The physical training evaluation indexes of athletes were studied by checking the scientific literature and mathematical statistics, and an evaluation index for the physical training of young basketball players was designed and experimented. Results: The highest proportion of the special fitness score in athletic average was 46.25%; the proportion of the players’ general fitness score represented 15% above and 13.75% below. The specific fitness level of basketball players is mainly at the average level. Conclusion: The effects of training can be effectively evaluated by the experienced index system, and it is useful for athletes to find deficiencies, make full use of their potential, improve skills and adapt basketball tactics. RESUMEN Introducción: El entrenamiento debe realizarse de acuerdo con las características del baloncesto estableciendo un sistema de índices de evaluación científica para explotar plenamente el potencial de sus jugadores. Objetivo: Evaluar el sistema de índices de medición del entrenamiento físico específico para jugadores de baloncesto. Métodos: Se estudiaron los índices de evaluación del entrenamiento físico de los deportistas mediante la comprobación de la literatura científica y la estadística matemática, y se diseñó y experimentó un índice de evaluación del entrenamiento físico de los jóvenes jugadores de baloncesto. Resultados: La proporción más alta de la puntuación de la aptitud física especial en la media atlética fue del 46,25%; la proporción de la puntuación de la aptitud física general de los jugadores representó un 15% por encima y un 13,75% por debajo, el nivel de aptitud física específica de los jugadores de baloncesto está principalmente en el nivel medio. Conclusión: Los efectos del entrenamiento pueden evaluarse eficazmente mediante el sistema de índice de experiencia, y es útil para que los deportistas encuentren las deficiencias, aprovechen al máximo su propio potencial, mejoren las habilidades y adapten las tácticas de baloncesto. RESUMO Introdução: O treinamento deve ser realizado de acordo com as características do basquetebol estabelecendo um sistema de índice de avaliação científica para explorar plenamente o potencial de seus jogadores. Objetivo: Avaliar o sistema de índices de medição do treinamento físico específico para os jogadores de basquetebol. Métodos: Os índices de avaliação do treinamento físico dos atletas foram estudados verificando a literatura científica e estatísticas matemáticas, um índice de avaliação para o treinamento físico de jovens jogadores de basquetebol foi projetado e experimentado. Resultados: A maior proporção da pontuação da aptidão física especial na média atlética foi de 46,25%; a proporção da pontuação da aptidão física geral dos jogadores representou 15% acima e 13,75% abaixo, o nível de aptidão física específica dos jogadores de basquetebol está principalmente no nível mediano. Conclusão: Os efeitos do treinamento podem ser efetivamente avaliados pelo sistema de índice experimentado, sendo útil para que os atletas possam encontrar deficiências, aproveitar plenamente seu próprio potencial, melhorar as habilidades e adaptar as táticas do basquetebol. RESUMEN Introducción: los beneficios de la ventilación asistida ajustada neuronalmente (NAVA) en los recién nacidos prematuros son inciertos. El objetivo de este estudio fue explorar si la NAVA no invasiva (NIV) era más beneficiosa para los recién nacidos prematuros que la presión positiva continua nasal (NCPAP). Diseño del estudio: metanálisis de tres ensayos clínicos: dos ensayos controlados aleatorizados y un estudio de grupos cruzados. Se comparó la NAVA-NIV con la NCPAP y se informó sobre el fracaso del tratamiento, la mortalidad y los eventos adversos como resultados principales. Resultados: tres estudios con 173 pacientes (89 recibieron NAVA-NIV) cumplieron los criterios de inclusión en este metanálisis. No se observaron diferencias en el fracaso del tratamiento entre la NAVA-NIV y la NCPAP (razón de riesgos [RR] = 1,09; intervalo de confianza [IC] del 95 % = 0,65-1,84; diferencia de riesgos = 0,02; IC95% = -0,10-0,14; I2=33 %; P = 0,23). De manera similar, no hubo diferencias en la mortalidad (RR = 1,52; IC95% = 0,51-4,52; no aplica heterogeneidad). En comparación con la NCPAP, la NAVA-NIV redujo significativamente el uso de cafeína (RR = 0,85; IC 95% = 0,74-0,98; I2 = 71 %; P = 0,03). Conclusiones: en comparación con la NCPAP, no hay evidencia suficiente para sacar una conclusión sobre los beneficios o daños de la NAVA-NIV en los recién nacidos prematuros. Los hallazgos de esta revisión deben confirmarse en ensayos clínicos con una metodología rigurosa y potencia adecuada.

Abstract: Due to the advantages of short treatment period, no wastewater and oil produced, the CO2 laser is applied as an environment friendly thermal treatment for wood materials to improve the wood properties, such as appearance, color and wettability, among others. However, the morphological features of treated wood surface are also changed, which have negative effects on wooden product properties. To reveal the change tendency of surface roughness during laser irradiation, the common indexes of average roughness (Ra) and mean peak-to-valley height (Rz) were chosen to evaluate the surface roughness. The response surface methodology was selected to arrange the experiments and analyze the influences of laser parameters on surface roughness. The results showed that the poplar wood got rougher with the increased laser power, but the surface roughness decreased with increased feed speed and path spacing, due to the total heat absorption varied under different combination of laser parameters. The ANOVA results showed that the selected quadratic models for Ra∥, Rz∥, Ra⊥and Rz⊥were significant due to the values of probability value (“Prob>F”) less than 0,05. In this case, all the input laser parameters were also the significant model terms for variation of surface roughness. The values of correlation coefficient were very close to 1, which meant the selected quadratic models could give accurate prediction of surface roughness for laser treated wood. Therefore, it is of great significance to predict the surface roughness of the modified wood surface scientifically and to guide the selection of reasonable modification process parameters.

Abstract As an alternative type of tea product, tartary buckwheat tea (TBT) has become popular in the current market because of its rich taste, natural healthiness and convenience of use. Because sensory evaluation is easily affected by the individual differences and external factors that affect human assessors, the present study used intelligent sensory systems (electronic nose, electronic tongue and electronic eye) to analyze different types of TBT to establish a scientific basis for its quality characteristics. Results showed that obvious differences in color, aroma and taste were found among the different types of teas. The taste differences in the TBT were mainly acquired by the CTS sensor (saltiness) and ANS sensor (sweetness), with the greatest number of volatile substance was detected in the whole plant tea. Overall, intelligent sensory technology could accurately evaluate TBT thus providing the capability to meet the needs of different types of consumers and of different occasions.

ABSTRACT Studies on the operational adaptability of slope corn harvesters on hilly slopes are of great significance to improve the performance and safety of the whole machine, but there are few studies on this aspect at the present. Therefore, this paper takes a self-developed small sloping land crawler corn harvester as the object combined with the special topography of the hilly sloping land and the technology adopted by the machine to make a mathematical analysis of its operational adaptability on the sloping land. Through the field test, the forward speed of the corn harvester, track wheel spacing and slope angle are used as the test factors, and the harvest loss rate of the corn ear is used as the assessment index to carry out the orthogonal test on the slope land. The analysis of the results based on the Design-expert response surface was completed. The results show that the ear loss rate of the experiment under different conditions is less than 5% of the national standard. The corn harvester has good adaptability to sloped land, which can realize the mechanized operation of corn on the hilly and sloped land, and has good agricultural production application value.

ABSTRACT Phosphorus deficiency can lead to serious reductions in crop yield and quality. Rapid and accurate determination of phosphorus stress status in vegetables is essential for ensuring the appropriate application of water and fertiliser, improving the yield and quality of vegetables, avoiding the waste of resources and serious non-point pollution source caused by the abuse of chemical fertilisers, and promoting green production and sustainability of facility agriculture. Chemical analysis and spectral or visual imaging methods for detection of phosphorus nutritional status are not conducive in facility production owing to their low accuracy and damage to plants. Owing to its penetration and fingerprint characteristics, terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) can distinguish differences in internal components caused by excess phosphorus nutrients and changes in nucleic acids, nuclear proteins, phospholipids, and other macromolecules; thus, it could potentially be used to evaluate the nutritional status of crops. In this study, an innovative THz-TDS-based method was used to detect the nutritional status of phosphorus in lettuce. Lettuce was grown with different phosphorus levels using soilless cultivation and different nutrient solutions. Based on the standard formula of Yamasaki nutrient solution, the phosphorus content in the nutrient solutions was reduced or increased by 20%, 60%, 100%, and 150%, and lettuce samples exposed to each of these phosphorus concentrations were collected. Terahertz spectra are highly sensitive to water; thus, the lettuce samples were freeze-dried to minimise the effect of water and maintain their original quality and bioactivity. The spectra of lettuce were recorded using a TS7400 THz-TDS system; noise and interference were eliminated via normalisation based on Savitzky-Golay smoothing. The correction and validation sets were divided using sample set partitioning based on the joint x-y distance (SPXY). The stability competitive adaptive reweighted algorithm, iterative retention information variable algorithm, and interval combination optimisation algorithm were used to select the terahertz characteristic wavelength, and the successive projection algorithm was then used for secondary optimisation. Finally, a THz-TDS model of lettuce phosphorus was established using the partial least squares method with five principal component variables. The coefficient of determination of the model reached 0.7005, and the root-mean-square error of the predictions was 0.003273, indicating that this method has a high prediction accuracy.

OBJECTIVES: Cerebral ischemia seriously threatens human health and is characterized by high rates of incidence, disability and death. Developing an ideal animal model of cerebral ischemia that reflects the human clinical features is critical for pathological studies and clinical research. The goal of this study is to establish a local cerebral ischemia model in rhesus macaque, thereby providing an optimal animal model to study cerebral ischemia. METHODS: Eight healthy rhesus monkeys were selected for this study. CT scans were performed before the operation to exclude cerebral vascular and intracranial lesions. Under guidance and monitoring with digital subtraction angiography (DSA), a microcatheter was inserted into the M1 segment of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) via the femoral artery. Then, autologous white thrombi were introduced to block blood flow. Immediately following embolization, multisequence MRI was used to monitor cerebrovascular and brain parenchymal conditions. Twenty-four hours after embolization, 2 monkeys were sacrificed and subjected to perfusion, fixation and pathological examination. RESULTS: The cerebral ischemia model was established in 7 rhesus monkeys; one animal died during intubation. DSA and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) indicated the presence of an arterial occlusion. MRI showed acute local cerebral ischemia. HE staining revealed infarct lesions formed in the brain tissues, and thrombi were present in the cerebral artery. CONCLUSION: We established a rhesus macaque model of local cerebral ischemia by autologous thrombus placement. This model has important implications for basic and clinical research on cerebral ischemia. MRI and DSA can evaluate the models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

ABSTRACT: Yellowing is a key stage in the curing of flue-cured tobacco (Nicotiana tobacum L.) as much of the chemical transformation occurs during this period. This study examined the effect of different yellowing degrees on the value of flue-cured tobacco leaves at the farm level for both processing and manufacturing. The study was conducted in the counties of Chuxiong, Dali, and Yuxi in Yunnan, China over two years. Yellowing treatments have been designed to have either a mild or a regular yellowing degree. Yield, value, appearance, suction property, smoking characteristics, and physical resistance to further processing were investigated to evaluate the effect of degree of yellowing on the industrial utilization of flue-cured tobacco leaves. The regular yellowing degree enhanced yield, value, and appearance compared to the mild yellowing degree, regardless of cultivar or location; however, physical resistance to further processing and the suction property of the mild yellowing degree treatment were better than with the regular yellowing degree regardless of cultivar or location. Furthermore, although the regular yellowing degree recorded higher smoking characteristic scores than the mild yellowing degree immediately after flue-curing, the scores of mild yellowing degree leaves could be further augmented by increasing intensity in the re-drying stage. The smoking characteristic score in the regular yellowing degree can only be increased by low intensity re-drying, and significantly decreased by mild and high intensity re-drying. Therefore, in terms of industrial utilization, mild yellowing is the better choice for flue-curing tobacco. This study also suggested that the current regular yellowing stage in Yunnan should be shortened to meet the demands of the traditional tobacco industry.

Abstract The embrittlement and softening behaviors in heat affected zone of X90 pipeline steel were studied, and the influence of weld thermal cycle on microstructure and mechanical properties were discussed by combining the effect of peak temperature on the phase transition point (Ar3). Results show that there are embrittlement and softening zones existed in heat affected zone of X90 pipeline steel. The peak temperature greatly affected the austenitizing and its grain size, thereby affected phase transition during cooling process. The embrittlement in critical heat affected zone at 750 °C was caused by brittle bainite and M /A islands formed during cooling, because little austenite was formed during heating. While, the embrittlement in coarse grain heat affected zone was caused by austenite grain coarsen, which transformed to the coarse bainite after cooling. The softening zone attributed to the polygonal ferrite and granular ferrite after cooling, which came from fine and ununiformed austenite formed during reheating process. Ar3 decreased with the increase of Cu, Cr or Mo content in steel, and the BF content in CGHAZ and GB and AF content in FGHAZ increased.

Abstract Purpose: To investigate the effects of exenatide on renal injury in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Methods: Fifty SD rats were randomly divided into normal control, model, exenatide-1, exenatide-2 and exenatide-3 groups, 10 rats in each group. The diabetic nephropathy model was constructed in later 4 groups. Then, the later 3 groups were treated with 2, 4 and 8 μg/kg exenatide for 8 weeks, respectively. The serum and urine biochemical indexes and oxidative stress and inflammatory indexes in renal tissue were determined. Results: Compared to the model group, in exenatide-3 group the serum fasting plasma glucose and hemoglobin A1c levels were significantly decreased, the fasting insulin level was significantly increased, the renal index and blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and 24 h urine protein levels were significantly decreased, the renal tissue superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase levels were significantly increased, the malondialdehyde level was significantly decreased, and the renal tissue tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin 6, hypersensitive C-reactive protein and chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 5 levels were significantly decreased P<0.05). Conclusions: Exenatide can mitigate the renal injury in diabetic rats. The mechanisms may be related to its resistance of oxidative stress and inflammatory response in renal tissue.

Cerebrovascular diseases pose a serious threat to human survival and quality of life and represent a major cause of human death and disability. Recently, the incidence of cerebrovascular diseases has increased yearly. Rapid and accurate diagnosis and evaluation of cerebrovascular diseases are of great importance to reduce the incidence, morbidity and mortality of cerebrovascular diseases. With the rapid development of medical ultrasound, the clinical relationship between ultrasound imaging technology and the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases has become increasingly close. Ultrasound techniques such as transcranial acoustic angiography, doppler energy imaging, three-dimensional craniocerebral imaging and ultrasound thrombolysis are novel and valuable techniques in the study of cerebrovascular diseases. In this review, we introduce some of the new ultrasound techniques from both published studies and ongoing trials that have been confirmed to be convenient and effective methods. However, additional evidence from future studies will be required before some of these techniques can be widely applied or recommended as alternatives.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the species and breeding density of acaroid mites in the stored rhizomatic traditional Chinese medicinal materials in Anhui province, China, in order to supply evidences for control and prevention of such species. Methods: The stored traditional Chinese medicinal materials of root-stock origins were collected in 30 herb stores and warehouses in 17 cities across Anhui province. Mites were collected by using Tullgren funnel and directicopy, and identified under microscopy. Results: Twenty-two species of acaroid mites, belonging to 15 genera under 5 families, were identified from the total 47 stored samples, in which Tyrophagus putrescentiae, Acarus farinae, Carpoglyphus lactis, and Cologlyplus berlesei were predominant. Conclusion: Breeding density of acaroid mites was high in the stored rhizomatic traditional Chinese medicinal materials in Anhui province. This indicates that the traditional Chinese medicinal herbs of root-stock origins in storage are seriously contaminated by the acaroid mites, and such infestation should be positively controlled to reduce the potential harm to public health.

Resumen Objetivo: investigar las especies y densidad de especies de ácaros en los productos a bases de raíces de la medicina tradicional china en la provincia de Anhui, China, con el fin de proporcionar evidencias para el control y la prevención de tal infestación. Métodos: se recogieron muestras de productos procedentes de raíces usados en la medicina tradicional china en 30 tiendas y almacenes de 17 ciudades de la provincia china de Anhui. Se recogieron las muestras mediante el embudo de Tullgren y la directicopia y los ácaros fueron identificados bajo microscopia. Resultados: se identificaron 22 especies de ácaros, pertenecientes a 15 géneros menores de 5 familias a partir de 47 muestras almacenadas, en las que Tyrophagus putrescentiae, Acarus farinae, Carpoglyphus lactis y Cologlyplus berlesei eran predominantes. Conclusión: la densidad de ácaros fue alta en el las muestras a base de raíces en el material almacenado para usarse como remedio en la medicina tradicional china en la provincia de Anhui. El control de esta infestación puede reducir el daño potencial para la salud pública.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the prevalence of trematode Aspidogastrea in the freshwater mussels in the Yangtze River basin within Anhui province, China. Methods: We initially harvested the freshwater mussels living in the Yangtze River running through Anhui area, and labeled them with corresponding number. Then the samples were dissected for isolating the flukes, which were identified by conventional staining. Results: Infection rate of trematode Aspidogastrea in freshwater mussels in the Yangtze River basin within the territory of Anhui province was 30.38% (103/339) in general, and a total of 912 flukes of Aspidogastrea were detected in the 103 mussels, with average infection rate of 8.85 for each mussel. Conclusion: Trematode Aspidogastrea is prevalent in the freshwater bivalves living in the Yangtze River basin running through Anhui area, and the treamatode was identified as Aspidogaster sp. belong to Aspidogaste under Aspidogastridae of Aspidogastrea.

Resumen Objetivo: investigar la prevalencia de trematodos Aspidogastrea en mejillones de agua dulce en la cuenca del río Yangtze en la provincia de Anhui, China. Métodos: se recogieron mejillones de agua dulce en el río Yangtze a su paso por la provincia de Anhui y se etiquetaron con su número correspondiente. Posteriormente se disecaron para aislar los trematodos por medio de tinción convencional. Resultados: la tasa de infección de trematodos en mejillones de agua dulce en la cuenca del río Yangtze, en el territorio de la provincia de Anhui fue 30,38% (103/339), en general, y un total de 912 trematodos fueron detectados en 103 mejillones, con tasa promedio de infección de 8,85 por cada mejillón. Conclusión: el trematodo Aspidogastrea es frecuente en los bivalvos de agua dulce que viven en la cuenca del río Yangtze, en la región de Anhui, y el trematodo fue identificado como Aspidogaster sp. pertenecen a la familia Aspidogaste bajo el género Aspidogastridae de Aspidogastrea.
