RESUMO Objetivo Elaborar um indicador composto denominado Índice Videoquimográfico da Função Glótica – IVFG, a partir de parâmetros da videoquimografia digital, captados pelo exame de videolaringoscopia de alta velocidade de mulheres sem e com alterações laríngeas de etiologia comportamental. Método A amostra foi composta por 92 mulheres, destas 55 apresentaram disfonia comportamental, com presença de alterações laríngeas e vocais, e 37 mulheres sem alterações laríngeas e vocais, entre 18 a 45 anos. A avaliação vocal foi realizada por consenso pela análise perceptivo-auditiva da vogal /a/ em frequência e intensidade habituais, e classificação através do grau geral da disfonia, onde G0 indicou qualidade vocal neutra e G1 a 3 qualidade vocal alterada. As imagens laríngeas foram obtidas pela gravação da emissão da vogal /i/, em frequência e intensidade habituais para análise da videoquimografia digital. A construção do IVFG se deu pela escolha do ponto médio da glote para análise e, elaboração foi realizada regressão logística pelo programa MINITAB 19. Resultados A regressão logística contou com duas etapas, sendo que a etapa 1 constou da análise de todas as variáveis, onde as variáveis abertura máxima e fechamento glótico apresentaram significância estatística (p-valor <0.05) e o modelo se encontrou bem ajustado de acordo com o teste de Hosmer-Lemeshow (p-valor=0,794); na etapa 2, as variáveis selecionadas foram novamente analisadas e o modelo também se mostrou bem ajustado (p-valor=0,198). O IVFG foi definido por IVFG=e^(8,1318-0,2941AbMax-0,0703FechGlo)/1+e^(8,1318-0,2941AbMax-0,0703FechGlo). Conclusão O IVFG apresenta valor de corte igual a 0,71. A probabilidade de acerto é de 81,5%, sensibilidade 76,4%, especificidade de 89,2%.

ABSTRACT Purpose To develop the Videokymographic Index of Glottic Function (VIGF), a composite indicator from digital videokymography parameters, captured by high-speed videolaryngoscopy exams of women with and without laryngeal alterations of behavioral etiology. Methods The sample consisted of 92 women aged between 18 and 45 years. Fifty-five (55) women with behavioral dysphonia, presenting with laryngeal and voice alterations, and thirty-seven (37) women without any laryngeal and voice alterations. Voice evaluation was performed by consensus via an auditory-perceptual analysis of the sustained vowel /a/ at a habitual pitch and loudness. Voice classification was obtained by means of a general degree of dysphonia, where G0 indicated neutral voice quality and G1 to G3 indicated altered voice quality. Laryngeal images were captured via digital videokymography analysis of a sustained vowel /i/ at a habitual pitch and loudness. The VIGF was based on the midpoint of the glottal region for analysis. Logistic regression was performed using the MINITAB 19 program. Results Logistic regression was composed of two stages: Stage 1 consisted of the analysis of all variables, where the maximum opening and closed quotient variables showed statistical significance (p-value <0.05) and the model was well adjusted according to the Hosmer-Lemeshow test (p-value=0.794). Stage 2 consisted of the re-analysis of the selected variables, also showing a well-adjusted model (p-value=0.198). The VIGF was defined as follows: VIGF=e^(8.1318-0.2941AbMax-0.0703FechGlo)/1+e^(8.1318-0.2941AbMax-0.0703FechGlo). Conclusion The VIGF demonstrated a cut-off value equal to 0.71. The probability of success was 81.5%, sensitivity 76.4%, and specificity 89.2%.

RESUMO Entende-se que as lajes pré-fabricadas mistas são sistemas compostos, nos quais se constituem por vigotas de concreto (armado ou protendido), elementos de preenchimento e uma camada de solidarização em concreto armado. É um sistema construtivo muito utilizado no mundo, principalmente, em países ibero-americanos, como o Brasil e Espanha, por exemplo. No entanto, ainda há desconhecimento sobre a compatibilidade entre os resultados teóricos para os experimentais, uma vez que são sistemas compostos e as variáveis podem ser determinantes nos modelos de previsão. Portanto, este estudo teve como objetivo comparar os resultados teóricos e experimentais de lajes mistas pré-fabricadas. Para isso, desenvolveu um programa experimental de ensaios de flexão para uma laje com vigota central protendida reforçada de cada lado com elementos de laje e uma cobertura de concreto armado com malha de 5 cm. As variáveis experimentais foram o diâmetro da armadura de aço e do material de enchimento (telhas de cerâmica ou blocos de poliestireno expandido). Este estudo tem 4 etapas: caracterização dos materiais, ensaios mecânicos da vigota, efeito do material de enchimento no comportamento estrutural e comportamento teórico e experimental do sistema na fissuração e ruptura. Vigotas protendidas romperam na região de compressão durante os testes de flexão, independentemente do diâmetro da armadura de aço. O material de enchimento não alterou a carga de ruptura das lajes, mas os blocos de EPS permitiram deflexões consideráveis. Em relação ao momento fletor máximo, os modelos teóricos selecionados apresentaram concordância de até 99% nos valores experimentais para vigotas reforçadas com aço de 4 mm de diâmetro. Entretanto, para as nervuras com fios de 5 e 6 mm, a análise não se mostrou tão válida, chegando a uma relação de aproximadamente, 70 e 60%, respectivamente.

ABSTRACT The composite precast slabs are composite systems, in which they are constituted by concrete joists (reinforced or prestressed), filling components and a solidarization layer in reinforced concrete. It is a construction system widely used in the world, mainly in Ibero-American countries, such as Brazil and Spain, for example. However, there is still a lack of knowledge about the compatibility between the theoretical results and the experimental ones, since they are composite systems, and the variables can be decisive in the theoretical models. Therefore, this study aimed to compare the theoretical and experimental results of precast composite slabs. This study developed an experimental program of flexing tests for a slab with pre-stressed center joist reinforced on each side with half-longitudinal slab components and a 5 cm mesh-reinforced concrete cover. Experimental variables were the diameter of steel reinforcement and filler material (ceramic blocks or Expanded Polystyrene – EPS blocks). This study has 4 steps: materials characterization, mechanical tests of the joist, effect of filler material in the structural behavior and theoretical and experimental system behavior at fissuring and rupturing. Prestressed joists ruptured in compression regions during bending tests regardless of the diameter of steel reinforcement due to concrete low strength. Filler material did not alter the slabs rupturing load, but EPS blocks allowed considerable deflections. Regarding maximum bending moment, the selected theoretical models had an agreement of up to 99% on experimental values for 4 mm diameter steel-reinforced joists. However, for the joints with 5 and 6 mm wires, the analysis did not prove to be so valid, reaching a ratio of approximately 70 and 60%, respectively.

ABSTRACT Reactive powder concrete (RPC) is one type of advanced cementitious composite that has been increasingly used. Its high mechanical strength enables the application of the composite in bolder structures. Considering its recent history of use, there is a lack of knowledge about this materials durability. Therefore, this paper aimed to evaluate the behavior of hybrid fiber reinforced RPC under accelerated testing, evaluating different hybrid fiber combinations. Composites contained metallic microfibers and polypropylene fibers in the following proportions: 100/0%, 75/25%, 50/50%, and 0/0% (metallic/polypropylene). Accelerated tests were performed (salt spray, carbonation and acid immersion), as well as 3D microtomography analyses, in order to visualize the distribution of fibers throughout the matrix. Results indicated high durability under some aggressive wet environments, with no signs of carbonation, nor damage caused by salt spray, and small damage related to sulfuric acid attack. In addition, it was possible to observe in the 3D microtomography images that fibers are well distributed in the matrix volume, and that there is no transition zone in the material due to the reduced volume void.

Resumen El desarrollo de la construcción civil ha llevado a sistemas de construcción industrializados. Uno de estos es el Light Steel Framing (LSF), marcos de acero conformados en frío yuxtapuestos con cerramiento de paneles de tableros de cemento, madera o placas de yeso. Todavía hay una preocupación acerca de su seguridad contra incendios. Este estudio objetivó verificar la resistencia al fuego de los sistemas de LSF con dos tipos de placas de yeso, uno compuesto por placas estándar y el otro con yeso resistentes al fuego. Las muestras fueron analizadas a través de la curva de fuego [1]. Durante las pruebas, se evaluó la integridad, aislamiento térmico y estabilidad estructural de cada solución. Los resultados presentaron el sistema con placas de yeso resistentes al fuego más seguro que la placa de yeso estándar. En ambos casos, el fracaso fue debido a la pérdida de integridad de las articulaciones de los paneles.

Abstract The technological development of civil construction sector has led to the exploration of industrialized building systems. One of this system is the structural Light Steel Framing (LSF), which consists in cold formed steel frames juxtaposed with drywall enclosure of different materials, such as cement boards, wood boards and plasterboards. Despite of the advantages of this system, there is still a concern about their fire safety. Therefore, this paper aimed to verify the fire resistance of LSF systems with two types of plasterboard, one composed of standard plasterboard (common) and the other one by fire-resistant plasterboards. The samples were tested according to the [1]. It was evaluated integrity, thermal insulation and structural stability of each solution. The results presented the system with fire-resistant plasterboards more secure when compared to the standard plasterboard (common). In both cases, the sample’s failure occurred due to the loss of integrity in the panels' joints.

In this paper, a procedure for the on-line process control of variables is proposed. This procedure consists of inspecting the m-th item from every m produced items and deciding, at each inspection, whether the process is out-of-control. Two sets of limits, warning (µ0 ± W) and control (µ0 ± C), are used. If the value of the monitored statistic falls beyond the control limits or if a sequence of h observations falls between the warning limits and the control limits, the production is stopped for adjustment; otherwise, production goes on. The properties of an ergodic Markov chain are used to obtain an expression for the average cost per item. The parameters (the sampling interval m, the widths of the warning, the control limits W and C(W < C), and the sequence length (h) are optimized by minimizing the cost function. A numerical example illustrates the proposed procedure.

O procedimento de controle on-line de processos por atributos, proposto por Taguchi et al. (1989), consiste em amostrar um item a cada m produzidos e decidir, a cada inspeção, se houve ou não a redução da fração de itens conformes produzidos. Caso o item inspecionado for não conforme, pára-se o processo para ajuste. Como o sistema de inspeção pode estar sujeito a erros de classificação, desenvolve-se um modelo probabilístico que considera classificações repetidas e independentes do item amostrado em um sistema de controle com inspeção imperfeita. Utilizando-se as propriedades de uma cadeia de Markov ergódica, obtém-se uma expressão do custo médio do sistema de controle, que pode ser minimizada por três parâmetros: o intervalo entre inspeções; o número de classificações repetidas; e o número mínimo de classificações conformes (dentre as classificações repetidas), para julgar um item como conforme. Um exemplo numérico ilustra o procedimento proposto.

The procedure to control on-line processes for attributes proposed by Taguchi et al. (1989) consists of sampling a single item at very m produced ones. If the examined item is non-conforming, the process is said to be out of control (the fraction of conforming item is reduced) and it is stopped for adjustment. However, the inspection procedure is subject to misclassification errors. So a probabilistic model was developed considering results of the repetitive and independent classifications of the examined item. Employing properties of an ergodic Markov chain, an expression of the expected cost function for the control system was obtained to be minimized by three parameters: sampling interval; number of the repetitive classifications; minor number of conforming classifications (among the repetitive classifications) to declare an item as conforming. A numerical example illustrates the proposed model.

Neste trabalho determinamos o tamanho ótimo amostral em uma amostragem de aceitação zero-defeitos com retificação na presença de erros de diagnóstico. O desenvolvimento é baseado em um modelo econômico. Os procedimentos são implementados no Matlab e ilustrados através de um exemplo numérico.

In this paper we present the optimum sampling size in zero-defect acceptance with rectification sampling scheme in the presence of misclassification errors. Its development is based on an economical model. The procedures are implemented in a program using the software Matlab and illustrated by an example.

Desenvolvemos um modelo econômico para minimizar o custo médio total em função dos erros de classificação e do custo de cada classificação.

In this paper we study the optimal number of independent classifications on each produced unit when there are two types of classification errors: the type I error where a product is classified as non-conform when actually it is conform, and the type II error where a product is classified as conform when actually it isn't. We develop an economic model to minimize the total expected cost as a function of the classification errors and the cost of each classification.

Neste trabalho estudamos o número ótimo de classificações independentes por unidade produzida supondo que haja dois tipos de erro: o tipo I, no qual classifica-se um produto como não-conforme quando ele na realidade é conforme; e o tipo II, no qual classifica-se um produto como conforme quando na realidade é não-conforme. Desenvolvemos um modelo econômico para minimizar o custo médio total em função dos erros de classificação e do custo de cada classificação. Pela complexidade da função-objetivo associada ao modelo, utilizamos um procedimento exaustivo de busca juntamente com um limitante superior do valor ótimo. Todo o procedimento computacional teve uma implementação relativamente simples e está disponível como uma planilha eletrônica do Excel e um código do software estatístico Minitab.

In this study we investigate the optimal number of independent classifications per unit produced when there are two types of classification errors: type I, where product is classified as conforming when it is not in reality, and type II, where product is classified as non-conforming when in reality it is conforming. We developed an economic model to minimize the total medium cost as a function of the classification errors and the cost of each classification. Due to the complexity of the objective function associated to the model, we used an exhaustive procedure with an upper bound of the optimal value. The procedure may be implemented easily and is available either as an Excel spreadsheet or as a macro of the statistical software Minitab.

Nos testes para atributos é importante avaliar a eficiência dos inspetores que julgam a qualidade do produto. Este trabalho apresenta um método bayesiano para avaliação de inspetores em testes de conformidade e não-conformidade. Avaliações em que não se encontram disponíveis a real classificação dos produtos também são discutidas.

When testing for attributes, it is important to assess the inspectors' efficiency as they judge the product quality by classifying it as conforming or non-conforming. This work presents a bayesian method for evaluating sensory inspectors, including discussions about situations in which classifications are made for which the real state of the product is not known.
