Abstract Objectives To evaluate outcomes of oral food challenge (OFC) test to assess tolerance in infants with non-IgE-mediated cow's milk allergy (CMA) with gastrointestinal manifestations and explore clinical data predictive of these outcomes. Methods Single-center retrospective study including infants (age < 12 months) who were referred for CMA between 2000 and 2018 and underwent OFC on follow-up. A univariate logistic regression test was performed to evaluate variables associated with the outcomes of the follow-up OFC test. Results Eighty-two patients were included, 50% were male. Eighteen patients had a positive OFC test (22%). Most patients had presented with hematochezia (77%). The median age of symptom onset was 30 days. Two-thirds of the patients were on appropriate infant formula (extensively hydrolyzed or amino acid-based formula), exclusively or in association with breastfeeding. The median time on an elimination diet before the OFC test was 8 months (Q1 6 - Q3 11 months). All cases with positive follow-up OFC tests (n= 18) had been exposed to cow's milk-based formula before the first clinical manifestation of CMA. Five out of eight cases with Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES) had positive OFC tests. Exposure to cow's milk-based formula before diagnosis, a history of other food allergies, hematochezia and diarrhea were predictors of a positive OFC test. Conclusions In infants with non-IgE-mediated CMPA with gastrointestinal manifestations, the use of cow's milk-based formula, a history of other food allergies, and hematochezia and diarrhea upon initial presentation were associated factors for the later achievement of tolerance.

Abstract The alkali-silica reaction (ASR) is one of the problems that can compromise concrete durability, as the chemical reactions between the reactive aggregate and concrete pore solution, specifically sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), calcium (Ca2+) and hydroxyl (OH-) in the presence of moisture, trigger expansion and cracking of concrete elements. The use of pozzolanic materials, such as finely ground glass powder (particles smaller than 75μm), to partially replace cement has been widely studied and has demonstrated beneficial results. However, because the behavior of pozzolans towards ASR is not completely understood yet, this work evaluates the effect of incorporating ground glass powder into cementitious composites against ASR. To this end, 8% silica fume was used as a control admixture, and four levels of glass powder (10, 20, 30, and 50%) were incorporated into the cementitious mixture to partially replace cement. Expansion tests were carried out in accordance with NBR15577-4 (ABNT, 2018) on mortar bars using the accelerated test method to assess the mitigation of expansions. The results show that the expansions caused by ASR decreased with the increasing content of glass powder in the cement mixtures. Furthermore, only the 50% level reduced the expansions to a safe value according to the Brazilian standard.

Resumo A reação álcali-sílica (RAS) é um dos problemas que pode comprometer a durabilidade do concreto, uma vez que as reações químicas entre o agregado reativo e a solução porosa do concreto, em particular, sódio (Na+), potássio (K+), cálcio (Ca2+) e hidroxila (OH-) na presença de umidade, desencadeiam a expansão e fissuração dos elementos de concreto. O uso de materiais pozolânicos, como o pó de vidro finamente moído (com partículas abaixo de 75μm), para substituir parcialmente o cimento, tem sido amplamente estudado e demonstrou resultados benéficos. No entanto, devido ao fato de que o comportamento das pozolanas em relação à RAS ainda não é completamente compreendido, este trabalho avalia o efeito da incorporação de pó de vidro moído em compósitos cimentícios frente a RAS. Para isso, 8% de sílica ativa como controle, e quatro teores de pó de vidro (10, 20, 30 e 50%) foram incorporados à mistura cimentícia em substituição parcial ao cimento. Testes de expansão foram realizados de acordo com a NBR15577-4 (ABNT, 2018) em barras de argamassa usando o método de teste acelerado para avaliar a mitigação das expansões. Os resultados mostram que as expansões causadas pela RAS diminuíram com o aumento do teor de pó de vidro das misturas de cimento. Além disso, apenas o nível de 50% reduziu as expansões a um valor seguro de acordo com a norma brasileira.

ABSTRACT Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third most common cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. The Brazilian Society of Hepatology (SBH) published in 2020 the updated recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of HCC. Since then, new data have emerged in the literature, including new drugs approved for the systemic treatment of HCC that were not available at the time. The SBH board conducted an online single-topic meeting to discuss and review the recommendations on the systemic treatment of HCC. The invited experts were asked to conduct a systematic review of the literature on each topic related to systemic treatment and to present the summary data and recommendations during the meeting. All panelists gathered together for discussion of the topics and elaboration of the updated recommendations. The present document is the final version of the reviewed manuscript containing the recommendations of SBH and its aim is to assist healthcare professionals, policy-makers, and planners in Brazil and Latin America with systemic treatment decision-making of patients with HCC.

RESUMO O carcinoma hepatocelular (CHC) é uma das principais causas de mortalidade relacionada a câncer no Brasil e no mundo. A Sociedade Brasileira de Hepatologia (SBH) publicou em 2020 a atualização das recomendações da SBH para o diagnóstico e tratamento do CHC. Desde então, novas evidências científicas sobre o tratamento sistêmico do CHC foram relatadas na literatura médica, incluindo novos medicamentos aprovados que não estavam disponíveis na época do último consenso, levando a diretoria da SBH a promover uma reunião monotemática on-line para discutir e rever as recomendações sobre o tratamento sistêmico do CHC. Um grupo de experts foi convidado para realizar uma revisão sistemática da literatura e apresentar uma atualização, baseada em evidências científicas, sobre cada tópico relacionado ao tratamento sistêmico e a apresentar os dados e recomendações resumidas durante a reunião. Todos os painelistas se reuniram para discutir os tópicos e elaborar as recomendações atualizadas. O presente documento é a versão final do manuscrito revisado, contendo as recomendações da SBH, e seu objetivo é auxiliar os profissionais de saúde, formuladores de políticas e planejadores no Brasil e na América Latina na tomada de decisões sobre o tratamento sistêmico de pacientes com CHC.

RESUMO OBJETIVO Avaliar fatores sociodemográficos associados ao consumo de alimentos ultraprocessados e a evolução temporal do consumo no Brasil entre 2008 e 2018. MÉTODOS Foram utilizados dados do consumo alimentar de indivíduos com idade ≥ 10 anos das Pesquisas de Orçamentos Familiares (POF) 2008–2009 e 2017–2018. Os alimentos foram agrupados segundo a classificação Nova. Modelos de regressão linear brutos e ajustados foram utilizados para avaliar a associação entre características sociodemográficas e o consumo de ultraprocessados em 2017–2018 e a variação temporal de seu consumo entre 2008 e 2018. RESULTADOS Alimentos ultraprocessados representaram 19,7% das calorias em 2017–2018. A análise ajustada mostrou que seu consumo foi maior no sexo feminino ( versus masculino) e nas regiões Sul e Sudeste ( versus Norte), e menor em negros ( versus brancos) e na área rural ( versus urbana), além de diminuir com o aumento da idade e aumentar com escolaridade e renda. O consumo de ultraprocessados aumentou 1,02 pontos percentuais (pp) de 2008–2009 a 2017–2018, sendo este aumento mais expressivo em homens (+1,59 pp), negros (+2,04 pp), indígenas (+5,96 pp), na área rural (+2,43 pp), naqueles com até 4 anos de estudo (+1,18 pp), no quinto mais baixo de renda (+3,54 pp) e nas regiões Norte (+2,95 pp) e Nordeste (+3,11 pp). Por outro lado, seu consumo se reduziu na maior faixa de escolaridade (-3,30 pp) e no quinto mais alto de renda (-1,65 pp). CONCLUSÕES Os segmentos socioeconômicos e demográficos que tiveram menor consumo relativo de ultraprocessados em 2017–2018 são justamente os que apresentaram um aumento mais expressivo na análise temporal, apontando para uma tendência de padronização nacional em um patamar de consumo mais alto.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To evaluate sociodemographic factors associated with the consumption of ultra-processed foods and the temporal evolution of their consumption in Brazil between 2008 and 2018. METHODS The study used food consumption data of individuals aged ≥ 10 years from 2008–2009 and 2017–2018 Pesquisas de Orçamentos Familiares (POF - Household Budget Surveys), grouping the foods according to the Nova classification. We used crude and adjusted linear regression models to assess the association between sociodemographic characteristics and consumption of ultra-processed foods in 2017–2018 and the temporal variation in their consumption between 2008 and 2018. RESULTS Ultra-processed foods accounted for 19.7% of calories in 2017–2018. The adjusted analysis showed that their consumption was higher in women (versus men) and the South and Southeast regions (versus North) and lower in blacks (versus whites) and rural areas (versus urban), in addition to decreasing with the increased age and increasing with higher education and income. Consumption of ultra-processed foods increased by 1.02 percentage points (pp) from 2008–2009 to 2017–2018. This increase was significantly higher among men (+1.59 pp), black people (+2.04 pp), indigenous (+5.96 pp), in the rural area (+2.43 pp), those with up to 4 years of schooling (+1.18 pp), in the lowest income quintile (+3.54 pp), and the North (+2.95 pp) and Northeast (+3.11 pp) regions. On the other hand, individuals in the highest level of schooling (-3.30 pp) and the highest income quintile (-1.65 pp) reduced their consumption. CONCLUSIONS The socioeconomic and demographic segments with the lowest relative consumption of ultra-processed foods in 2017–2018 are precisely those that showed the most significant increase in the temporal analysis, pointing to a trend towards national standardization at a higher level of consumption.

Abstract Objective: The present study aimed to perform a morphological and morphometric analysis of cochlear structures of C57BL/6J mice receiving oral melatonin for a 12-month period. Methods: 32 male C57BL/6J were divided into control and melatonin groups. Control received saline and ethanol solution and melatonin group, 50 μL of 10 mg of melatonin/kg/day orally for a 12-month period. After de experiment the animals were sacrificed into a 40% concentration of CO2 chamber, and the blades were morphological and morphometrically analyzed. Results: The melatonin group revealed a higher median density of viable cells (45 ± 10.28 cells/100 μm2, 31–73, vs. 32 ± 7.47 cells/100 μm2, 25–48). The median area of stria vascularis was 55.0 ± 12.27 cells/100 μm2 (38–80) in the control, and 59.0 ± 16.13 cells/100 μm2 (40–134) in the melatonin group. The morphometric analysis of the spiral ligament reveals a higher median of total viable neurons in the melatonin (41 ± 7.47 cells/100 μm2, 27–60) than in the control group (31 ± 5.68 cells/100 μm2, 21–44). Conclusion: Although melatonin is a potent antioxidant, it does not completely neutralize the occurrence of presbycusis; however, it may delay the onset of this condition. Level of evidence: 3.

ABSTRACT Coronary artery fistula draining into the coronary sinus is a rare vascular malformation, and its diagnosis and clinical manifestations usually occur late. We describe the case of a 72-year-old female patient with dyspnea on exertion (New York Heart Association Class III) associated with palpitations. The transthoracic echocardiogram showed significant tricuspid insufficiency. Cardiac catheterization showed aneurysm of the circumflex coronary artery and fistula of this artery draining into the coronary sinus. The patient underwent fistula ligation and tricuspid valve repair, with excellent surgical results.

Resumo Objetivou-se verificar a composição florístico-estrutural das plântulas regenerantes a partir do banco de sementes de três áreas em recuperação pós-distúrbios antrópicos, em ambientes alto-montanos do Parque Nacional de São Joaquim. As áreas 1 (A1) e 2 (A2) foram originadas da regeneração após o corte de remanescentes florestais e a área 3 (A3) foi originada da regeneração de campo nativo após práticas de pastoreio. As três áreas encontram-se protegidas há quase dez anos após a finalização dos distúrbios. Foram instaladas transecções de 20 × 100 m em cada área, subdivididas em 20 parcelas de 10 × 10 m, nas quais foram coletadas amostras de solos e serapilheira, totalizando 60 amostras. Os materiais coletados foram conduzidos à casa de vegetação, onde foram submetidos ao mesmo tratamento, com irrigação diária por aspersão. Foi realizada a avaliação quali-quantitativa mensal das plântulas emergentes, identificando-as e classificando-as quanto à origem (nativa ou exótica) e às formas de vida. Foram amostradas 5.604 plântulas, distribuídas em 62 táxons. Houve predominância de espécies herbáceas (74,2%) e nativas (67,7%), sendo Cyperus odoratus L. e Juncus capillaceus Lam. as mais abundantes. As áreas originadas a partir de desmatamentos apresentaram maior heterogeneidade de espécies e hábitos e maior densidade de plântulas regenerantes do banco de sementes, quando comparado com a área de Campo de Altitude. Conclui-se que o banco de sementes das áreas alto-montanas estudadas apresenta potencial de colonização imediata após distúrbios, com elevada riqueza e densidade de espécies herbáceas, que garantem o recobrimento do solo e, assim, o início e o suporte necessário para o avanço da dinâmica sucessional.

Abstract We aimed to verify the floristic-structural composition of regenerative seedlings of seed banks from areas under anthropic post-disturbance restoration process, in “Planalto Sul Catarinense” region, upper-montane environments. In each of three sites (Area 1, 2 and 3) at São Joaquim National Park, protected for almost ten years, but with different land-use history, we allocated one 20 x 100 m transect, sub-divided in 20 plots, where a total of 60 samples of soil and litter were collected. While the Areas 1 (A1) and 2 (A2) were originally covered by natural forest, the Area 3 (A3) can be considered as cattle raising grassland. In a greenhouse, all the collected material was submitted to the same procedure, with daily sprinkler irrigation. After the seed germination in trays, we performed a monthly qualitative and quantitative evaluation of emergent seedlings that were identified and classified according to origin (native and exotic) and life form. In one year, 5,604 seedlings were counted, belonging to 62 taxa. There was predominance of herbs (74.2%) and native species (67.7%), being Cyperus odoratus L. and Juncus capillaceus Lam. the most abundant. When compared to the original grassland area, those originated from past deforestation showed a greater species and life form heterogeneity as well as greater seedling density emergence from the collected seed bank. We concluded that the studied seed banks have the potential to support a prompt seedling colonization after disturbances, ensuring the soil cover, and thus, the necessary initial support for the advance of successional dynamics.

RESUMO Atualmente, as alterações estéticas faciais e a insatisfação com a autoimagem são influências que motivam a busca por procedimentos estéticos rápidos, não cirúrgicos e menos invasivos. Por esse motivo, a procura de pacientes que procuram por procedimentos estéticos orofaciais é crescente. O objetivo deste estudo foi elencar as complicações decorrentes dos procedimentos de harmonização orofacial por meio de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, identificando quais tipos de complicações e áreas são mais acometidas. As seguintes bases de dados foram pesquisadas: Medline (PubMed), SciELO, Scopus, Cochrane, Lilacs e Web of Science, de março a setembro de 2020, selecionando os estudos que apresentavam os seguintes critérios de inclusão: estudos originais em humanos sobre complicações após procedimentos de harmonização orofacial. Foram selecionados 33 estudos da literatura que apresentavam relatos de complicações em pacientes após o procedimento de harmonização orofacial na testa, nariz, olhos, região periocular e lábios. Mesmo a execução de procedimentos estéticos faciais menos invasivos pode acarretar possíveis complicações imediatas ou tardias após o procedimento, principalmente na região periocular e nos olhos. É importante alertar previamente os profissionais para essa possibilidade.

ABSTRACT Currently, facial aesthetic changes and dissatisfaction with self-image are influences that motivate the search for quick, non-surgical and less invasive cosmetic procedures. For this reason, the demand for patients looking for orofacial aesthetic procedures is increasing. The objective of this study was List the complications resulting from orofacial harmonization procedures through a systematic literature review, identifying which types of complications and areas are most affected. The following databases were searched: Medline (PubMed), SciELO, Scopus, Cochrane, Lilacs and Web of Science, from March to September 2020, selecting the studies that presented the following inclusion criteria: original studies in humans, about complications after orofacial harmonization procedures. Thirty-three studies from the literature were selected that presented reports of complications in patients after the orofacial harmonization procedure in the forehead, nose, eyes, periocular region and lips. Even the execution of less invasive facial cosmetic procedures can cause possible immediate or late complications after the procedure, especially in the periocular region and eyes. It is important to make professionals aware of this possibility beforehand.

Resumo Objetivos mapear programas de intervenção para crianças, adolescentes e pais, ou díade (doentes oncológicos e filhos) a vivenciar o cancro parental. Método scoping review segundo a metodologia recomendada pelo Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) e o Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews - Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Resultados foram identificados 29 programas de intervenção: 13 dirigidos à díade, 11 a crianças e adolescentes e 5 dirigidos aos pais. Dos programas identificados, 10 não especificam a tipologia das intervenções propostas, 9 referenciam intervenções psicoeducacionais, 7 referenciam intervenções educacionais e 3 referenciam intervenções do tipo psicossocial. Conclusão e Implicações para a prática verificou-se que a maioria dos programas identificados se dirige à díade crianças/adolescentes e pais. As caraterísticas dos programas e das intervenções diferem entre estudos, no entanto as intervenções psicoeducacionais são as mais prevalentes. O mapeamento de programas de intervenção e promoção da adaptação ao cancro parental contribui para a síntese da evidência existente sobre esta temática, conhecimento sobre as intervenções desenvolvidas e resultados obtidos, consciencializando os profissionais de saúde, nomeadamente enfermeiros, e decisores da área da saúde para a relevância da sua implementação na prática clínica, tendo em vista a qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem prestados a essas famílias.

Abstract Objectives to map intervention programs for children, adolescents and parents, or binomial (oncology patients and children) experiencing parental cancer. Method this scoping review was carried out according to the methodology recommended by Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews - Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Results a total of 29 intervention programs were identified: 13 directed to the binomial, 11 to children and adolescents and 5 to parents. Of all the identified programs, 10 do not specify the typology of proposed interventions, 9 refer to psychoeducational interventions, 7 refer to educational interventions and 3 refer to psychosocial type interventions. Conclusion and implications for practice it was verified that most of the programs identified are directed to children/adolescents and parents. The characteristics of programs and interventions differ between studies; however, the psychoeducational interventions are the most prevalent. The mapping of intervention programs and promotion of adaptation to parental cancer contributes to the synthesis of existing evidence on this theme, knowledge about interventions developed and the obtained results, raising awareness among health professionals, namely nurses, and decision makers in the health area for relevance of its implementation in clinical practice, considering the quality of nursing care provided to these families.

Método scoping review según la metodología recomendada por Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) y el Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews - Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Resultados de identificaron 29 programas de intervención: 13 dirigidos a díada, 11 a niños y adolescentes y 5 a padres. De los programas identificados, 10 no especifican tipología de intervenciones propuestas, 9 refieren intervenciones psicoeducativas, 7 intervenciones educativas y 3 intervenciones psicosocial. Conclusión e implicaciones para la práctica se ha verificado que la mayoría de los programas identificados están dirigidos a díada niños/adolescentes y padres. Las características de los programas y las intervenciones difieren entre los estudios, sin embargo, las intervenciones psicoeducativas son más frecuentes. El mapeo de programas de intervención y promoción de la adaptación al cáncer parental contribuye a la síntesis de evidencia existente sobre este tema, el conocimiento sobre intervenciones desarrolladas y resultados obtenidos, sensibilizando profesionales de salud, a saber, enfermeros y tomadores de decisiones en el área de la salud por relevancia de su implementación en la práctica clínica, dada la calidad de los cuidados de enfermería prestados a estas familias.

Abstract Persea americana Mill., belonging to the family Lauraceae, is noteworthy for the large amount of ethnopharmacological information in its regard, attributing to it many and varied medicinal properties. The tea and alcoholic extracts made from its leaves are used in folk medicine to treat various ailments. This study was designed to analyze the cytogenotoxicity and underlying chemistry of aqueous and hydroalcoholic extracts of avocado leaves, using the Allium cepa and micronucleus tests. The results obtained by applying the experimental models demonstrate that the extracts did not have a genotoxic effect at any of the concentrations analyzed, and even demonstrated a certain protective effect, possibly due to the presence of flavonoids and phenols, both of which are antioxidant substances. However, the extracts did present a cytotoxic effect. There were numerous karyorrhectic cells and those with nuclear alterations related to cell death. At the highest concentrations, it was possible to observe cytoplasmic alterations and binucleated cells. The extracts also caused a significant reduction in the number of cells undergoing division. These effects can be a response to the phytochemical agents present in the extracts. The results suggest that the extracts contain bioactive components that deserve further studies related to cancer therapies.

ABSTRACT Objective: To characterize the temporal trend and spatial behavior of leprosy in Brazil, from 2011 to 2021. Methods: This is an ecological study, with data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System, obtained in June 2022. The annual detection rate of new leprosy cases per 100 thousand inhabitants was calculated. To estimate the trend of the 2011–2019 and 2011–2021 series, the polynomial regression model was used, testing first-, second-, and third-order polynomials. For spatiality, natural breaks were used and, later, the univariate global and local Moran’s indexes. A significance level of 5% was adopted and the analyses were performed using SPSS®, GeoDa®, and QGIS® software. Results: The findings indicated an upward trend in the incidence of leprosy in Brazilian regions and in 20 federative units between 2011 and 2019. However, there was a decrease in most of the country when considering the COVID-19 pandemic years. Spatiality showed that the highest detection rates throughout the period were observed in the North, Midwest, and Northeast regions, with high-risk clusters, and the lowest detection rates in the South and Southeast regions, with low-risk clusters. Conclusion: The leprosy detection rate showed an upward trend in Brazil between 2011 and 2019, with greater spatial concentration in the North, Northeast, and Midwest regions. Nevertheless, the study raises an alert for the programmatic sustainability of leprosy control in Brazil, considering the drop in the COVID-19 pandemic, presumably due to the influence of the reorganization of the development of initiatives and provision of services in face of COVID-19.

RESUMO Objetivo: Caracterizar a tendência temporal e o comportamento espacial da hanseníase no Brasil, de 2011 a 2021. Métodos: Estudo ecológico, com dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação, obtidos em junho de 2022. Calculou-se a taxa de detecção anual de casos novos de hanseníase por 100 mil habitantes. Para estimar a tendência das séries 2011–2019 e 2011–2021, empregou-se o modelo de regressão polinomial, testando polinômios de primeira, segunda e terceira ordem. Para a espacialidade, utilizaram-se as quebras naturais e, posteriormente, as estatísticas univariadas de Moran global e local. Adotou-se o nível de significância de 5% e as análises foram realizadas no Statistical Package for the Social Sciences — SPSS®, GeoDa® e QGIS®. Resultados: Os achados apontaram para a tendência crescente da incidência de hanseníase no Brasil, nas regiões e em 20 unidades da federação entre 2011 e 2019; contudo, houve decréscimo em grande parte do país ao se considerarem os anos pandêmicos. A espacialidade revelou que as maiores taxas de detecção, em todo o período, foram observadas nas Regiões Norte, Centro-Oeste e Nordeste, com clusters de alto risco, e as menores nas Regiões Sul e Sudeste, com aglomerados de baixo risco. Conclusão: A taxa de detecção da hanseníase apresentou tendência crescente no Brasil entre 2011 e 2019, com maior concentração espacial nas Regiões Norte, Nordeste e Centro-Oeste. Entretanto, o estudo traz um alerta para a sustentabilidade programática do controle da hanseníase no Brasil, dada a queda evidenciada na pandemia, presumivelmente por influência da reorganização da oferta de ações e serviços anteposta àCOVID-19.

RESUMO Objetivo compreender à luz do Modelo de Sistemas de Betty Neuman, a experiência de uma mulher-mãe a vivenciar uma situação de cancro; identificar as necessidades da mulher-mãe e prescrever intervenções de enfermagem em linguagem classificada. Método estudo de caso do tipo qualitativo, de uma mulher-mãe de um adolescente, a vivenciar cancro. Colheita de dados realizada em Coimbra, Portugal, em 2021, através de entrevista semiestruturada, apoiada por um guião fundamentado no Modelo de Betty Neuman. Tratamento de dados realizado com base na análise de conteúdo categorial. Resultados a análise do discurso da mãe possibilitou identificar categorias concordantes com as variáveis do modelo: fisiológicas, psicológicas, socioculturais, espirituais e desenvolvimentais. As dificuldades mais expressas pela mãe foram o medo, alterações provocadas pela doença e o desempenho do papel parental. Os diagnósticos de enfermagem foram definidos com base nos focos “aceitação do estado de saúde”, “medo”, “papel parental” e “coping familiar”, associando-os às respetivas intervenções de enfermagem. As intervenções focaram-se no apoio e na educação. Conclusão o modelo teórico contribuiu para compreender e identificar as necessidades da mãe a experienciar o cancro parental, facilitando a prescrição de intervenções de enfermagem em linguagem classificada. O modelo mostrou-se pertinente para futuras intervenções em pais a vivenciar situações semelhantes.

ABSTRACT Objective to understand, in the light of Betty Neuman’s Systems Model, the experience of a woman-mother with cancer, and identify the woman-mother’s needs and prescribe nursing interventions in classified language. Method a qualitative case study of a woman-mother of a teenager experiencing cancer. Data collection carried out in Coimbra, Portugal, in 2021, through a semi-structured interview, supported by a script based on Betty Neuman’s Systems Model. Data processing performed based on categorical content analysis. Results the analysis of a mother’s speech made it possible to identify categories in agreement with the model variables: physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual and developmental. The difficulties most expressed by the mother were fear, changes caused by the disease and parental role performance. The nursing diagnoses were defined based on the focuses “acceptance of health status”, “fear”, “parental role” and “family coping”, associating them with the respective nursing interventions. Interventions focused on support and education. Conclusion the theoretical model contributed to understanding and identifying the needs of a mother experiencing parental cancer, facilitating the prescription of nursing interventions in classified language. The model proved to be relevant for future interventions in parents experiencing similar situations.

RESUMEN Objetivo comprender, a la luz del Modelo de Sistemas de Betty Neuman, la experiencia de una mujer-madre que vive una situación de cáncer, e identificar las necesidades de la mujer-madre y prescribir intervenciones de enfermería en lenguaje clasificado. Método estudio de caso cualitativo de una mujer-madre de un adolescente en proceso de cáncer. Recopilación de datos realizada en Coimbra, Portugal, en 2021, a través de una entrevista semiestructurada, apoyada en un guión basado en el Modelo Betty Neuman. El procesamiento de datos fue realizado en base al análisis de contenido categórico. Resultados el análisis del discurso de la madre permitió identificar categorías de acuerdo con las variables del modelo: fisiológicas, psicológicas, socioculturales, espirituales y de desarrollo. Las dificultades más expresadas por la madre fueron el miedo, los cambios provocados por la enfermedad y el desempeño del rol parental. Los diagnósticos de enfermería fueron definidos a partir de los enfoques “aceptación del estado de salud”, “miedo”, “rol de los padres” y “afrontamiento familiar”, asociándolos a las respectivas intervenciones de enfermería. Las intervenciones centradas en el apoyo y la educación. Conclusión el modelo teórico contribuyó a la comprensión e identificación de las necesidades de las madres con cáncer parental, facilitando la prescripción de intervenciones de enfermería en lenguaje clasificado. El modelo demostró ser relevante para futuras intervenciones en padres que experimentan situaciones similares.

Resumo O objetivo principal deste estudo foi explorar e analisar a produção científica recente sobre sustentabilidade no varejo de moda. A metodologia foi baseada em uma revisão da literatura e análise bibliométrica dos últimos 12 anos de artigos publicados revisados por pares sobre o tema. Os resultados ilustraram um aumento nas publicações em 2017 e 2018, com grande participação de países como Estados Unidos e China. Os resultados abrangeram uma ampla diversidade de temas relacionados ao varejo de moda, tais como: slow fashion, fast fashion, sustentabilidade na cadeia de suprimentos, produção e consumo sustentável de produtos têxteis e, as principais barreiras, benefícios e tendências para o setor em um futuro próximo. Devido ao aumento dos impactos sociais e ambientais negativos nas últimas décadas, mais estudos relacionados às práticas de sustentabilidade a serem adotadas por esse setor são necessários para identificar potenciais alternativas de solução para o problema. Fizemos uma lista com as 55 práticas mais importantes para promover a sustentabilidade no varejo de moda.

Abstract The main objective of this study was to explore and analyze the recent scientific production on sustainability in the fashion retail sector. The methodology was based on a literature review and bibliometric analysis of the last 12 years of peer-reviewed published papers on the topic. The results illustrated an increase in publications in 2017 and 2018, with large participation from countries such as the United States and China. The findings covered a broad diversity of topics related to fashion retail such as: slow fashion, fast fashion, sustainability in the supply chain, sustainable production and consumption of textile products, and the main barriers, benefits, and trends for this sector in a near future. Due to the increase of negative social and environmental impacts in the last decades more studies related to sustainability practices to be adopted by this sector are required to identify potential alternative solutions for the problem. We did a list with the 55 most important practices to promote sustainability in fashion retail.
