ABSTRACT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is characterized by different factors, such as chronic diffuse muscle pain (CDMP), fatigue and psycho-emotional changes. Among the animal models that mimic FMS, the acid saline model is consolidated in the development and maintenance of CDMP. Resistance training (RT) has been an effective method for reducing pain in FMS. Thus, the aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of resistance training on nociceptive and motor responses in an animal model of chronic diffuse muscular pain. METHODS: Twenty-four male Wistar rats were allocated into four groups: resistance training, RT control, amitriptyline (AMITRIP) and AMITRIP control; all treatment protocols lasted 4 weeks. CDMP was induced in all mice. Then, the animals were treated with low-intensity RT (40% 1 maximum repetition) and AMITRIP (10 mg/kg/day). The mechanical paw withdrawal threshold, locomotor activity and muscle strength were evaluated. RESULTS: Animals treated with both RT and AMITRIP showed an increase in the mechanical paw withdrawal threshold (p<0.05) compared to their controls, suggesting a reduction in mechanical hyperalgesia. There was no improvement in locomotor activity in all groups (p>0.05). Animals with CDMP that underwent RT showed an increase in hindlimb muscle strength (p<0.0001) compared to the RT control group. CONCLUSION: Low-intensity resistance training resulted in antihyperalgesic effects and improved muscle strength in animals submitted to the CDMP model.

RESUMO JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: A síndrome da fibromialgia (SFM) é caracterizada por diferentes fatores, como dor crônica muscular difusa (DCMD), fadiga e alterações psicoemocionais. Dentre os modelos animais que mimetizam a SFM, o modelo de salina ácida é consolidado no desenvolvimento e na manutenção da DCMD. O treinamento resistido (TR) tem sido um método eficaz para redução da dor na SFM. Assim, o objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar os efeitos do TR na resposta nociceptiva e motora em modelo animal de dor crônica muscular difusa. MÉTODOS: Vinte e quatro ratos machos Wistar foram alocados em quatro grupos: treinamento resistido (TR), controle do TR, amitriptilina (AMITRIP) e controle da AMITRIP, todos os protocolos de tratamento tiveram duração de 4 semanas. A DCMD foi induzida em todos os ratos. Em seguida, os animais foram tratados com TR de baixa intensidade (40% 1 repetição máxima) e AMITRIP (10 mg/kg/dia). Foram avaliados o limiar mecânico de retirada de pata, a atividade locomotora e a força muscular. RESULTADOS: Animais tratados tanto com TR quanto com AMITRIP apresentaram aumento do limiar mecânico de retirada de pata (p<0,05) em relação aos seus controles, sugerindo redução da hiperalgesia mecânica. Não foi observada melhora da atividade locomotora em todos os grupos (p>0,05). Animais com DCMD que realizaram TR obtiveram aumento da força muscular dos membros posteriores (p<0,0001) em comparação ao grupo controle do TR. CONCLUSÃO: Treinamento resistido de baixa intensidade resultou em efeitos anti-hiperalgésicos e melhora da força muscular em animais submetidos ao modelo de DCMD.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é identificar a prevalência e avaliar os fatores associados aos comportamentos extremos para perda de peso em adolescentes do Nordeste brasileiro. Estudo transversal com 2.439 adolescentes da Amostra 2 (2015) da Pesquisa Nacional de Saúde do Escolar. Os comportamentos extremos para perda de peso (desfecho) e as variáveis independentes foram avaliadas por meio de um questionário eletrônico autoaplicável. A análise estatística foi realizada seguindo um modelo conceitual hierárquico. A prevalência de comportamentos extremos para perda de peso na amostra foi de 12,1%. Entre os fatores que mostraram associação significativa com o desfecho, destacam-se a situação administrativa da escola privada (RP = 0,62; IC = 0,46-0,84), ser vítima bullying relacionado à aparência corporal e pelos demais motivos (RP = 1,62; IC = 1,19-2,20), ser forçado a ter relação sexual (RP = 2,65; IC = 1,90-3,69), ter insônia (RP = 1,84; IC = 1,43-2,37) e se autoperceber como gordo ou muito gordo (RP = 1,90; IC = 1,50-2,42). Prevalência moderada de comportamentos extremos para perda de peso foi identificada entre os adolescentes. Os fatores socioeconômicos, de exposição à violência, de saúde mental e da imagem corporal se associaram à adoção de tais comportamentos.

Socioeconomic factors, exposure to violence, mental health, and body image were associated with the adoption of these behaviors.

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to assess seed health and the effect of plant extracts on Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum mycelial growth and sporulation, plant pathogen reduction in seeds and fusariosis control in okra seedlings. Health was assessed by the Blotter Test, after immersing the seeds in natural extracts and plating. To verify the mycelial growth of the plant pathogen, the extracts were incorporated in PDA culture medium and the pathogen was added and assessed, including the spore count. In the greenhouse, the seeds were immersed in the extracts, sown and at 15 days they were sprayed with extracts, at 21 days inoculated with the pathogen and disease severity on the seedlings was assessed 7 days later. There were higher incidences of Fusarium sp. and Rhizopus stolonifer in the seeds of the cultivars Valença and Santa Cruz 47. The extracts that resulted in lower pathogen incidence was basil, in cv. Valença and cinnamon and neem, in cv. Santa Cruz 47. The neem treatment presented the best inhibition percentage and the lowest sporulation mean in mycelial growth of the pathogen. Neem presented higher disease incidence control in the seedlings of cv. Valença and basil on the seedlings of cv. Santa Cruz 47.

ABSTRACT OBJETIVE To map the international literature on Permanent Health Education initiatives to care for people with obesity. METHODS In total, six databases were searched without any language or publication period restriction according to the Joana Briggs Institute manual for evidence synthesis and the Prisma extension for scoping reviews (Prisma-ScR). Articles were independently analyzed by four reviewers and data, by two authors, which were then analyzed and discussed with our research team. RESULTS After screening 8,780 titles/abstracts and 26 full texts, 10studies met our eligibility criteria. We extracted data on methodologies, themes, definitions of obesity, outcomes, and gaps. Most initiatives came from North American countries without free or universal health systems and lasted a short period of time (70%), had multidisciplinary teams (70%), and addressed sub-themes on obesity approaches (90%). Results included changes in participants’ understanding, attitude, and procedures (80%) and gaps which pointed to the sustainability of these changes (80%). CONCLUSION This review shows the scarce research in the area and a general design of poorly effective initiatives, with traditional teaching methodologies based on information transmission techniques, the understanding of obesity as a disease and a public health problem, punctual actions, disciplinary fragmentation alien to the daily work centrality, and failure to recognize problems and territory as knowledge triggers and to focus on health care networks, line of care, the integrality of care, and food and body cultures.

RESUMO Objetivo. Identificar as recomendações para 2022 dos ministérios da saúde de 13 países e áreas da América do Sul referentes à vacinação contra o papilomavírus humano (HPV) e o rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero. Métodos. Uma revisão sistemática da literatura científica e de documentos oficiais foi realizada entre 7 de julho e 17 de outubro de 2022. A revisão incluiu uma pesquisa inicial em sites oficiais (por exemplo, de ministérios da saúde, institutos nacionais de câncer e departamentos de saúde) de países sul-americanos para identificar diretrizes ou recomendações atuais para a vacinação contra o HPV e o rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero. Resultados. Foram encontradas recomendações de vacinação contra o HPV em 11 países; as exceções foram a Guiana Francesa e a República Bolivariana da Venezuela. Foram encontradas recomendações de rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero em documentos oficiais de 11 países, com exceção da República Bolivariana da Venezuela, onde foi encontrado um artigo que não era uma recomendação oficial, e do Suriname, para o qual não foram encontrados documentos em sites nem em outras publicações. No total, 12 países usam citologia para rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero. Quatro países (Bolívia [Estado Plurinacional da], Colômbia, Guiana e Peru) usam inspeção visual com ácido acético e a estratégia de “Ver e Tratar”. Seis países (Argentina, Chile, Colômbia, Equador, Paraguai e Peru) estão fazendo a transição da citologia para a testagem de HPV. Conclusões. Não foram encontrados documentos sobre nenhum programa nacional de vacinação contra o HPV na Guiana Francesa e na Venezuela, e não foram encontradas diretrizes oficiais de rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero no Suriname e na Venezuela; portanto, será difícil eliminar esse problema de saúde pública nesses países. Os países da América do Sul precisam atualizar suas diretrizes de vacinação contra o HPV e de rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero à medida que surjam novas evidências. Os sites oficiais com informações sobre a vacinação contra o HPV e o rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero são fontes importantes que podem ser acessadas pelos profissionais de saúde e pela população.

RESUMEN Objetivo. Determinar las recomendaciones formuladas en el 2022 por los ministerios de salud de los 13 países y zonas de América del Sur en materia de vacunación contra el virus del papiloma humano (VPH) y detección del cáncer cervicouterino. Métodos. Entre el 7 de julio y el 17 de octubre del 2022 se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática de publicaciones científicas y documentos oficiales. La revisión comprendió una búsqueda inicial en los sitios web oficiales (por ejemplo, de los ministerios de salud, los institutos nacionales del cáncer y los departamentos de salud) de los países de América del Sur, para determinar las directrices o recomendaciones actuales relativas a la vacunación contra el VPH y la detección del cáncer cervicouterino. Resultados. Se encontraron recomendaciones sobre la vacunación contra el VPH en 11 países, excepto Guayana Francesa y República Bolivariana de Venezuela. Se encontraron recomendaciones sobre la detección del cáncer cervicouterino en documentos oficiales de 11 países, excepto República Bolivariana de Venezuela, donde se encontró un artículo que no era una recomendación oficial, y Suriname, para el cual no se encontraron documentos ni en sitios web ni en otras publicaciones. En 12 países se utiliza la citología como método para la detección del cáncer cervicouterino. En cuatro países (Bolivia [Estado Plurinacional de], Colombia, Guyana y Perú) se utiliza la inspección visual tras la aplicación de ácido acético y la estrategia de detección y tratamiento. En seis países (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay y Perú) se está llevando a cabo un proceso de transición, de la citología a la realización de pruebas de detección del VPH. Conclusiones. No se encontraron documentos sobre un programa nacional de vacunación contra el VPH en Guayana Francesa y República Bolivariana de Venezuela, y tampoco se encontraron directrices oficiales para la detección del cáncer cervicouterino en Suriname y Venezuela. En consecuencia, la eliminación de este problema de salud pública en dichos países será una tarea difícil. Los países de América del Sur deben actualizar sus directrices sobre la vacunación contra el VPH y el tamizaje del cáncer cervicouterino a medida que surja nueva evidencia al respecto. Los sitios web oficiales con información sobre la vacunación contra el VPH y la detección del cáncer cervicouterino son fuentes importantes de información que pueden consultar los profesionales de la salud y la población.

ABSTRACT Objective. To identify the 2022 recommendations made by ministries of health in the 13 countries and areas of South America for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and cervical cancer screening. Methods. A systematic review of scientific literature and official documents was conducted between July 7 and October 17, 2022. The review included an initial search on official websites (e.g. ministries of health, national cancer institutes and health departments) of South American countries to identify current guidelines or recommendations for HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening. Results. Recommendations for HPV vaccination were found for 11 countries, with the exceptions of French Guiana and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Recommendations were found for cervical cancer screening in official documents from 11 countries, with the exceptions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where one article was found that was not an official recommendation, and Suriname, for which no documents were found on websites or in other publications. A total of 12 countries use cytology to screen for cervical cancer. Four countries (Bolivia [Plurinational State of], Colombia, Guyana and Peru) use visual inspection with acetic acid and the screen-and-treat strategy. Six countries (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru) are transitioning from cytology to HPV testing. Conclusions. No documents were found about a national HPV vaccination program in French Guiana and Venezuela, and no official guidelines for cervical cancer screening were found for Suriname and Venezuela; thus, it will be difficult to eliminate this public health problem in these countries. Countries in South America must update their guidelines for HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening as new evidence emerges. Official websites with information about HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening are important sources that can be accessed by health professionals and the population.

ABSTRACT Objective: To determine whether polymorphisms of the IL10 and IL17 genes are associated with severe asthma control and bronchodilator reversibility in children and adolescents with severe asthma. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study, nested within a prospective cohort study of patients with severe asthma. Two outcomes were evaluated: asthma control and bronchodilator reversibility. We extracted DNA from peripheral blood and genotyped three single nucleotide polymorphisms: rs3819024 and rs2275913 in the IL17A gene; and rs3024498 in the IL10 gene. For the association analyses, we performed logistic regression in three genetic models (allelic, additive, and dominant). Results: The rs3024498 C allele in the IL10 gene was associated with failure to achieve asthma control despite regular treatment (p = 0.02). However, the G allele of the IL17A rs3819024 polymorphism was associated with failure to respond to stimulation with a b2 agonist. The rs2275913 polymorphism of the IL17A gene showed no relationship with asthma control or bronchodilator reversibility. Conclusions: In pediatric patients with severe asthma, the IL10 polymorphism appears to be associated with failure to achieve clinical control, whereas the IL17A polymorphism appears to be associated with a worse bronchodilator response. Knowledge of the involvement of these polymorphisms opens future directions for pharmacogenetic studies and for the implementation of individualized therapeutic management of severe asthma in pediatric patients.

RESUMO Objetivo: Determinar se existe relação entre polimorfismos dos genes IL10 e IL17 e controle da asma grave e reversibilidade com broncodilatador em crianças e adolescentes com asma grave. Métodos: Estudo transversal, aninhado em um estudo prospectivo de coorte com pacientes com asma grave. Foram avaliados dois desfechos: controle da asma e reversibilidade com broncodilatador. Extraímos DNA do sangue periférico e genotipamos três polimorfismos de nucleotídeo único: rs3819024 e rs2275913 no gene IL17A e rs3024498 no gene IL10. Para as análises de associação, realizamos regressão logística em três modelos genéticos (alélico, aditivo e dominante). Resultados: O alelo C do polimorfismo rs3024498 do gene IL10 apresentou relação com asma que permaneceu descontrolada mesmo com tratamento regular (p = 0,02). No entanto, o alelo G do polimorfismo rs3819024 do gene IL17A apresentou relação com ausência de resposta ao estímulo com b2-agonista. O polimorfismo rs2275913 do gene IL17A não apresentou relação com controle da asma ou reversibilidade com broncodilatador. Conclusões: Em pacientes pediátricos com asma grave, o polimorfismo do gene IL10 parece estar relacionado com ausência de controle clínico, ao passo que o polimorfismo do gene IL17A parece estar relacionado com pior resposta ao broncodilatador. O conhecimento a respeito do envolvimento desses polimorfismos abre perspectivas futuras para estudos farmacogenéticos e para a implantação de manejo terapêutico individualizado da asma grave em pacientes pediátricos.

Abstract This work has an objective to analyse and quantify the volatile compounds content in the dried powder of sapota using two encapsulating agents, maltodextrin or gum Arabic, and a mix of these agents. The major compounds found were ethyl acetate and 1-hexanol. Regarding the concentrations of these compounds present in the atomized samples, it can be verified that for both ethyl acetate and 1-hexanol their concentrations were higher in rehydrated gum Arabic dried powder (SG) sample, being 1237.15 µg/kg and 588.08 µg/kg, respectively, compared to the other two samples, rehydrated maltodextrin dried powder (SM) and rehydrated powder containing both encapsulating agents (SMG). The results of PCA analysis showed that the first two main components PC1 and PC2 were able to explain 80.90% of the total variation of the data, of which the main component PC1 explained 59.77% and the component PC2, 21.13%. %. From the heat map the top cluster includes the samples SM e SMG, while the bottom cluster contains the samples sapota juice and SG. Therefore, the sample SG presented greater similarity with the sample of fresh sapota juice as to the composition of volatile compounds.

ABSTRACT Objective: To develop and validate an instrument to evaluate the decentralization process of care for People Living with HIV in Primary Health Care. Method: Methodological study, developed in four stages: elaboration of the logical model based on the triad Structure-Process-Outcomes; development of the instrument; content validation by expert judges and technical reviewers; and semantic validation. Online questionnaires were used, and the Kappa index was used for analysis. Results: The instrument with 68 items and 8 factors was submitted to validation by expert judges who recommended the exclusion of 3 items and the alteration of 2 factors. In the validation by technical reviewers, 2 items were excluded and 6 factors were highlighted; the agreement index was ≥0.75. In the semantic validation, 87.3% of the judges answered “totally agree” for the items presented. Conclusion: The instrument is validated for its content, has 63 items and has the potential to assess the care provided for people living with HIV in Primary Health Care.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Construir y validar un instrumento para la evaluación del proceso de descentralización de la atención a personas conviviendo con VIH en la Atención Primaria de Salud. Métodos: Es un estudio metodológico desarrollado en cuatro etapas: elaboración del modelo lógico basado en la tríada Estructura-Proceso-Resultados; construcción del instrumento; validación del contenido por jueces especialistas y revisores técnicos; y validación semántica. Se utilizaron cuestionarios en línea y el índice de Kappa para el análisis. Resultados: El instrumento con 68 ítems y 8 factores fue sometido a validación por jueces expertos que recomendaron la exclusión de 3 ítems y el cambio de 2 factores. En la validación por parte de los revisores técnicos, se excluyeron 2 ítems y se puntuaron 6 factores; el índice de acuerdo fue ≥0,75. En la validación semántica, el 87,3% respondió “totalmente de acuerdo” a los ítems presentados. Conclusiones: El instrumento se encuentra validado cuanto al contenido, posee 63 ítems y potencial para la evaluación de la atención de personas conviviendo con VIH en la Atención Primaria de Salud.

RESUMO Objetivo: construir e validar um instrumento de avaliação do processo de descentralização do atendimento às pessoas vivendo com HIV para Atenção Primária à Saúde. Métodos: estudo metodológico, desenvolvido em quatro etapas: elaboração do modelo lógico baseado na tríade Estrutura-Processo-Resultados; construção do instrumento; validação de conteúdo por juízes especialistas e revisores técnicos; e validação semântica. Utilizaram-se questionários on-line e, para análise, o índice de Kappa. Resultados: o instrumento, com 68 itens e 8 fatores, foi submetido à validação por juízes especialistas que recomendaram a exclusão de 3 itens e mudança de 2 fatores. Na validação por revisores técnicos, foram excluídos 2 itens e pontou-se 6 fatores, o índice de concordância foi ≥0,75. Na validação semântica 87,3% responderam “concordo totalmente” para os itens apresentados. Conclusões: O instrumento encontra-se validado quanto ao conteúdo, possui 63 itens e potencial para avaliação do atendimento às pessoas vivendo com HIV na Atenção Primária à Saúde.

Abstract Objective To assess the effect of a long-term educational intervention by telephone on breastfeeding duration rates. Methods This is a controlled randomized clinical trial conducted at a maternity hospital in the city of Fortaleza. A.so-called 240 women were answers in the immediate puerperium. An educational intervention was used by telephone centered on the principles of self-efficacy and with motivational interview approach at 7, 30, 90 and 150 days postpartum for the intervention group. The control group received the standard guidelines from the health service. Breastfeeding duration rates were verified using a questionnaire elaborated by the researcher applied to the intervention group and control group at 60, 120 and 180 days. To verify the effect of the intervention on the variables studied, the chi-square test and the Mann-Whitney U test were used. Brazilian Clinical Trial Registry: RBR-7m7vc8. Results There was a difference between the groups regarding non-exclusive and exclusive breastfeeding duration and rates. The intervention group had higher breastfeeding rates at 60 (p<0.001), 120 (p=0.001) and 180 days (p=0.001), and exclusive breastfeeding, at 180 days (p=0.005), as well as non-exclusive (p<0.001) and exclusive (p<0.001) breastfeeding longer duration. Conclusion the educational intervention by telephone has the potential to increase breastfeeding rates, duration and exclusivity, and can be used as an alternative to improve breastfeeding rates in the country. Resumen Objetivo Evaluar los efectos de una intervención educativa telefónica de larga duración en los índices de duración de la lactancia materna. Métodos Ensayo clínico aleatorizado controlado realizado en una maternidad en la ciudad de Fortaleza. Se asignaron 240 mujeres en puerperio inmediato. Se utilizó intervención educativa por teléfono centrada en los principios de la autoeficacia y entrevista con enfoque motivacional a los 7, 30, 90 y 150 días del posparto en el grupo experimental. El grupo de control recibió las instrucciones estándar del servicio de salud. La duración y los índices de lactancia materna fueron verificados mediante cuestionario elaborado por la investigadora, aplicado al grupo experimental y al grupo de control a los 60, 120 y 180 días. Para verificar el efecto de la intervención sobre las variables estudiadas, se utilizó la prueba χ2 de Pearson y la prueba U de Mann-Whitney. Registro Brasileño de Ensayo Clínico: RBR-7m7vc8. Resultados Hubo diferencia entre los grupos en lo que se refiere a la duración e índices de lactancia materna no exclusiva y exclusiva. El grupo experimental presentó índices más elevados de lactancia materna a los 60 (p<0,001), 120 (p=0,001) y 180 días (p=0,001), y de lactancia exclusiva a los 180 días (p=0,005), así como mayor duración de la lactancia materna no exclusiva (p<0,001) y exclusiva (p<0,001). Conclusión La intervención educativa telefónica tiene potencial para elevar los índices, duración y exclusividad de la lactancia materna y puede ser utilizada como alternativa para mejorar los índices de lactancia materna en el país.

Resumo Objetivo Avaliar o efeito de uma intervenção educativa de longa duração por telefone nas taxas e duração do aleitamento materno. Métodos Ensaio clínico randomizado controlado realizado em uma maternidade na cidade de Fortaleza. Foram alocadas 240 mulheres no puerpério imediato. Utilizou-se intervenção educativa por telefone centrada nos princípios da autoeficácia e com abordagem da entrevista motivacional aos 7, 30, 90 e 150 dias pós-parto para o grupo intervenção. O grupo controle recebeu as orientações padrão do serviço de saúde. A duração e as taxas do aleitamento materno foram verificadas com uso de questionário elaborado pela pesquisadora aplicados ao grupo intervenção e grupo controle aos 60, 120 e 180 dias. Para verificar o efeito da intervenção sobre as variáveis estudadas utilizou-se o teste Qui-quadrado e o Teste U de Mann-Whitney. Registro Brasileiro de Ensaio Clínico: RBR-7m7vc8. Resultados Houve diferença entre os grupos no que diz respeito à duração e taxas de aleitamento materno não exclusivo e exclusivo. O grupo intervenção apresentou taxas mais elevadas de aleitamento materno aos 60 (p<0,001), 120 (p=0,001) e 180 dias (p=0,001), e de aleitamento exclusivo aos 180 dias (p=0,005), bem como maior duração do aleitamento materno não exclusivo (p<0,001) e exclusivo (p<0,001). Conclusão a intervenção educativa por telefone possui potencial para elevar as taxas, duração e a exclusividade do aleitamento materno, podendo ser utilizada como alternativa para melhorar os índices do aleitamento materno no país. ABSTRACT: Thoracoscopy is replacing open lung biopsies because it is less invasive, usually the technique is done using three portals and intracorporeal suture technique. This study described the feasibility and efficacy of a novel pre tied loop ligature and to propose a thoracoscopic access strategy with two portals to perform lung biopsy in patients under 5 kg. Ten rabbits were positioned in dorsal recumbency. Total thoracoscopic lung biopsy was performed using a combined transdiaphragmatic approach and a right intercostal approach. A pre tied loop ligature was placed to perform a caudal lung lobe biopsy. Insufflation of the thoracic cavity was not performed. The total surgery time was 41.4 ± 14.5 min. The procedure was carried out free of complications that prevented slippage or tightening the knot or that made it come loose after the lung biopsy; there was no serious complication during the surgical procedure. The samples obtained averaged 1x0.64x0.45 cm (Length, Width, Depth) and were considered satisfactory according to the histopathologic evaluation. Thorax radiographs taken before and after the surgeries were compared and showed no pneumothorax or hemothorax. Necropsy confirmed no knot failure occurred at the biopsy site. The use of the novel pre tied loop ligature is a safe and effective technique, avoiding problems with the limited size of the thoracic cavity in small patients.

RESUMO: A toracoscopia está substituindo as biópsias pulmonares abertas por ser menos invasiva. Usualmente a técnica é feita utilizando três portais e ligaduras feitas intra corporalmente. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever a viabilidade e eficácia de uma nova ligadura com alça pré-amarrada e propor uma estratégia de acesso toracoscópico com dois portais para realizar biópsia pulmonar em pacientes com menos de 5kg. Dez coelhos foram posicionados em decúbito dorsal. A biópsia pulmonar por toracoscopia total foi feita pela abordagem combinada transdiafragmática e abordagem intercostal direita. Uma nova ligadura pré-amarrada foi colocada para realizar uma biópsia do lobo pulmonar caudal. Não foi realizada insuflação da cavidade torácica. O tempo total de cirurgia foi de 41,4 ± 14,5 min. Os procedimentos foram realizados sem complicações que impedissem o escorregamento ou aperto do nó ou que o soltassem após a biópsia pulmonar; não houve nenhuma intercorrência grave durante o procedimento cirúrgico. As amostras coletadas tinham tamanho médio 1x0,64x0,45 cm e foram consideradas satisfatórias de acordo com a avaliação histopatológica. As radiografias de tórax feitas antes e depois das cirurgias foram comparadas e não mostraram pneumotórax ou hemotórax. A necropsia confirmou que não ocorreu falha do nó no local da biópsia. Conclui-se que uso da nova ligadura com alça pré-amarrada é uma técnica segura e eficaz, evitando problemas com o tamanho limitado da cavidade torácica em pacientes pequenos.

Abstract Objective To analyze the scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of using ozone to disinfect surfaces based on an integrative literature review. Methods A search was carried out in the SciELO, MEDLINE, LILACS, PubMed, Science Direct databases. Eleven articles published January 2010 to August 2021 were analyzed. All employed the experimental laboratory research model and achieved different levels of disinfection by O3, however, with varied surfaces and products tested, in addition to different methodological procedures. Results The majority had an inhibition rate by O3 equal to or greater than 90%, thus proving the effectiveness of this agent as a surface disinfectant, even with variations in parameter values such as concentration and exposure time, in all selected articles, even those that did not prove the effectiveness of O3. Conclusion This review shows the inhibitory power that O3 has on different pathogens, even if there are variables in the factors used for this purpose, highlighting it in front of other disinfectants. Thus, it corroborates the composition of surface disinfection protocols and decision-making among managers and committees about sanitizing technologies.

Resumen Objetivo Analizar las evidencias científicas con respecto a la eficacia del uso del ozono para la desinfección de superficies a partir de una revisión integradora de la literatura. Métodos Se realizó una búsqueda en los bancos de datos electrónicos: SciELO, MEDLINE, LILACS, PubMed, Sciense Direct. Se analizaron 11 artículos, publicados en el período de enero de 2010 a agosto 2021. Todos utilizaron el modelo de investigación experimental laboratorial y obtuvieron distintos niveles de desinfección por O3, pero utilizando distintas superficies y productos, además de distintos procedimientos metodológicos. Resultados La mayoría presentó una tasa de inhibición por O3 igual o superior al 90 %, lo que comprueba la eficacia de ese agente como desinfectante de superficies, aunque existan variaciones en los valores de los parámetros, como concentración y tiempo de exposición, en todos los artículos seleccionados, incluso en los que no se comprobó la eficacia del O3. Conclusión Esta revisión evidencia el poder inhibitorio que el O3 presenta ante distintos patógenos, aunque existan variables en los factores utilizados para esa finalidad, por lo que se destaca ante otros desinfectantes. De esta forma, se confirma la composición de protocolos de desinfección de superficies y la toma de decisiones entre gestores y comisiones sobre tecnologías de desinfección.

Resumo Objetivo Analisar as evidências científicas com relação à eficácia do uso do ozônio para desinfecção de superfícies a partir de uma revisão integrativa de literatura. Métodos Realizou-se busca nos bancos de dados eletrônicos: SciELO, MEDLINE, LILACS, PubMed, Sciense Direct. Foram analisados onze artigos, publicados no período de janeiro de 2010 a agosto de 2021. Todos empregaram o modelo de investigação experimental laboratorial e alcançaram diferentes níveis de desinfecção pelo O3, no entanto, com variadas superfícies e produtos testados, além de diferentes procedimentos metodológicos. Resultados A maioria apresentou taxa de inibição pelo O3 igual ou superior a 90%, comprovando assim a eficácia desse agente como desinfetante de superfícies, mesmo havendo variações de valores dos parâmetros como, concentração e tempo de exposição, em todos os artigos selecionados, até mesmo nos que não comprovaram a eficácia do O3. Conclusão Essa revisão evidencia o poder inibitório que o O3 possui sobre diferentes patógenos, mesmo que haja variáveis nos fatores utilizados para esse fim, destacando-o frente a outros desinfetantes. Corrobora, assim, na composição de protocolos de desinfecção de superfícies e na tomada de decisão entre gestores e comissões acerca de tecnologias saneantes.

ABSTRACT The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic demanded rapid diagnosis to isolate new COVID-19 cases and prevent disease transmission. Quantitative Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR) rapidly became the gold standard for diagnosis. However, due to the high cost and delay of the results, other types of diagnosis were implemented, such as COVID-19 Ag Rapid Tests and Reverse Transcription Technique followed by Loop-Mediated isothermal Amplification (RT-LAMP). In this work, we validated the use of RT-LAMP in saliva samples rather than nasopharyngeal swabs, as the collection is more comfortable. First, we selected 5 primer sets based on the limit of detection for SARS-CoV-2 RNA, then validated their sensitivity and specificity in patient samples. A total of 117 samples were analyzed by fluorometric RT-LAMP and compared with qRT-PCR results. Our results show that the use of a high-sensitive primer ORF1-a, together with a low-sensitive primer set Gene E (time to threshold of 22.9 and 36.4 minutes, respectively, using 200 copies of viral RNA), achieved sensitivity in purified RNA from saliva samples of 95.2% (95% CI 76.1-99.8) with 90.5% specificity (95% CI 69.6-98.8) (n = 42).As RNA purification increases the turnaround time, we tested the outcome of RT-LAMP utilizing raw saliva samples without purification. The test achieved a sensitivity of 81.8% (95% CI 59.7-94.8) and a specificity of 90.9% (95% CI 70.8-98.8). As a result, the accuracy of 92.9% (95% CI 80.5-98.5) in purified RNA-saliva samples was lowered to an acceptable level of 86.4% (95% CI 72.6-94.8) in raw saliva. Although mass vaccination has been implemented, new strains and low vaccination progress helped to spread COVID-19. This study shows that it is feasible to track new COVID-19 cases in a large population with the use of raw saliva as sample in RT-LAMP assay which yields accurate results and offers a less invasive test.

Abstract Objective to analyze the participants' perception of the online events promoted during the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic by the Women's Health Care League (LCSM). Methods cross-sectional, descriptive study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, developed online with 90 participants in ten events on the theme of women's health, promoted by LCSM in 2020. Data were collected using a semi-structured online form from July to November 2021. For data analysis, IBM SPSS was used, through descriptive statistics of qualitative variables and for the analysis of qualitative data, thematic analysis was used. Results 98,89% of the participants answered that the LCSM events in online format had a positive influence on their academic, professional or personal life. The analysis of the responses allowed the identification of three categories: feeling of “closeness” to the University, description of positive influences, and knowledge beyond the classroom. Conclusion and implications for practice The data from this study allow us to infer the important and necessary role of information technology and academic leagues in the construction of knowledge and in the deepening of reflections and debate on women's health care.

Resumen Objetivo analizar la percepción de los participantes de los eventos online promovidos durante el primer año de la pandemia del Covid-19 por la Liga para el Cuidado de la Salud de la Mujer (LCSM). Método estudio transversal, descriptivo, con abordaje cuantitativo y cualitativo, desarrollado online con 90 participantes en diez eventos sobre el tema salud de la mujer, promovidos por la LCSM en 2020. Los datos fueron recogidos a través de un formulario semi-estructurado en línea de julio a noviembre de 2021. Para el análisis de datos se utilizó IBM SPSS, a través de estadística descriptiva de variables cualitativas y para el análisis de datos cualitativos se utilizó análisis temático. Resultados El 98,89% de los participantes respondieron que los eventos LCSM en formato online influyeron positivamente en su vida académica, profesional o personal. El análisis de las respuestas permitió identificar tres categorías: sentirse “más cerca” de la Universidad, descripción de influencias positivas y conocimiento más allá del aula. Conclusión e implicaciones para la práctica Los datos del presente estudio permiten inferir el importante y necesario papel de las tecnologías de la información y de las ligas académicas en la construcción del conocimiento y en la profundización de la reflexión y el debate sobre el cuidado de la salud de las mujeres.

Métodos estudo transversal, descritivo, de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, desenvolvido de forma online com 90 participantes em dez eventos sobre a temática relativa à saúde da mulher, promovidos pela LCSM no ano de 2020. Os dados foram coletados por um formulário semi-estruturado online no período de julho a novembro de 2021. Para a análise de dados, utilizou-se o IBM SPSS, por meio de estatística descritiva das variáveis qualitativas e para a análise dos dados qualitativos utilizou-se a análise temática. Resultados 98,89% dos participantes responderam que os eventos da LCSM no formato online influenciaram de forma positiva na vida acadêmica, profissional ou pessoal. A análise das respostas permitiu a identificação de três categorias: sentimento de “aproximação” à Universidade, descrição das influências positivas, e conhecimentos para além da sala de aula. Conclusão e implicações para a prática Os dados do presente estudo permitem inferir o importante e necessário papel da tecnologia da informação e das ligas acadêmicas na construção do conhecimento e no aprofundamento das reflexões e do debate sobre os cuidados à saúde das mulheres.
