Este trabalho relata uma aplicação de métodos multicritérios no apoio à tomada de decisão para a escolha de um programa de controle da qualidade da água potável para consumo humano no Brasil. Dentre esses métodos, foi escolhido o AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) em função de permitir a agregação de informações quantitativas e qualitativas. A possibilidade de tratamento das variáveis qualitativas mostra um avanço nos métodos de análise de decisão, visto que elas introduzem a subjetividade à decisão, por exprimir as preferências e valores dos tomadores de decisão.

The present work aims to discuss the use of a multicriteria method in a decision support for choosing a water quality control program for human consumption in Brazil. Among multicriteria methods the AHP (Analitic Hierarchy Process) was chosen because this method permits qualitative and quantitative information aggregation. Possibility of qualitative variables treatment shows an evolution in decision analysis systems as it introduces subjectivity in the decision making and express value and preferences of decision makers.

Instalou-se um experimento, na região de Garça, SP, em um solo Latossolo Vermelho escuro, A moderado, textura arenosa, com o objetivo de se avaliar a influência da adubação NPK sobre a produtividade de borracha seca da seringueira (Hevea brasiliensis) clone "PB 235", com 13 anos de idade. O experimento foi instalado em blocos ao acaso, em esquema fatorial fracionário (1/4)43, totalizando 16 tratamentos e 4 repetições, onde se utilizaram 4 níveis de N (0, 80, 160, 320 kg ha-1), 4 de K2O (0, 80, 160, 320 kg ha-1) e 4 de P2O5 (0, 40, 80, 160 kg ha-1). A produção foi avaliada entre os mêses de outubro de 1995 a junho de 1996. Conclui-se que a adubação potássica aumentou a produtividade de borracha seca, o mesmo não ocorrendo com a adubação nitrogenada e fosfatada.

An experiment was carried out to study the effects of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizations on dry rubber yield of Hevea brasiliensis Muell Arg., clone PB 235 growing on a Dark Red-Yellow Latosol, in Garça-SP, Brazil. The experiment consisted of a (1/4)43 fractional factorial of randomized block design, with 16 treatments and 4 replicates, utilizing 4 levels of N (0, 80, 160 and 320 kg ha-1), 4 of P2O5 (0, 40, 80 and 160 kg ha-1) and 4 of K (0, 80, 160 and 320 kg ha-1). The rubber yield was evaluated monthly from October 1995 to June 1996. Results showed that potassium fertilization increased dry rubber yield, which was not affected by nitrogen and phosphate fertilizations.

Estudou-se uma técnica de impregnar micronutrientes catiônicos, como zinco , cobre, manganês e ferro, na vermiculita. A técnica adotada foi de reagir a vermiculita ácida (saturada com Íon H+) com os hidróxidos de micronutrientes. Durante a reação, deve ocorrer neutralização do Ton H+ da vermiculita e adsorção de micronutrientes catiônicos neste mineral. Os resultados de extração dos micronutrientes obtidos com HCI 0,1 N e NH4OAc 0,5 N e pH 4,8 mostraram que a técnica utilizada funciona bem para o zinco e o cobre. Para o manganês, a preparação do hidróxido deve ser feita numa pH acima de 8,5 a fim de obter uma precipitação total. Quanto à impregnação do ferro, a técnica funciona. Porém, sua solubilidade no extrator de NH4OAc 0,5 N com pH 4,8 é muito baixa.

The purpose of this work was to study a method of saturating vermiculite with cationic micronutrients, such as zinc, copper, manganese, and iron. The technique used was to react H - saturated vermiculite with hydroxides of micronutrients. During the reaction, there should occur neutralization of H+ ion of the vermiculite and adsorption of the micronutrients in the mineral. The results of micronutrients extracted by 0.1 N HC1 and 0.5 N NH4OAc pH 4.8 showed that the saturation of zinc and copper worked well. For manganese, its precipitation as hydroxide should be done in the pH greater than 8.5 in order to get total precipitation. The method also worked for the saturation of iron, but its solubility In the solution of 0.5 N NH4OAc pH 4.8 was very low.

Estuda-se a liberação de cations da vermiculita em solos, como consequência de processos de intemperização.Vermiculitas, em duas granulações diferentes, foram incorporadas a solos arenoso e argiloso, de baixa fertilidade, na proporção de 20% de vermiculita e tratados com água acidificada a pH 5. Os resultados das análises químicas permitem verificar que é grande a quantidade de cations solúveis (cálcio, magnésio e potássio) removidos da vermiculita, enquanto que silício, alumínio e ferro tendem a permanecer no sistema. Como efeito secundário, observa-se elevação do pH do solo, como conseqüência da liberação de cations.

The release of cations from the vermiculite in soils as a consequence of weathering processes was studies. Vermiculites, in two different particle-sizes, were mixed with sandy and clayey soils of low fertility, at the rate of 20% vermiculite, and treated with water acidified to pH 5. The results of chemical analyses showed that a large amount of soluble cations, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium, was removed from the vermiculite, white silicon, aluminum, and iron tended to remain in the system. As a secondary effect, an increase in soil pH, as a consequence of the release of cations, was observed.

Utilizando-se um minério vermiculítico, determinou-se a influência da argila vermiculita na capacidade de fixação de fósforo de um solo Podzólico e de um Latossol, ambos de textura arenosa, proveniente do Município de Piracicaba, S.P. E experimento foi conduzido em laboratório, amostras de terra coletadas no horizonte Ap dos solos misturadas com quantidades crescentes da argila, que variaram entre 1,25 e 25,0 por cento em peso, e incubadas durante períodos de 10 e 20 dias com doses de 50 e 100 ppm de P no solo. Foi feita preliminarmente, a análise mineralógica do minério e dos solos, e das características químicas e granulométricas de todas as amostras. Os resultados da porcentagem de fósforo fixado pelos tratamentos analisaram-se estatisticamente e fizeram-se correlações lineares simples com algumas das características edáficas das amostras. As seguintes conclusões foram obtidas: a) o minério vermiculítico e o solo Podzólico apresentaram as maiores capacidades de fixação do fósforo; b) a porcentagem de fósforo fixada pelos solos aumentou com o acréscimo do porcentual do minério ver miculítico, até adquirir valores próximos a porcentagem fixadas pelo minério puro. Atribui-se este aumento da fixação de fósforo à natureza da argila adicionada (vermiculita) e à alta concentração de magnésio numa faixa de pH favorável à precipitação de compostos fosfatados magnesianos; c) em todos os tratamentos, a quantidade e a porcentagem de fósforo fixada aumentou com o tempo de contato amostra-fósforo. Cerca de 90% ou mais da fixação ocorreu em 10 dias da incubação, sendo que dentro de um mesmo tempo de incubação, a quantidade, em ppm, de fósforo, aumentou com a dose de fósforo aplicado, mas o porcentual fixado diminuiu, indicando a saturação das amostras com o íon fosfato.

Vermiculitic and kaolinitic materials were used to determine the effects of these clay minerals on the phosphorus fixing capacity of two sandy soils, a Podzolic and a Latosol, both occuring in the Piracicaba municipality. Quantities varying from 1.25% to 25% (weight basis) were thoroughly mixed with samples taken from the Ap horizon of the two soils. Two groups of treatments thus prepared received an application of soluble phosphorus at the rate of 50 and 100 ppm, and were incubaded for two different periods, 10 and 20 days. The clayed materials and soils were analysed as to their mineralogical characteristics. The chemical characteristics and particle size distribution of the samples were also determined. The results obtained were statistically analysed. The following condusions were drawn: 1. The vermiculitic material and the Podzolic soil had a greater phosphorus fixing capacity than the kaolinitic material and the Latosol soil, respectively. 2. Percentage of phosphorus fixed by the soils increased with the percentage of vermiculite approaching the fixing capacity of the pure clay-mineral. This effect was attibuted to the nature of the clay (vermiculite) and to a high magnesium concentration in a pH range favorable to the precipitation of phospho-magnesium compounds. 3. Amount and percentage of fixed phosphorus increased with time of incubation for all treatments, but approximately 90% or more of total P fixation occurred after 10 days, indicating that the phosphorus fixing processes stabilized between 10 and 20 days of incubation. 4. For a given incubation period (10 or 20 days), the amount of phosphorus fixed (ppm) increased with rate of P added, but the % of phosphorus fixed decreased, indicating that the samples were probably saturated with the phosphate ion.

O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido visando atingir os seguintes objetivos: 1. quantidade de nutrientes extraídos pelas diversas partes da planta; 2. quantidade exportada pela produção. Foi instalado em fatorial 3³ com três repetições em solo da série Guamium em Piracicaba, SP, usando-se a cultivar IAC-2 de hábito de crescimento indeterminado. Foram aplicados no sulco: 0, 20 e 40 kg de N por ha; 0, 60 e 120 kg de p2O5 por ha, e 0, 30 e 60 kg de K2O por ha. Foram colhidas amostras de plantas, em intervalos de 21 dias, a partir da emergência, até a queda parcial das folhas (105 dias) e analisadas para N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S. Os grãos, também foram analisados para os elementos citados. O período de maior velocidade da absorção dos nutrientes pelas folhas e caules esta entre 44 a 58 dias de idade para as folhas e entre 55-76 dias para os caules. As quantidades de nutrientes extraídos foram afetados pelas partes da planta, com exceção de N e Mg e pelas doses de P aplicados. O acumulo de N, P, K e Mg nos grãos foi afetado somente pelas doses de P aplicados. O acúmulo de Ca e S nos grãos não sofreu influência da adubação NPK.

This study was conducted with the objetives of determing the rate of macronutrient absorption considering the following items: . periods of greatest need for macronutrient nutrition; . amount of macronutrients accumulated in the different parts of the plant; . amount of macronutrients exported in seeds. A 3³ factorial experiment with three replications was used in this study. The experimental area was located at Piracicaba, SP, Brazil. The soil belongs to the Guamium series. IAC-2, an indeterminate soybean cultivar, was used. N, P and K were applied in the rows at the levels of 0, 20 and 40 kg/ha (N), 0, 60 and 120 kg/ha (p2o5), and 0, 30 and 60 kg/ha (k2o). Plant samples were taken at 21-day intervals starting at emergence and continuing until partial fall of the leaves (105 days after emergence). The several plants were analysed for macronutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S). At maturity, seeds from each plant were harvested and analysed for macronutrients. The following conclusions were drawn: . The period of highest rate of absorption of the nutrients by leaves and stems occurred between 44 and 55 days of age for the leaves, and between 55 and 76 days for stems. The amounts of nutrients removed, with exception of N and Mg, were affected by the levels of phosphorus applied to the soil; with exception of N and Mg, the nutrient contents varied according to plant parts; . The accumulation of N, P, K and Mg in the soybean seeds was influenced only by the levels of phosphorus applied to the soil. The accumulation of Ca and S in the seeds was not affected by the levels of N, P, and K. The removal of nutrients through harvest was influenced only by the effects of the treatments on yield of seeds.
