RESUMO Introdução Aplicação do método de aprendizagem baseada em problemas (PBL) ao ensino da fisiologia do esporte. Objetivos Este estudo explorou o mecanismo do método PBL para ampliar o interesse e a eficácia da aprendizagem dos estudantes. Métodos Vinte estudantes do sexo masculino da Faculdade de Educação Física da Universidade Hubei Minzu foram divididos randomicamente em um grupo PBL (10) e um grupo de método de ensino tradicional (TTM). Durante o teste, os participantes do grupo TTM ficaram sentados e em silêncio ouvindo o professor experiente, enquanto os do grupo PBL ficaram sentados e participaram de uma discussão em grupo de 20 minutos de acordo com a orientação do mesmo professor. A pressão parcial do oxigênio transcutâneo (TcPO2), a perfusão sanguínea microcirculatória (MPB) e a potência das bandas alfa e beta foram monitoradas no início e durante o teste. Resultados A média do escore do questionário do grupo PBL foi significativamente maior do que a do grupo TTM. No grupo PBL, o poder alfa dos estudantes diminuiu em termos estatísticos nos canais F3, T3, P3 e O1 e o poder beta dos estudantes aumentou nos canais F7, F3, T3, C3, P3 e O1 em comparação com os valores basais. Conclusão O PBL pode ser um mecanismo eficaz de aprendizagem, uma vez que os estudantes ficam ativamente engajados no ensino da fisiologia do esporte. ABSTRACT Introduction Applying the problem-based learning (PBL) method to the teaching of sports physiology. Objective This study explored the mechanism of the PBL method to improve the interest and learning effectiveness of students. Methods Twenty male students at the Physical Education College of Hubei Minzu University were randomly divided into a PBL group (10) and a traditional teaching method group (TTM). During the test, the subjects in the TTM group sat quietly listening to the experienced teacher, while the subjects in PBL group sat quietly and participated in a 20-minute group discussion under the guidance of the experienced teacher. Transcutaneous partial pressure of oxygen (TcPO2), microcirculatory blood perfusion (MBP), and alpha- and beta-band power were monitored at the beginning of and during the test. Results The mean of the PBL-group quiz score was significantly higher than that of the TTM group. In the PBL group, the alpha power of the students decreased statistically in the F3, T3, P3, and O1 channels and the beta power of the students increased statistically in the F7, F3, T3, C3, P3, and O1 as compared to the baseline values. Conclusion PBL can be an effective learning mechanism, since the students are actively engaged in the teaching of sports physiology. Objetivos Este estudio exploró el mecanismo del método PBL para ampliar el interés y la eficacia del aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Métodos Veinte estudiantes varones de la Facultad de Educación Física de la Universidad de Hubei Minzu fueron divididos aleatoriamente en el grupo PBL (10) y en un grupo de método de enseñanza tradicional (TTM). Durante la prueba, los participantes del grupo TTM permanecieron sentados y escuchando en silencio al profesor experimentado, mientras que los del grupo PBL permanecieron sentados y participaron en un debate de grupo de 20 minutos de acuerdo con la orientación del mismo profesor. La presión parcial de oxígeno transcutáneo (TcpO2), la perfusión sanguínea microcirculatoria (MBP) y la potencia de las bandas alfa y beta se monitorizaron al inicio y durante la prueba. Resultados La puntuación media del cuestionario del grupo PBL fue significativamente mayor que la del grupo TTM. En el grupo PBL, la potencia alfa de los estudiantes disminuyó estadísticamente en los canales F3, T3, P3 y O1 y la potencia beta de los estudiantes aumentó en los canales F7, F3, T3, C3, P3 y O1 en comparación con los valores de referencia. Conclusión El PBL puede ser un mecanismo de aprendizaje eficaz, ya que los estudiantes participan activamente en la enseñanza de la fisiología del deporte. RESUMO Introdução O arranque pertence ao grupo de exercício de combinação rápida envolvendo potência e velocidade dominado pela exaustão a curto prazo da potência de todo o corpo objetivando seu deslocamento em alta velocidade a fim de obter bons resultados na competição. É muito importante dominar a técnica corretamente e distribuir a energia razoavelmente para a aceleração do arranque. Objetivo Explorar o efeito do treinamento de resistência aeróbica sobre a força da velocidade em arranques. Métodos Tomando 16 corredores de alto nível de uma equipe esportiva universitária como objetos de pesquisa, 16 atletas foram testados, de acordo com seus indicadores de teste, eles foram designados aleatoriamente ao grupo experimental e ao grupo de controle (8 pessoas no grupo experimental e 8 no grupo de controle). Resultados De acordo com os resultados do pós-teste do experimento, o desempenho atlético dos dois grupos de corredores após o treinamento foi melhorado, mas a melhoria no grupo experimental foi mais evidente e significativa (p<0,05). Conclusão O treinamento de resistência aeróbica para arranque é muito útil para a melhoria da resistência e velocidade dos atletas corredores. ABSTRACT Introduction Start-up belongs to the group of fast combination exercises involving power and speed dominated by the short-term exhaustion of the whole body’s power aiming at its displacement at high speed to obtain good results in competition. It is very important to master the technique correctly and to distribute the power reasonably for the acceleration of the start. Objective Explore the effect of aerobic endurance training on speed strength in starts. Methods Taking 16 high-level runners from a university sports team as research objects, 16 athletes were tested according to their test indicators; they were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group (8 people each in the experimental group and the control group). Results According to the post-test results of the experiment, the athletic performance of both groups of runners after training was improved, but the improvement in the experimental group was more evident and significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: Start-up aerobic endurance training is very useful for improving endurance and speed in runners. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment outcomes.

RESUMEN Introducción El arranque pertenece al grupo de ejercicios combinados rápidos de potencia y velocidad dominados por el agotamiento a corto plazo de la potencia de todo el cuerpo con el objetivo de su desplazamiento en alta velocidad para obtener buenos resultados en la competición. Es muy importante dominar la técnica correctamente y distribuir la energía razonablemente para la aceleración de la salida. Objetivo Explorar el efecto del entrenamiento de resistencia aeróbica sobre la fuerza de velocidad en las salidas. Métodos Tomando como objeto de investigación a 16 corredores de alto nivel de un equipo deportivo universitario, se realizaron pruebas a 16 atletas que, según sus indicadores de prueba, fueron asignados aleatoriamente al grupo experimental y al grupo de control (8 personas en el grupo experimental y 8 en el grupo de control). Resultados Según los resultados de la prueba posterior al experimento, el rendimiento atlético de ambos grupos de corredores después del entrenamiento mejoró, pero la mejora en el grupo experimental fue más evidente y significativa (p<0,05). Conclusión El entrenamiento de resistencia aeróbica de arranque es muy útil para mejorar la resistencia y la velocidad de los corredores. ABSTRACT Introduction: The activities and competitions related to Chinese boxing continue to grow after its visibility as the national quintessence of the Chinese tradition. A specific training method for its practitioners is necessary to improve its quality and efficiency. Objective: Develop a high-intensity physical training method specific to Chinese boxing athletes. Methods: 130 athletes were volunteers in this research, randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, both groups trained twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays, each training 90 minutes, for a total of 8 weeks. The experimental group was directed to the sport-specific high-intensity physical training protocol, while the control group practiced traditional training. The two groups underwent a comparative analysis of physical fitness indicators specific to Chinese boxing. Results: The experimental group showed a significant improvement in the test after the experiment, with a 12.32% increase in efficiency compared to the control group. The control group's results showed no statistical improvement, showing a slight decrease, with a rate of decrease of −0.58%. Conclusion: After eight weeks of training, the physical training protocol and high intensity directed to Chinese boxing athletes showed a significant impact on the flexibility and strength of its practitioners, is recommended its use. RESUMEN Introducción: Las actividades y competiciones relacionadas con el boxeo chino siguen creciendo tras su visibilidad como quintaesencia nacional de la tradición china. Con el fin de mejorar efectivamente su calidad y eficacia, es necesario un método de formación específico para sus practicantes. Objetivo: Desarrollar un método de entrenamiento físico de alta intensidad específico para los atletas chinos de boxeo. Métodos: 130 atletas fueron voluntarios de esta investigación, divididos aleatoriamente en grupo experimental y grupo de control, ambos grupos entrenaron dos veces a la semana los lunes y los jueves, cada uno entrenando 90 minutos, durante un total de 8 semanas. El grupo experimental fue dirigido al protocolo de entrenamiento físico de alta intensidad específico para el deporte, mientras que el grupo de control practicó el entrenamiento tradicional. Los dos grupos fueron sometidos a un análisis comparativo de los indicadores de aptitud física específicos del boxeo chino. Resultados: El grupo experimental mostró una mejora significativa en la prueba después del experimento, con un aumento del 12,32% en la eficiencia en comparación con el grupo de control. Los resultados del grupo de control no mostraron una mejora estadística, mostrando un ligero descenso, con una tasa de disminución del −0,58%. Conclusión: Después de ocho semanas de entrenamiento, el protocolo de entrenamiento físico y de alta intensidad dirigido a los atletas de boxeo chino mostró un impacto significativo en la flexibilidad y la fuerza de sus practicantes, siendo recomendable su uso. Visando melhorar efetivamente a sua qualidade e eficiência, faz-se necessário um método de treinamento específico para os seus praticantes. Objetivo: Desenvolver um método de treinamento físico de alta intensidade específico para atletas de boxe chinês. Métodos: Foram voluntários dessa pesquisa 130 atletas, divididos aleatoriamente em grupo experimental e no grupo de controle, ambos grupos treinados duas vezes por semana às segundas e quintas-feiras, cada um treinando 90 minutos, por um total de 8 semanas. Ao grupo experimental foi direcionado o protocolo de treinamento físico de alta intensidade específico para o esporte enquanto o grupo controle praticou o treinamento tradicional. Os dois grupos foram submetidos a uma análise comparativa dos indicadores de aptidão física específicos do boxe chinês. Resultados: O grupo experimental mostrou uma melhora significativa no teste após o experimento, com um aumento de 12,32% de eficiência em comparação com o grupo controle. Os resultados do grupo controle não evidenciaram melhora estatística, apresentando ligeira diminuição, com uma taxa de diminuição de −0,58%. Conclusão: Após oito semanas de treinamento, o protocolo de treinamento físico e alta intensidade direcionado para os atletas de boxe chines apresentou um impacto significativo na flexibilidade e força de seus praticantes, sendo recomendada a sua utilização. Abstract Numerical form-finding is an effective method for determining the equilibrium configurations of tensegrity structures. However, the connectivity matrix is required to be input as initial data in most form-finding methods, and it is time-consuming and inconvenient for the designer in processing a complex structure with a large number of components. To address this issue, a novel automatic method of generating a connectivity matrix is proposed for three dimensional N-4 type tensegrity structures in this paper. The novelty of our algorithm is that the number of nodes is the only required parameter for the proposed method. Numerical examples are employed to validate our method. The results show that the proposed method is competent inform-finding for three-dimensional N-4 type tensegrity structures in terms of accuracy, efficiency and convergence.

Abstract To explore the effect of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) mode in the diagnosis and treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pneumonia. A total of 65 patients with suspected COVID-19 pneumonia were included. On February 8, 2020, our hospital officially became a designated hospital for the treatment of COVID-19, and the MDT mode was implemented throughout the diagnosis and treatment for newly admitted patients with suspected COVID-19. The patients were divided into control group and observation group according to whether received MDT mode. Our results showed that the diagnosis time in the observation group was significantly shortened than that in the control group (2.51 days vs. 3.47 days) (p < 0.05). The average daily hospitalization costs in the observation group was significantly decreased in comparison with the control group (¥766.1 vs. ¥1190.4) (p < 0.001). The average daily cost of protective materials in the observation group was significantly reduced in comparison with the control group (¥4226.90 vs. ¥5308.20) (p < 0.001). Compared with the control group, the subjective symptoms of patients in the observation group were significantly improved (p < 0.001). In conclusion, the MDT mode shortens the diagnosis time of, reduces the hospitalization costs, and improves the subjective symptoms of COVID-19.

Abstract To find efficient natural antioxidants and further improve the utilization value of Nymphaea hybrid, the alcohol extracts from that are embedded and an all-round evaluation for the antioxidant activity is carried out. The microcapsule process is optimized by Box-Behnken response surface analysis which includes the wall-to-core ratio of 3.39:1, inlet air temperature at 195.56 °C, and the homogeneous number of 4.03, exhibiting the highest microencapsulation efficiency (94.36%). Antioxidant experiments in vitro showed that there was no significant difference between alcohol extracts and microcapsule on DPPH·, ·O2- and ·OH, while the scavenging activity of microcapsule on ABTS+· was lower against alcohol extracts. It was worth noting that the activities of GSH, SOD and CAT in vivo were increased about 55.55%, 29.13% and 51.23%. Similar results were obtained with microcapsule treatment. The heat treatment results showed the scavenging activities of alcohol extracts and microcapsule on antioxidant experiments in vitro were all decreased; however, the antioxidant activity of microcapsule was higher than that of alcohol extracts, indicating that the microencapsulation could improve the thermal stability. In conclusion, Nymphaea hybrid alcohol extracts is a well natural antioxidants, moreover, this study provide basic support for comprehensive utilization of Nymphaea hybrid.

ABSTRACT To solve the problems of a large number of clods remaining in potatoes after mechanized harvesting in northern heavy clay soil planting areas in China and requiring much labor to separate clods from potatoes, which leads to a heavy workload, inefficiency and a low cleaning rate, an RGB-D-based Mask R-CNN dynamic potato identification model is established by using acquired RBG-D image data of untreated potatoes after mechanized harvesting, and a potato cleaning method is presented in this paper. This makes it possible to automatically separate clod impurities from potatoes. The experimental results showed that the prediction accuracy of the identification model is more than 97%. With the increase in cleaning conveyance speed, the prediction accuracy of the model and the actual cleaning precision show a downward trend. Comprehensively considering the potato cleaning efficiency and accuracy, when the speed is set to 0.4 m·s−1, the cleaning precision reaches as high as 96.35%. This research provides a method and theoretical reference for the further study of intelligent potato cleaning systems.

Abstract In the current research, edible meat of freshwater clam Corbicula fluminea was subjected to enzymatic peptide extraction using animal protease. The clam protein hydrolysate (CPH) contained 45.78% essential amino acids and 44.97% hydrophobic amino acids and showed high alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) activation in vitro. Four fractions were divided from CPH by ultrafiltration and further investigated for their hepatoprotective effects on alcohol-induced injury in mice. The 2.5-5 kDa fraction (CPH-3) showed the best effect for preventing hepatic damage caused by alcohol, as revealed by reduced serum aspartate transaminase (AST) and alanine transaminase (ALT) activities and hepatic malondialdehyde (MDA) level, the marked decrease in the hepatic triglyceride (TG) contents, and the enhanced hepatic ADH, aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), and glutathione (GSH) activities. Furthermore, histopathology of CPH-3-treated mice showed less hepatic tissue damage compared to alcohol- or other CPHs-treated mice. Hence, CPH-3 was further purified by consecutive chromatographic techniques with gel filtration and reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. One hepatoprotective peptide, KKLAGFLRYYS (1330.68 Da), was identified by LC-MS/MS, which exhibited strong ADH activation activity. Results suggested that CPH could be a potential nutraceutical for facilitating alcohol metabolism and preventing or ameliorating early liver injury induced by acute alcohol exposure and that the peptide KKLAGFLRYYS is one of the main bioactive components in CPH.

Abstract High heterogeneity of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a major clinical challenge. This study aims to characterize the molecular features of LUAD through classification based on metabolism-related genes. A total of 500 LUAD samples from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and 612 from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) were integrated with 2,753 metabolism-related genes to determine the molecular classification. Systematic bioinformatics analysis was used to conduct correlation analysis between metabolism-related classification and molecular characteristics of LUAD. LUAD patients were divided into three molecular clusters (C1-C3). Survival analysis revealed that C1 and C2 showed good and poor prognoses, respectively. Associational analysis of classification and molecular characteristics revealed that C1 was associated with low pathological stage, metabolic pathways, high metabolic process, active immune process and checkpoint, sensitive drug response, as well as a low genetic mutation. Nevertheless, C2 was associated with high pathological stage, carcinogenic pathways, low metabolic process, inactive immune signatures, resistant drug response, and frequent genetic mutation. Eventually, a classifier with 60 metabolic genes was constructed, confirming the robustness of molecular classification on LUAD. Our findings promote the understanding of LUAD molecular characteristics, and the research data may be used for providing information be helpful for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract Objectives: To summarize and differentiate abdominal ultrasound findings of necrotizing enterocolitis and food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome. Methods: From January 2017 to December 2018, the abdominal ultrasound results of 304 cases diagnosed necrotizing enterocolitis or food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome were retrospectively analyzed. The presence of pneumatosis intestinalis, portal venous gas, bowel wall thickening, intestinal motility, focal fluid collections and hypoechoic change of gallbladder wall were calculated, and the results were compared and analyzed. Results: Pneumatosis intestinalis, portal venous gas, bowel wall thickening, intestinal motility weakened/absent, focal fluid collections and hypoechoic change of gallbladder wall can be found in both necrotizing enterocolitis and food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome infants. However, in infants with necrotizing enterocolitis, intestinal motility was weakened/absent in whole abdomen, and in food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome, it only involved isolated segment of bowel. The positive rates of above signs in necrotizing enterocolitis infants were significantly higher than those in food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (p < 0.01). Moreover, it was observed that the rate of weakened intestinal motility besides the lesion segment of bowel in necrotizing enterocolitis infants was 100%, and in food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome infants, it was 0%, which is supposed to be a main sign for identification. Conclusion: In the early stage, abdominal ultrasound can be used to differentiate necrotizing enterocolitis and food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome.

ABSTRACT Plants and insects have co-existed for millions of years. Although research has been conducted on various insect species that induce galls on various plant tissues, information is particularly scarce when it comes to insects that form galls on the tough trunk of their host plants. This contribution describes the gall-inducing aphid Nipponaphis hubeiensis sp. nov. from the Zhushan County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province of China. This aphid induces enclosed galls with woody external layer on the trunk of Sycopsis sinensis (Saxifragales: Hamamelidaceae), an uncommon ecological niche in the aphid-plant interaction system. Morphological features for the identification of new species are provided. In addition, a partial sequence of the nuclear gene EF1α was amplified and sequenced to construct a cluster graph. Based on the clustering graph combined with morphology traits, the gall-forming aphid was classified into Nipponaphis. The unique ecological habits of this new aphid will bring innovative perspectives to the study of the evolution and diversity in aphid-host interaction.

Abstract Limited initiation energy or external stimulation may cause incomplete detonation in a warhead. At present, there is no quantitative method to characterize the energy release of a warhead charge for incomplete detonation such as explosion and deflagration. We propose a method based on average fragment quality to characterize the energy released by a warhead charge. The theoretical study shows that the average fragment quality after warhead initiation is inversely proportional to the initial fragment velocity. The relationship between the average fragment quality and explosive energy release is established and verified by experiment. This relation can be used to determine the charge energy released after warhead initiation. It provides a theoretical basis for optimizing efficiency of charge energy use in high-energy conventional damage technology and warhead design, and provides a quantitative method for evaluating insensitive ammunition.

Macrophages play pivotal roles in host defense and immune homeostasis, which have two major functional polarization states, the classically activated M1 and the alternatively activated M2. Interleukin (IL)-17A is an immune modulator able to shape macrophage phenotypes. Wnt/β-catenin is a developmental signaling pathway that plays crucial roles in morphogenesis and tissue homeostasis, which has also been recently demonstrated playing roles in immune regulation. A growing amount of evidence suggests that both Wnt and IL-17A signaling are involved in macrophage polarization. However, their interaction in macrophage polarization remains elusive. The aim of present study was to explore impacts of Wnt/β-catenin on IL-17A-mediated macrophage M1/M2 polarization in murine monocyte/macrophage-like cell line RAW264.7. Results revealed that IL-17A activated Wnt/β-catenin signaling and induced macrophage M1 polarization, but inhibited M2 polarization. In contrast, the activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling led to the inhibition of M1 macrophage polarization but the promotion of M2 polarization. Importantly, the activation of Wnt/β-catenin also showed abilities to inhibit the IL-17A-induced M1 macrophage polarization while diminishing the IL-17A-inhibited M2 polarization. Molecular analysis further uncovered that the JAK/STAT signaling pathway was involved in the interaction of Wnt/β-catenin and IL-17A in the modulation of macrophage polarization. These results suggested that the Wnt/β-catenin signaling modulated IL-17A-altered macrophage polarization in part by regulating the JAK/STAT signaling pathway. This study thus revealed a novel function of Wnt/β-catenin signaling in regulating IL-17A-altered macrophage polarization.

The objectives of this study were to modify Chinese natural zeolite by NaCl and to investigate its suitability as a low-cost clay adsorbent to remove ammonium from aqueous solution. The effect of pH on ammonium removal was investigated by batch experiments. The findings indicated that pH has a significant effect on the removal of ammonium by M-Zeo and maximum adsorption occured at pH 8. Ion exchange dominated the ammonium adsorption process at neutral pH, with the order of exchange selectivity being Na+ > Ca2+ > K+ > Mg2+. The Freundlich model provided a better description of the adsorption process than the Langmuir model. The maximum ammonium adsorption capacity was 17.83 mg/g for M-Zeo at 293K. Considering the adsorption isotherms and thermodynamic studies, the adsorption of ammonium by M-Zeo was endothermic and spontaneous chemisorption. Kinetic studies indicated that the adsorption of ammonium onto M-Zeo is well fitted by the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Ea in the Arrhenius equation suggested the adsorption of ammonium on M-Zeo was a fast and diffusion-controlled process. The regeneration rate was 90.61% after 5 cycles. The removal of ammonium from real wastewater was carried out, and the removal efficiency was up to 99.13%. Thus, due to its cost-effectiveness and high adsorption capacity, M-Zeo has potential for use in ammonium removal from aqueous solutions.
