ABSTRACT: This study evaluated the impacts of thermal processing on the chemical composition of jackfruit seeds and their toxicity. The ash content of the seeds subjected to roasting was higher (3.21%) compared to the seeds in the other treatments. However, the contents of moisture (5.29%) and protein (10.49%) were lower. The protein content showed a significant difference (P≤ 0.05) among the studied groups (10.49%). The lipid content was lower in the seeds subjected to cooking (1.13%), while the carbohydrate content showed a significant difference (P≤ 0.05) among the groups studied (54.11%). Raw seeds had the highest fiber content (25.20%). Regarding toxicity, only the cooked jackfruit seed flour showed cytotoxic potential. However, none of the samples caused irritation or vascular disorders in fertilized eggs. These results suggested that heat treatment can ensure the safety of seeds against cytotoxicity; although, it reduces the content of some macronutrients.

RESUMO: Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar os impactos do processamento térmico na composição química das sementes de jaca sua toxicidade. O teor de cinzas das sementes submetida à torra foi maior (3,21%) em comparação com as sementes nos outros tratamentos. No entanto, os teores de umidade (5,29%) e proteínas (10,49%) foram menores. O teor de proteínas apresentou diferença significativa (P≤ 0.05) entre os grupos estudados (10,49%). O teor de lipídeos foi menor nas sementes submetidas ao cozimento (1,13%), enquanto o teor de carboidratos apresentou diferença significativa (P ≤ 0.05) entre os grupos estudados (54,11%). As sementes brutas apresentaram o maior teor de fibras (25,20%). Em relação à toxicidade, apenas a farinha de sementes de jaca cozidas apresentou potencial citotóxico, embora nenhuma das amostras tenha causado irritação ou distúrbios vasculares em ovos fecundados. Esses resultados sugerem que o tratamento térmico pode garantir a segurança das sementes frente à citotoxicidade, embora reduza o teor de alguns macronutrientes.

This article debates the educational policies in Brazil considering how changes in the education curriculum have direct implications for teaching practices and the social transformations of brazilian reality. The objective is to analyse the limits of the Common National Curricular Base – BNCC (the new brazilian education system) for the promotion of a decolonial and anti-racist education. For this, the document was subjected to an analysis of the contents and references associated with the ethnic-racial issues presented in its introductory text and, in particular, in the descriptors of skills and competences oriented to the subject Geography in Elementary School. The analysis made it possible to identify a set of contradictions and a series of structural and conjunctural setbacks that do not guarantee the development of a decolonial and anti-racist education. Some of these results reiterate that the BNCC was produced as part of the actions of conservative social agents in Brazilian society, therefore, it demonstrates low possibilities of promoting a emancipatory education.

Este artículo debate las políticas educativas en Brasil considerando cómo los cambios en el currículo educativo tienen implicaciones directas para las prácticas docentes y las transformaciones sociales de la realidad brasileña. El objetivo es analizar los límites de la Base Curricular Nacional Común – BNCC (nuevo sistema educativo brasileño) para la promoción de una educación decolonial y antirracista. Para ello, el documento fue sometido a un análisis de los contenidos y referencias asociadas a las cuestiones étnico-raciales presentadas en su texto introductorio y, en particular, en los descriptores de habilidades y competencias orientadas a la asignatura Geografía en la Enseñanza Fundamental. El análisis permitió identificar un conjunto de contradicciones y una serie de retrocesos estructurales y coyunturales que no garantizan el desarrollo de una educación decolonial y antirracista. Algunos de estos resultados reiteran que el BNCC fue producido como parte de las acciones de los agentes sociales conservadores en la sociedad brasileña, por lo tanto, demuestra bajas posibilidades de promover una educación emancipadora.  

Este artigo estimula o debate sobre as políticas educacionais no Brasil considerando, sobretudo, como as alterações do currículo escolar oferecem implicações diretas para a formação docente e a transformação social da realidade brasileira. O objetivo é desevolver uma análise sobre as contradições da Base Nacional Curricular Comum – BNCC para a promoção de uma educação geográfica decolonial e antirracista. Para isso, o documento foi submetido a uma análise dos conteúdos e referenciais associados às questões étnico-raciais apresentados no seu texto introdutório e, nos descritores de habilidades e competências orientados para a disciplina Geografia no Ensino Fundamental. A análise possibilitou a identificação de um conjunto de contradições e uma série de retrocessos estruturais e conjunturais que não garantem o desenvolvimento de uma ducação decolonial e antirracista a partir da georafia. Alguns desses resultados reiteram que a BNCC foi produzida como parte das ações de agentes sociais conservadores da sociedade brasileira, portanto, demonstra baixas possibilidades de promoção de uma educação transformadora e emancipatória.

Abstract In the European Union, all medicines must include appropriate labelling and the respective patient information leaflet (PIL), which is the most reachable source of medicine’s information for patients. This document includes a set of information understandable by their potential users and complementary to the information provided by health professionals. The ageing of the Portuguese population raises the need for the appropriateness of medicine’s information for older consumers, taking into account their specific needs arising from physiological changes impacting drug action. This project aimed to analyse the content of medicines’ PILs, specifically directed at older persons. A sample of medicines was selected considering the 100 active substances more consumed in Portugal by patients with chronic pathologies such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidaemia. The analysis included readability, legibility, and content (directly and indirectly related to the use of medicines by older persons). A total of 69 PILs were analysed, and it was observed that the information provided about the drugs was included in most of these PILs (95.7%; n = 66) but without any specific information for patients belonging to different age groups. Signalling-specific warnings for older persons were only available in less than half of the PILs (46.4%; n = 32). The presence of relevant information on the appropriate use of the drug such as the recommended dose was only specified for older persons in 28% (n = 19) of the analysed PILs. The information available in PILs which can be considered as specifically directed to older persons is relatively scarce, even in areas as critical as the instructions for use. Hopefully, these results will contribute to increasing awareness regarding the need to adapt PILs’ content to specific consumers and to test them to guarantee that they are adequate for all potential consumers.

Resumo Na União Europeia, todos os medicamentos devem incluir rotulagem adequada e o respetivo Folheto Informativo (FI), que é a fonte mais acessível de informação sobre o medicamento para os pacientes. Este documento inclui um conjunto de informações percetíveis pelos seus potenciais utilizadores e complementares às informações prestadas pelos profissionais de saúde. O envelhecimento da população portuguesa suscita a necessidade de adequação da informação dos medicamentos aos consumidores idosos, tendo em consideração as suas necessidades específicas decorrentes das alterações fisiológicas com impacto na ação dos fármacos. Este projeto teve como objetivo analisar o conteúdo de FIs de medicamentos, especificamente dirigido a pacientes idosos. Foi selecionada uma amostra de medicamentos considerando as 100 substâncias ativas mais consumidas em Portugal por doentes com patologias crónicas como diabetes mellitus, hipertensão e dislipidemia. Esta análise incluiu a legibilidade (legibility e readability) e conteúdo (direta e indiretamente relacionado com o uso dos medicamentos pelos idosos). Foram analisados 69 FIs, e verificou-se que as informações fornecidas sobre os medicamentos estavam incluídas na maioria desses FIs (95,7%; n = 66), mas sem nenhuma informação específica para pacientes pertencentes a diferentes faixas etárias. As advertências específicas para idosos só estavam disponíveis em menos da metade dos FIs (46,4%; n = 32) analisados. As informações relevantes para o uso adequado do medicamento, como, por exemplo, a dose recomendada, só estava especificada para pacientes idosos em 28% (n = 19) dos FIs analisados. A informação disponível nestes documentos, e que pode ser considerada como sendo direcionada especificamente aos idosos, é relativamente escassa, mesmo em áreas tão críticas como as instruções de utilização. Espera-se que estes resultados possam contribuir para aumentar a consciencialização sobre a necessidade de adaptar especificamente o conteúdo dos FIs aos seus consumidores e de os testar para garantir que serão adequados para todos os potenciais utilizadores.

Abstract This work aimed to investigate the physicochemical and functional composition of bee pollen produced in different municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Norte/Brazil (RN) and commercial samples produced in other places. To perform these experiments, samples of dehydrated bee pollen were crushed and subjected to physicochemical evaluation, instrumental color, fatty acid profile, evaluation of the presence of bioactive compounds [Total Phenolic Compounds (TPC), carotenoids] and antioxidant activity (reduction of DPPH radical). The pH of the pollen samples varied from 4.55 to 5.08, the protein from 19.01% to 29.71%, and the ash from 2.44% to 4.27%. All pollen samples showed a yellowish-red hue (a* and b* positive), and the pollen produced in Touros/RN/BR stood out with a lighter color (L* = 32.91). The pollen produced in Touros/RN/BR showed a higher (p < 0.05) percentage of saturated fatty acids (41.60%), whereas the pollen collected in Taipu/RN/BR had a higher percentage of monounsaturated fatty acids (7.44%). Pollen samples showed a low concentration of Total Carotenoid Content (TCC) (0.81 to 22.82 µg/g), as well as a high content of TPC (1.79 to 2.28 mg GAE/g) and antioxidant activity (1.40 to 5.70 µmol TE/g) when compared with the consulted literature. According to the obtained results, we could infer that pollen samples from different locations showed variations in physicochemical composition, coloration, fatty acid profile, TPC and antioxidant activity which reflects the geographic diversity inherent to the production sites.

Abstract Background Sudden cardiac death is the main lethal mechanism associated with Chagas cardiomyopathy. Studies suggest that dysautonomia may represent a relevant, intense, independent, and early phenomenon in the natural history of the disease, even when ventricular systolic function is preserved, and may also be the mechanism that triggers malignant ventricular arrhythmias. Objective To evaluate the degree of dysautonomia and its possible association with ventricular arrhythmias in patients with Chagas cardiomyopathy, according to different categories of mortality risk, as defined by the score proposed by Rassi, used as a surrogate outcome for death. Methods A cross-sectional study involving 43 patients with Chagas cardiomyopathy stratified into risk categories based on the Rassi score, with 23 being classified as low risk and 20 as intermediate-to-high risk. Heart rate variability (HRV) was assessed using Holter monitoring for long-term recordings of 24 hours (time domain) and for short-term recordings of 5 minutes (frequency domain) at rest and after autonomic tests: deep breathing and Valsalva maneuver. The HRV variables were compared between the groups using the Student's t-test and α=0.05. Results Comparison of the results between the risk stratification groups showed no differences in HRV indexes, either in the time or frequency domain. However, results showed a significant increase in the number of arrhythmias as a function of increased risk (p=0.02). Conclusion There was no association between the degree of dysautonomia, evaluated by Holter monitoring, and the categories of mortality risk, despite a direct association between the rate of arrhythmias and the higher risk group.

Resumo A coagulação intravascular disseminada (CID) é uma síndrome clínica e laboratorial que resulta em ativação excessiva e desregulada da cascata de coagulação. Apesar das manifestações trombóticas frequentes, a isquémia cerebral arterial clinicamente significativa é raramente reportada. Descrevemos o caso de um homem de 80 anos, admitido por acidente vascular cerebral isquémico (AVCi) multifocal, alteração das provas de coagulação e agravamento da função renal. Após extensa investigação, assumiu-se o diagnóstico de trombose multissistémica no contexto de CID crónica. A biópsia de gânglio mediastínico foi compatível com metástases de adenocarcinoma do pulmão. Foi iniciada enoxaparina em dose terapêutica, mas o doente rapidamente se deteriorou e faleceu. As microangiopatias trombóticas devem ser consideradas no diagnóstico diferencial do AVCi, especialmente se multifocal e associado a manifestações de isquémia noutros órgãos. A CID crónica pode ser secundária a adenocarcinomas produtores de mucina e tem sido crescentemente reportada na neoplasia do pulmão avançada. O prognóstico é sombrio e a anticoagulação insuficiente, na ausência de terapêutica de base.

Abstract Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is an acquired clinical and laboratory syndrome that results in excessive and unregulated activation of the coagulation cascade. Although thrombotic manifestations are common, clinically significant cerebral arterial ischemia is rarely reported. We report the case of an 80-year-old man admitted for multifocal stroke, altered coagulation tests and worsening renal function. After extensive investigation, the diagnosis of multisystem thrombosis in the context of chronic DIC was assumed. A lymph node biopsy documented lung adenocarcinoma metastasis. Therapeutic enoxaparin was started but the patient rapidly deteriorated and died. Thrombotic microangiopathies should be considered in the differential diagnosis of stroke, especially if multifocal and associated with ischemic manifestations in other organs. Chronic DIC can be secondary to mucin-producing solid adenocarcinomas and has been increasingly reported in stage IV lung cancer. The overall prognosis is poor and anticoagulation is insufficient in the absence of treatment of the underlying disease.

Abstract Uterine rupture in pregnancy is a rare but serious condition. It commonly occurs in uterus with a previous scar, but in rare cases in can happen in unscared uterus. The authors report a case of a pregnant women, with a prior vaginal delivery and no history of uterine surgery, that develops a hypovolemic shock after birth. After a abdominal ultrasound showing a massive hemoperitoneum, an exploratory laparotomy was performed and an uterine rupture detected. The defect was corrected and hysterectomy was not necessary. This article aims to draw attention to this condition because early diagnosis can save mother’s life.

Resumo A rotura uterina que acontece na gravidez é uma situação rara, mas grave. Ocorre normalmente em úteros com cicatrizes prévias, mas raramente, pode acontecer em úteros sem cicatriz. Os autores apresentam o caso de uma grávida, com um parto vaginal anterior e sem história de cirurgia uterina prévia, que desenvolveu um choque hipovolémico após parto. Após a ecografia abdominal demonstrar um hemoperitoneu massivo, realizou-se uma laparoscopia diagnóstica onde se encontrou uma rotura uterina. O defeito da parede uterina foi corrigido não sendo necessária uma histerectomia. Assim é importante estar alerta para esta situação, pois o diagnóstico precoce pode salvar vidas.

RESUMO Introdução: Receptores de transplante renal são um subgrupo de doentes com maior risco de apresentar formas críticas de infecção por Síndrome Respiratória Aguda Grave pelo Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) e piores outcomes devido ao tratamento imunossupressor. Aqui, apresentamos dados de uma coorte de um único centro de receptores de transplante renal com infecção por SARS-CoV-2. Métodos: Num estudo prospectivo, características basais, características clínicas, adaptação da terapêutica antiviral e de imunossupressão foram comparados entre doentes seguidos em ambulatório e doentes hospitalizados durante um período de um ano. Resultados: Foram analisados setenta e sete receptores de transplante renal, incluindo doentes de ambulatório e hospitalizados, com idade média de 57,7 (IIQ 49,7-64,9) anos. Vinte e oito (36,4%) foram tratados em ambulatório enquanto 49 (63,6%) doentes necessitaram de internação hospitalar. Entre os doentes hospitalizados, 18,4% foram admitidos na UTI, 49% apresentaram LRA, e 20,4% morreram. Foram realizados ajustes de imunossupressão em 95,9% dos pacientes hospitalizados, com dose de antimetabólitos ajustada em 83,7%, inibidores de mTOR em 14,3%, inibidores de calcineurina em 12,2%, e terapia com corticosteroides em 81,6%. Conclusão: Entre os pacientes hospitalizados, a optimização da terapêutica imunossupressora incluiu redução ou retirada de antimetabólito e aumento da dose de corticosteroides. A LRA ocorreu em quase metade dos pacientes e a mortalidade em pacientes hospitalizados atingiu 20%, refletindo uma maior gravidade da doença em relação à população em geral.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Kidney transplant recipients are a subgroup of patients at higher risk of critical forms of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and poor outcomes due to immunosuppression treatment. Herein, we present data from a single center cohort of kidney transplant recipients with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Methods: In a prospective study, baseline characteristics, clinical features, antiviral and immunosuppression management were compared between outpatients and hospitalized patients, during a one-year period. Results: Seventy-seven kidney transplant recipients were analyzed, including outpatients and hospitalized patients, with a median age of 57.7 (IQR 49.7-64.9) years. Twenty-eight (36.4%) were managed as outpatients, while 49 (63.6%) patients required hospital admission. Among hospitalized patients, 18.4% were admitted in ICU, 49% had AKI, and 20.4% died. Immunosuppression adjustments were performed in 95.9% of hospitalized patients, with dose of anti-metabolites adjusted in 83.7%, mTOR inhibitors in 14.3%, calcineurin inhibitors in 12.2%, and corticosteroid therapy in 81.6%. Conclusion: Among hospitalized patients, immunosuppression management included reduction or withdrawal of anti-metabolite and increase of corticosteroid dose. AKI occurred in almost half of patients and mortality in hospitalized patients reached 20%, reflecting greater disease severity than the general population.

ABSTRACT Introduction: The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pandemic caused a negative impact on transplantation worldwide. One of the complexities is the management of the immunosuppression and anti-viral medication in transplant recipients. Herein we describe our experience managing five patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) immediately after kidney transplant. Description: we describe a series of five transplant recipients. Two were submitted to a low immunological risk induction immunosuppression: one developed severe disease, the other developed critical disease. The remaining three were submitted to a high immunologic risk immunosuppression: one developed mild disease, but approximately two months after diagnosis developed moderate COVID-19; another developed severe COVID-19; the remaining patient developed critical illness and perished. Both patients with critical COVID-19 developed bacterial and fungal superinfections in the Intensive Care Unit. All eligible patients were submitted to remdesivir and dexamethasone. The anti-metabolite was reduced or suspended. Despite worsening kidney function during the acute phase, kidney replacement therapy was only needed in one patient and the average serum creatinine at the time of discharge was lower that the pre-COVID-19 nadir. Discussion: There is still no definitive answer on whether solid organ transplant recipients carry a higher risk for morbimortality. Risk factors for the general population can also affect their outcome. The prolonged viral shedding in recipients may explain the irregular evolution of the patient who developed COVID-19 months after the initial diagnosis. The reduction of immunosuppression can be problematic in early post-transplant, but no apparent signs of rejection were noted. Literature addressing this specific context is scarce and studies are needed to clarify the optimal management of these patients.

Abstract Malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium spp. protozoa. The ability of Plasmodium to develop resistance to current antimalarial drugs makes the study of chemotherapeutic alternatives extremely important. This study aimed to evaluate the antimalarial activity of compound 3286938 (1-(3-benzyloxy-4-methoxy-phenyl)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxy-phenyl)-propan-1-one), which presents in its structure a 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl group, in vitro, using the W2 strain of P. falciparum and against circulating strains of P. vivax and P. falciparum from the state of Rondônia. The compound 3286938 obtained an IC50 of 24.4 µM against the W2 strain of P. falciparum, and against the circulating strains, it presented a median (MD)=38.7 µM for P. vivax and MD=6.7 µM for P. falciparum. As for toxicity, 3286938 showed CC50 > 500 µM for VERO and HepG2 strains with a selectivity index greater than 12.9, a ratio calculated for P. falciparum and P. vivax regarding Vero and HepG2 cells. The compound was not considered hemolytic in in vitro assays, thus indicating the specificity of its antiplasmodial action. Based on the results presented, and considering the unprecedented character of the compound, it can be concluded that 3286938 was shown to be promising for complementary in vitro and in vivo studies aiming to produce effective antiplasmodial action.

Resumo Introdução: A vídeocapilaroscopia periungueal é uma técnica não invasiva dirigida ao estudo da microcirculação. Este exame constitui-se como uma ferramenta adicional na avaliação do doente com alterações da microcirculação, na maioria dos casos por suspeita de doença autoimune. Métodos: Primeiros 101 doentes submetidos a vídeocapilaroscopia periungueal no nosso hospital num período de 18 meses, com recurso a um vídeocapilaroscópio digital. Resultados: Cento e um doentes, 85% mulheres, idade média 50 anos. O principal motivo de referenciação foi a existência de fenómeno de Raynaud (93%). A avaliação capilaroscópica foi sugestiva de fenómeno de Raynaud primário em 28 doentes e secundário em 65. Discussão: Os dados descritos, embora numa amostra ainda pequena, permitem reforçar a utilidade da vídeocapilaroscopia periungueal na avaliação inicial dos doentes com suspeita de disfunção da microcirculação, especialmente no contexto de patologia autoimune. A identificação precoce dos indivíduos com maior risco de progressão para doença autoimune permitirá otimizar o seu acompanhamento, nomeadamente com vigilância regular em consulta externa, facilidade de acesso à equipa médica assistente para deteção precoce de novos sintomas e avaliação laboratorial regular. Conclusão: A vídeocapilaroscopia periungueal é um método acessível e de baixo custo, que contribui conjuntamente com a avaliação laboratorial para a identificação precoce dos indivíduos com fenómeno de Raynaud secundário, podendo assim afetar positivamente o acompanhamento dos mesmos. O desenvolvimento futuro desta técnica poderá representar um preditor de progressão de doença.

Abstract Introduction: Nailfold videocapillaroscopy is a noninvasive technique aimed to study microcirculation. This exam is an additional tool in the management of the patient with microcirculation changes, mostly in cases due to suspected autoimmune disease. Methods: First 101 patients undergoing nailfold videocapillaroscopy in our hospital over an 18-month period, using a digital videocapillaroscope. Results: One hundred and one patients, 85% women, average age 50 years. The main reason for referencing was Raynaud´s phenomenon (93%). Capillaroscopic evaluation was suggestive of primary Raynaud´s phenomenon in 28 patients and secondary in 65. Discussion: The results described, although in a small sample, allow to reinforce the usefulness of nailfold videocapillaroscopy in the evaluation of patients with suspected microcirculatory dysfunction, especially in the context of autoimmune pathology. The early identification of individuals with a higher risk of progression to autoimmune disease will allow to optimize their follow-up, with regular surveillance, easy access to the medical team for an early detection of symptoms and regular laboratory evaluation. Conclusion: Nailfold videocapillaroscopy is an accessible and lowcost exam, which contributes together with laboratory results for the early identification of individuals with secondary Raynaud´s phenomenon. The future development of this technique may represent a predictor of disease progression.

Contexto: Apesar de su naturaleza ubicua, la práctica del cateterismo venoso periférico no es homogénea en contextos clínicos internacionales. En Portugal, la información sobre la práctica del cateterismo venoso periférico está dispersa en la literatura, haciéndolo imposible un análisis lo suficientemente completo de su naturaleza e implicaciones. Objetivos: Mapear los estudios realizados en Portugal en el ámbito del cateterismo venoso periférico. Método de revisión: Metodología de scoping review propuesta por Joanna Briggs Institute. Se definió un protocolo adecuado a cada base/repositorio para identificar estudios que respondan a los criterios delineados. El proceso de análisis da relevancia, extracción y síntesis de los datos será desarrollado por revisores independientes. Presentación e interpretación de los resultados: El mapeo de los estudios realizados en Portugal en esta área contribuirá a la identificación de los principales indicadores de estructura, proceso y resultado descritos en estudios nacionales. Conclusión: Se espera que esta revisión contribuya al desarrollo de futuras intervenciones y revisiones sistemáticas que mejoren la eficacia/seguridad de la atención del paciente con catéter periférico.

Contexto: Apesar da sua natureza ubíqua, a prática de cateterização venosa periférica não é homogénea entre contextos clínicos internacionais. Em Portugal, a informação referente à prática de cateterismo venoso periférico encontra-se dispersa na literatura, impossibilitando uma análise suficientemente compreensiva e abrangente da sua natureza e implicações. Objetivos: Mapear os estudos realizados em Portugal no âmbito do cateterismo venoso periférico. Método de revisão: Metodologia de scoping review proposta pelo Joanna Briggs Institute. Foi definido um protocolo adequado a cada base/repositório, que visa a identificação de estudos que respondam aos critérios delineados. O processo de análise da relevância, extração e síntese dos dados será desenvolvido por revisores independentes. Apresentação e interpretação dos resultados: O mapeamento dos estudos realizados em Portugal neste âmbito contribuirá para a identificação dos principais indicadores de estrutura, processo e resultado descritos em estudos nacionais. Conclusão: Espera-se que esta revisão sustente o desenvolvimento de intervenções e revisões sistemáticas futuras que potenciem a eficácia/segurança dos cuidados prestados ao doente com cateter periférico.

Background: Despite its ubiquitous nature, the practice of peripheral venous catheterization is not homogeneous among international clinical contexts. In Portugal, the information regarding the practice of peripheral venous catheterization is scattered in the literature, hindering efforts of a comprehensive analysis of its nature and implications. Objetive: To map the studies developed in Portugal in the field of peripheral venous catheterization. Review method: Scoping review methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute. An adequate protocol was established for each base/repository in order to identify studies that meet the criteria outlined. The analysis of data relevance, extraction and synthesis will be performed by independent reviewers. Presentation and interpretation of results: the mapping of the studies carried out in Portugal in this area will contribute to the identification of the main indicators of structure, process and outcome described in national studies. Conclusion: It is expected that this review will support the development of future interventions and systematic reviews that enhance the efficacy/safety of the care provided to patients with peripheral catheter.

Abstract The cytogenetic characteristics of five fish species of the Moenkhausia are described, based on the analysis of specimens collected in different headwater. All the species analyzed presented 2n=50 chromosomes. The C-banding revealed a similar distribution pattern of heterochromatic blocks in all the species, except Moenkhausia nigromarginata. The 5S rDNA sites were distributed on multiple chromosome pairs in all five species. Single and multiple histone H1 sites were observed in all the species, and histone H1 was shown to be co-located with the 18S rRNA gene in a single chromosome pair. The U2 snDNA gene was distributed at multiple sites in all the Moenkhausia species. The presence of B microchromosomes was confirmed in Moenkhausia forestii, while individuals of the three study populations of Moenkhausia oligolepis presented three morphologically distinct types of B chromosome. The chromosomal mapping of the 18S rDNA sites using the FISH technique revealed signals in the B chromosomes of M. forestii, while clusters of the H1 histone and U2 snDNA genes were found in the B chromosomes of M. forestii and M. oligolepis. The classical and molecular cytogenetic markers used in this study revealed ample variation in the Moenkhausia karyotypes, reflecting the dynamic nature of the chromosomal evolution.

Resumo Objetivo: relatar uma experiência de acolhimento de trabalhadores em um serviço escola de psicologia e apresentar os resultados obtidos por meio de ações desenvolvidas para o enfretamento, individual e coletivo, de assédio moral no trabalho. Métodos: relato de intervenção vivenciada em serviço de psicologia. A intervenção se deu em dois momentos: 1) acolhimento terapêutico individual do caso inicial, 2) acolhimento em grupo. O atendimento individual ocorreu em oito encontros e o de grupo, constituído por sete trabalhadores, em nove encontros. A análise se deu com a leitura de prontuários e diários e de reuniões para discussão e convergência dos conteúdos emergidos. Resultados: foram sistematizados dois dispositivos de análise, o assédio ao indivíduo e o assédio ao grupo. O primeiro apontou as reelaborações do trabalhador frente ao fenômeno. O segundo promoveu o fortalecimento enquanto grupo, por meio da partilha e da construção coletiva dos meios de enfrentamento. Conclusão: reafirma-se a importância do acolhimento ao assediado e/ou testemunhas como modo inicial para enfrentar o assédio, seguido da necessidade de espaços coletivos para ressignificação dos efeitos psicossociais que o assédio moral produz ao trabalhador e ao seu trabalho.

Abstract Objective: to report an experience of welcoming workers in a psychology school service and to present the results obtained through actions undertaken for the individual and collective confrontation of mobbing at work. Methods: report of intervention experienced in a psychology service. The intervention took place in two moments: 1) initial case individual therapeutic welcoming, 2) group welcoming. The individual care was provided in eight meetings. The group, consisting of seven workers, in nine care meetings. The analysis was carried out with the reading of medical records and diaries, as well as by meetings for discussion and convergence of the emerged contents. Results: two analysis devices were systematized: individual mobbing and group mobbing. The first one pointed out the worker’s re-elaborations due to the phenomenon. The second promoted the group strengthening while it shared and constructed collectively its means of confrontation. Conclusion: the authors reaffirm the importance of welcoming the mobbed workers and/or their witnesses as a starting point to deal with mobbing It must be followed by collective spaces to re-signify the psychosocial effects of mobbing on the workers and their work.
