Total mRNA was separated electrophoretically and hybridization was performed with 32P-labeled specific probes. VDR mRNA was detected in normal (N) and tumoral (T) samples as well as in MDA-MB231 (breast cancer) and HB4A (normal breast) human cell lines. GAPDH (glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) was used as mRNA load control.
