Summary

A precipitin reaction in agar gel (method of Ouchterlony) was noted between normal human serum and certain fish hemoglobins. Evidence was accumulated that the reactant in human serum is the albumin fraction. The reaction exhibited considerable specificity in that about half the fish hemoglobins tested precipitated with human serum and half did not.
