Entropion in anophthalmias sockets

SUMMARY

The authors repport a retrospective study in 380 patients with anophthalmic socket without implants. The entropion was found in 83 cases (22%). The ethiology, types of sockets, localization of the entropion, surgical correction and the results are discussed. It was concluded that the entropion is usually present in anophthalmics sockets without implants and it is suggested that this deformity must be included in the Anophthalmic Socket Syndrome.
