Método (fórmula) para avaliação da refração ocular no glaucoma congênito

RESUMO

Os autores descrevem um método para estimar a refração em olhos com glaucoma congênito, onde as opacidades da córnea impediriam o exame sob retinoscopia. Foram estudados 51 pacientes (79 olhos) com diagnóstico de glaucoma congênito e córneas transparentes. A idade dos pacientes variou de 0,5 a 33 anos. A partir dos valores obtidos nos exames de retinoscopia, ceratometria e biometria ocular ultra-sonográfica dos olhos estudados, foi desenvolvido um modelo de regressão linear múltipla.

SUMMARY

The authors report a combined semiologic method to estimate the refraction in eyes with congenital glaucoma when the retinoscopy is impossible due to corneal opacities. This study was done in 79 eyes (51 patients) with congenital glaucoma and transparent corneas.

The patient's age range from 0,5 to 33 years. A multiple regression linear model was developed with dates obtained from retinoscopy corneal curvature and axial lenght of these eyes.
