SUMMARY
The McIntyre Superpinhole was used to evaluate the macular function of cataract patients. The correlation coefficient (r) was 67,17%. The sensibility was 97,56% and specificity was 66,67%. The positive predictive power obtained was 66,67% and the negative predictive power was 33,33%. The authors conclude the negative predictions shoud be emphasized.
