ESPLENIC ABSCESSThe splenic abscess forms an unusual pathology, found only in 0,14 to 0,7 percent in a series of autopsies. The diagnosis is generally difficult because its clinical presentation is inespecific. When the diagnosis and treatment does not occur at early stages, the evolution is often fatal. Authors report a case of splenic abscess, emphasizing the therapy adapted, wich was exclusively clinical, in a pathology where the most common management is the esplenectomy or percutaneos drainage, both followed by antibiotic therapy.
