The concept of procedure developed by the Argentine writer César Aira in his essay “La nueva escritura” is the starting point with which, in a critical gesture that stages a certain barbarism, this paper seeks to speculate around a provocation by the Chilean Roberto Bolaño: could there be a “clandestine surrealism in Latin America”?
