This article critically analyzed the process of nursing care according to Michel Maffesoli's post-modern sociological paradigm. The goal of this analysis was to understand the diversity and individuality that encompass a hybrid process of rationality and sensibility through reflections about the complexity of the relationships among caregiver-being-care during the process of nursing care. This was not an easy task to accomplish due to contemporary societal complexity. This analysis suggests that nurses' role according to the post-modern sociological paradigm must be consistent with a professional performance that respects people's lifestyle and daily activities.
