In this article are presented the main characteristics of three methods which purpose is to measure the rate of sustainability of the development. These methods were selected by specialists who operate at differents levels of the society and also deal with the concept of sustainable development. The methods described and analysed are the Ecological Footprint Method, the Dashboard of Sustainability and the Barometer of Sustainability.
