The present text is version of a conference pronounced in the Department of Genetics of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), in the landmark of the subject Amazonian populations yesterday, today and perspectives for the future. This discusses emphasized the relevance of the contributions of the first components of the Amazonian society for the society of today. It now comes to compose the scene of this thematic volume of the Bulletin of the Goeldi Museum, the presented data are fruits of previous works of field of the author at different moments and places of the region, and associates to the bibliographical research and the personal experience of the author in diverse 'fishing places' of the coast, Amazon medium, Amazonian estuary and island of the Marajo. This set served of base and of instruments for these propositive reflections for new research mutidisciplinares in view of filling gaps on the history of fishes in the Amazonia. Thus it is considered to evoke the pluriétnicas origins of the society and culture that if had formed in the Amazonia aiming at bigger clarity on the relations between the first contingents components of the Amazonian society the social segments contemporaries. With this if it imagines to bring to the reflection the value of the partner-cultural and ambient contributions of those different social populations, and to call attention for the partner-cultural legacy left by the aboriginal ancestry that involving the occupation human being in the region.
