TA could accelerate the disappear of granulation or persistent granulation. Suitable for huge granulation which blocks the glottis and the recur.

    Highlights We have investigated the fibrosis genes in the TGF-β pathway in the early and mature nasal polyps development process, respectively. PAI-1 is involved in early nasal polyps, and its low fibrolysis is predisposed to nasal polyps’ development. PAI-1 is affected by the TGF pathway, and low PAI-1 expression is one of the main reasons for tissue remodeling in nasal polyps.

    Highlights The results showed that microRNA-29a-3p expression was relatively high in non-cancer tissue cells but was relatively low in cancer tissue. Some clinicopathologic features, the expression of Ki67 and E-cadherin, and the survival time of HPC patients were correlated with miRNA-29a-3p. This study found the relationship between miRNA-29a-3p and the occurrence and development of HPC. This study will contribute to the individualized treatment of HPC, which improve the treatment strategy and prognosis evaluation system of HPC.

    Highlights Protruding ear can causes low self-esteem, leading patients to undergone otoplasty. Otoplasty with or without conchal preservation significantly reduce the deformity. Careful analysis of the auricular deformity to choose the best surgical technique. Eclectic technique with conchal remaining suture is effective for ear correction. No significant difference between otoplasty with and without conchal preservation.

    Highlights sPD-L1 is potential predictive biomarker for differentiation of malignant lesions in head and neck region. Significantly higher levels of sPD-L1 are detected in malignant tumors. Higher levels of sPD-L1 proves reliable prognostic biomarker in predicting early recurrence of laryngeal cancer. Increased sPD-L1 correlates with poor disease-free survival in head and neck cancer.

    Highlights The associated oral manifestations in HIV patients remain present even in the HAART era. Periodontal disease with or without mobility were the predominant oral lesions in the patients of this study. No relationship was found between oral lesions, TCD4+ and TCD8+ cell count, TCD4:TCD8 ratio, or viral load. There is a protective effect of duration of treatment with relation to periodontal disease with mobility.

    Highlights The safety and efficacy of alternating chemoradiotherapy using cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil were retrospectively examined in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. The overall comlete response rate was 93% with preserving renal function. The 5-year overall survival and progression-free survival rates were 83.7% and 88.9%, respectively. Treatment compliance, the 5-year overall survival rate and the 5-year overall survival rate are comparable to that of previous reports. Alternating chemoradiotherapy using cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients was well tolerated with acceptable efficacy.

Findings to consider urgent release for linear type of pediatric orbital blowout fractures: missing rectus and OCR. Present the results using the Hess area ratio, an objective measure of treatment outcome. Simple algorithm easily used even for physicians who do not specialize in orbital care. Algorithm producing successful treatment outcomes.

    Highlights This work aims to explore whether cAMP-Epac1 signaling is also activated. We verified the differential expression of Epac1 and Epac2 in the inner ear of guinea pigs with endolymphatic hydrops. The results of this study showed DDAVP upregulated Epac1 protein expression in the guinea pig cochlea. The article laid a theoretical foundation for further investigation on how DDAVP regulates endolymphatic metabolism to induce EH and affect inner ear function.

    Highlights The change in brain gray matter volume in NPC patients after radiotherapy in long-term follow-up were studied. NPC patients with the radiation-induced hearing loss had abnormal brain gray matter volume in the auditory center and other sensory centers. Our findings might provide new understanding into the pathogenesis of radiation-induced brain damage in normal-appearing brain tissue.
