This paper presents the results obtained from a study of the root system of mamoeiro, variety I.A.C. - 16 MA, hermafrodita, with fruit of pulp rose-colored cultivated in arenito Bauru soil at two ages of the plants: 4 and 12 months. The root system reached respectively the depths of 1.60 and 3.40 m and the most quantity of roots was present in the upper layer of 30 centimeters i.e. 76 and 86% respectively.
