The heaping up height and heaping up time with earth in the peanut crop

Experiments were carried out in 1988/89 and 1989/90, in Adamantina, State of São Paulo, Brazil, to study the influence of three heaping up heights (3, 6 and 9 cm) and two heaping up times (28/29 and 57 days after sowing), on peanut population, pod number per plant, pod yield, kernel yield and kernel weight, in one hundred grammas of pods. The heaping up height did not influence the peanut population and kernel yield. Heaping up time influenced pod yield, pod number per plant and kernel weight in one hundred grammas of pods.
