IAC-MARAVILHA, IAC-UNA, IAC-CARIOCA PYATÃ, IAC-CARIOCA ARUÃ, IAC-CARIOCA AKYTÃ E IAC-BICO DE OURO: NOVOS CULTIVARES DE FEIJOEIRO

The origin, morphological characteristics of plant, pod, seed and seed coat colors of the new dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) cultivars IAC-Una, IAC-Maravilha, IAC-Carioca Aruã, IAC-Carioca Pyatã, IAC-Carioca-Akytã and IAC-Bico de Ouro are described. `IAC-Una' and `IAC-Maravilha' are resistant to the agents of anthracnose, rust and common bean mosaic. `IAC-Carioca Pyatã', `IAC-Carioca Akytã', `IAC-Carioca Aruã' and `Bico de Ouro' are resistant to the anthracnose and common bean mosaic pathogens and also with good levels of resistance to the rust and angular leaf spot fungi. Due to their high mean yields, adaptation and plant type, IAC-Una, IAC-Maravilha, IAC-Carioca Aruã, IAC-Carioca Pyatã and IAC-Carioca Akytã with means of 2,133, 1,966, 2,041, 2,234 and 2,138 kg/ha were released to the growers of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, for planting in the rainy, dry and winter seasons. `Bico-de-Ouro' with mean yield of 2,075 kg/ha was pointed out for the rainy and winter seasons.
