New vine killees for the irish potato crop

SUMMARY

Two new vine killers were compared for the Irish potato crop: dimethyl-xantogenie-dissulfide and dinitro-ortoeresol, both in an oil formulation. It was found that the latter at the rate of 4 per cent in water was the most efficient, though good results were also obtained with the 2% dilution or with the first compound at 8 per cent.
