This paper describes the different steps taken in the covariance analysis for a simple rectangular lattice. The data are expressed as grams of seed cotton per plot from two replications each of the x and y groups of a 7 x 8 simple, rectangular lattice design. This experiment was carried out by the Secção de Algodão do Instituto Agronômico de Campinas.
