Effects of storage conditions of seed tubers on the production of irish potato

Experiments were laid out to investigate the influence of storage conditions of seed tubers on the production of the Irish potato. Four trials (two of which field trials) followed a 3² factorial design, where 3 varieties of different sprouting precocity were studied, each under three different storage conditions, namely they were kept for a certain number of days in dark, clear and cold chambers. It has been found that the environmental influences vary in accordance with the varieties considered, there being no positive correlation as to environment X type interaction, but just as to variety X types.
