Rates of magnesium multiphosphate applied by throwing in pre-sowing, under no-tillage: soybean crop

The phosphorus efficiency is influenced by several attributes of the soil that affect the answer of the cultures to the P application, including soil management. The experiment was carried out at the Água Limpa Farm, which belongs to the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, city of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais State, in the period from 1998 to 2003. It had as objective to evaluate the answer of the soybean crop [Glycine max (L.) Merrill], cv. MG/BR-46 Conquista, to the application of magnesium multiphosphate in different rates of P2O5 by throwing, in pre-sowing, under no-tillage system, during five cropping seasons. The experimental design was randomized blocks-type with four treatments (doses P2O5) and three replications. There were applied four doses of P2O5 (0, 60, 90 e 120 kg ha-1), using as source the magnesium multiphosphate. The evaluated variables were: grainyield, concentration of P in the leaves and concentration of P in the soil. The concentration of P in the soil they were also evaluated in 2000/2001, 2001/2002 and 2002/2003 years. The grain yield increased successively, with the doses of P2O5 whit the successive croppings. The concentration of P in the soil increase in a straight line during the evaluated years.
