Policies for training rural educators

The rural social movements have included two basic points in the political agenda of governments, society and training courses: the right to education of rural groups and the urgent need to implement public policies that guarantee such a basic right. Social movements are accumulating experiences from training courses in partnership with regular schools and pedagogy courses, to obtain educators able to work within the social and cultural specificities of people living in rural areas. We intend to go over the construction of such remarkable experiences to interpret the meaning within the actual context in order to postulate elements that allow the formulation of policies for training educators for rural schools. We also intend to bring forth issues for research and particularly for curricular proposals regarding training courses that actually train educators and guarantee the right to education of people living in rural areas.
