A STUDY ON THE CONCEPT OF SENSE AND THE SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF CONSCIOUSNESS IN L. S. VYGOTSKY

ABSTRACT

This text explains the semantic analysis of consciousness in Vygotsky, taking into account the concept of sense, in the author’s work, in its historical context. For that,I carried out a theoretical study of the chapter “Thought and word” and the book Psychology of art, compared with editions in Russian. I argue that, in first place, the idea of “sense” for LSV is not restricted to language or individual conscience, being also philosophical.I explain in this paper, the notion of semantic (or semasiological) analysis of consciousness, whose mark is the relation between sense and meaning.
