The article analyzes the role of the Program of Certification of Rights to Ejido Lands and Titling of Urban Lots (PROCEDE) in the social and territorial reorganization in Tixmadejé, Mexico, between 2005 and 2018. With PROCEDE, a new stage began for the Mexican agricultural sector, since It gave property rights to farmers and encouraged private investment to encourage the agriculture of crops for export. The research was carried out from agrarian history, through oral sources, the experience of local actors was obtained to know the way in which they appropriated and negotiated the inclusion of this program in the locality depending on the type of land ownership (ejido and agrarian community). The role of PROCEDE in Tixmadejé was relevant, since it included agrarian subjects such as avecindados and possessors who changed the use of the land. However, the decisions within the agrarian centers also influenced the social and territorial reconfiguration of the locality.
