Preparation and characterization of nickel and cobalt-doped barium hexaferrite

The purpose of this work was to obtain W-type barium ferrites with a BaCo2-xNi xFe16O27 composition using the traditional ceramic method commonly used in the ceramic processing industry because it is a cost-effective and relatively easy route for preparing ceramic powders. Doping materials can affect the electrical, magnetic and microstructural properties of ferrites by different mechanisms. Hence, we examined the effect of substituting the elements cobalt and nickel in the microstructure of W-type hexaferrite with a stoichiometric composition of BaCo2-xNi xFe16O27 with x = 0.0, 0.6, 1.0 and 2.
