Interdisciplinary research developed in the domains of information science and motion pictures studies, which presents a model for the analysis and representation of fiction films for application in information units such as film archives, video libraries, libraries and archives. Such units have large inventories, and need principles that can guide the indexation and organization of the collections to enable their use. Seven versions of filmic matrices were made, which included indexation fields and criteria (metadata). The final filmic matrix is composed of two large divisions, which were denominated films description and analysis of films representation.
