This work identified financial information sources produced in Brazil and analysed their quality. 33 institutions were analysed by examing their homepages at INTERNET, in order to find out their mission and/or objectives, and the sources and financial information they produced. 37 periodicals were evaluated by criteria based on the Taylor Model Evaluation of Information Sources. The institutions examined are important financial information distributors. The periodicals are well organized, but the treatment of the information is not homogeneous.
