The possible conscionsness insighit about the scientif field

The paper describes the act of weaving, in the treadmill of information science, a network to gather and explain information communication event occurred in the scientific field. As study object an article written in 1975 by G. Wersig and U. Neveling was selected proposing a social foundation for information science. The research came across clues that pointed to the fact that the authors shared with other scientists a socialist vision of information science, based upon the importance of the organization of scientific and technological information and its communication to the scientific field. Nevertheless, the authors went beyond the real consciousness of their group, as they foresaw the relevance of the information to all social groups in contemporary society. In such context, the proposition of 'social responsibility' is taken up again as a foundation to the praxis of information scientists and a 'pattern that ties together' science and ethics, in the field of information science.
