Concepts of a new technology known as corporate portal, whose purpose is to provide easy access to enterprise digital information. This paper presents definitions, main characteristics, architecture and different kinds of corporate portals found in specialized literature, being part of the literature review of an ongoing research project, whose main objective is to propose a usability evaluation methodology applied to corporate portals.
