In Brazil, the Ministry of Health is an important financier and consumer of research and projects on technological assessment. However, the formal mechanisms of accompaniment of the promotion to research are incipient. The aim of this work was to propose indicators to monitor the promotion of the financed researches. Information needs were identified and indicators were elaborated based on visits to institutions for research promotion in Brazil, literature review and technical meetings. The indicators answer witch research are financed and what is the correlation to priorities to health polities; how the financing distribution occurs, witch externalities were produced by research.. It is discussed the importance of monitoring to designate resources within priority research. The use of indicators can guide the construction of a database for the Ministry of Health.
