This article points out the characteristics of the market of information resources for elementary education in Brazil. It identifies the pattern of its advertizing process throught the analysis of the advertizing materials. Concludes that the Brazilian editorial industry concerning to elementary education has a diversified production, ofering a variety of materials, tipical of the information environmental of the contemporany society. The analysis of the adverstizing material shows some deficiencies concerning the information needed for the selection of the material.
