From making to understand science: reflexions on students' learning through undergraduate research projects in chemistry

The paper is based on a study of the laboratory work of undergraduate chemistry students during the time they were involved in undergraduate research projects. The aim of the study was to gain insight into what students learn about the nature of science from this approach to science instruction. The data were gathered through students' and professors' interviews and were analyzed using LATOUR and WOOLGAR'S concepts of sociology of science.
