Abstract
On the occasion of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Nietzsche, the National Socialist Party laid a wreath at his tomb with the inscription "To the great fighter". In seeking to move away from the ideological sense that would have motivated this phrase, the author argues that no other thinker would have exerted such deep influence on the current spirit as the author of Genealogy of Morals . The merit of Nietzschean philosophy would be not in its political character, but in its moral bias, considering that he would have "anticipated the ruin of the cardinal principles of the old civilization".
